Yukimura must really like Naotora then.
Well Yukimura's VA & Naotora's VA did get married with each other.

''Hey, you don't look like you'd be popular either!'' ~ Kai
''I'm so sorry! It's not my fault that men don't like me!'' ~ Naotora Ii
''Hey, it's all right! It's fine if we're not popular, right?'' ~ Kai
''Sorry! I think I hurt your feelings!'' ~ Naotora Ii

I think Kai was being jealous at first, at least intimidated. But she quickly apologized looking past her appearance from Naotora's worry to only then have Naotora think Kai was upset or being the victim. Just confusing LOL.

I have to admit I didn't get into KLK proper until this guy who does a lot of educational panels at cons I attend did one on it and how it compares to the rise of Japanese nationalism, WW2, and the aftermath. Like how Satsuki could be seen as Japan and Ragyo as America. He also did another one the next year comparing it to Japanese morality tales and mythology- Satsuki being Amaterasu, Ryuko being Susano'o, Gamagoori being Hachiman, etc.

It really has a lot of neat parallels you can draw in general, even to the Sengoku era (specifically Nobunaga's rise and fall) of all things.

So, I can understand why someone might be put off by the fanservice. But if you push it aside and realize the fanservice is there to draw people in and that there's a story of substance and good action beneath it, you can enjoy it.

It's funny because the guy gave a panel at some big con on the West coast and the Trigger crew was there to promote Kill la Kill, and some of them went to his panel. They asked him why he was reading too much into their show. But they thought it was cool he was using it as a tool to teach foreigners about Japanese history and culture and stuff.

Idk maybe.

Maybe they're gonna release them one by one. Or maybe they're just showing Osomatsu because he's the namesake of the series.

That sounds like ascribing way more credit to Kek Lel Kek than it deserves.

I found it degrading. But the full reason why I dropped it was because I thought it was over during this one arc and that's it. I stopped watching and when I heard there was more, I didn't feel the need to pick it up again. I wasn't into the story either- only liked three characters as well. Strong eyebrow girl, pink hair girl and the guy with the sword that's blind???

Guess it didn't helped that I wasn't into the story
