I will have to disagree with you on that. I've made friends with Muslims who were USAF; one of them was with me in my Basic Training flight. Wait, which religion, again? |

Because she works there as one. Her salary's quite high I get assumed as a rich kid for having a car that I never even drive. |

It's ok, man; I've heard it all. *handwaves* They also joke about how infantry requests for aerial support, and who comes to their rescue? Us. |

Well, the upside to working as a Civilian Employee, you already earned your credentials while Active Duty by the time you transition into the Civilian side. The downside is...waiting for a response to your resume. |

I love history and art. So it's perfect for me. I have to study intensively about the time periods/ppl/thinking/events/myths/battles/wars/historical figures (ofc)/everything plus really in depth studies about the works of art/significance/etc. It's basically any other history course but with ..an added bonus of #yikes Edited by Lynnie, Thu May 19, 2016 4:33 am.

Its true though, infantry, ESPECIALLY US infantry, LOVE calling for airstrikes, from WW2 onwards. The US infantry squad also had direct radio contact with HQ in WW2 which was quite rare at the time (In the Wehrmacht I think it was one radio per company or something, but in the US it was one radio PER PLATOON or something) so they called A LOT OF air strikes and artillery. The Americans also were one of the first to divide a map into grids for artillery purposes. Most other armies called in artillery by target (house, tree, exact coordinate) but the Americans really streamlined it by using a grid of an area using whatever recon was available. They were able to get artillery on the enemy faster than the other way around quite a bit of the time. Oh, you're not in the US or you? My bad

Well, the officer paygrades in the Naval side are as follows: O-1 - Ensign O-2 - Lieutenant, Junior Grade O-3 - Lieutenant O-4 - Lieutenant Commander O-5 - Commander O-6 - Captain O-7 - Rear Admiral, Lower Half O-8 - Rear Admiral, Upper Half O-9 - Vice Admiral O-10 - Admiral Well, that's how it was for the US Navy and US Coast Guard. I don't know what the officer structure for your country is...unless I googled it. What's your country, again? |

Lieutenant-Commander is not a high rank; that's an O-4. The higher ranks are Captain, Commodore, and the Admiral ranks.
