The thing is, he didn't really use any word or call them names... just asked them if they were Isis,
He wanted to join so he could jet off to whore island.

That's an Archer joke for those who don't know.

I mean I wouldn't go as far as to call "Soft White Man" a slur, but it was kinda hypocritical to keep referring to him as such.
I was going to call it something else but didn't want the post to get too long :P

Let me rephrase. Only people who brought race or skin color-related terms into the equation (and not in an uplifting way) were those two girls.

White people didn't "create" racism...
Well, no, but as it exists in the US, it's a very white-supremacist sort of thing. White people just aren't discriminated against in a way that harms their way of life. In other countries that aren't predominantly white, like Japan for instance, yeah, they can be.

Juding by how he was grinning when he asked them, he brought race into it first. He knew that it wouldn't be funny to ask someone that and still did it anyway.

He did start it first, but he didn't bring race into the equation, since Islam is a religion and he said it based on their hijabs :P

Mmn... I know you're Muslim yourself Bell, and I do apologize if I'm speaking over your experiences. That's not my intent. I'm just confused because, well, from what how other Muslims have described it to me Islamophobia isn't just an anti-Muslim thing, it's also anti-Middle-Easterner sentiment too. To the racists, or at least the majority of them, middle easterners are inherently Muslim and vice versa, and they're all ISIS/terrorists. It's not a very enlightened way of thinking, but people who give in to the systems of racism that make up our culture tend to not be very worldly.

One dude went on a rant once cause I opened a new checkout when it was busy, and this muslim girl moved to my queue first. So after she was gone he started mouthing off to me about how "he was in the other queue before her, so why should she get served first and people like that shouldn't bother coming to this country if they're not gonna respect our rules" then started ranting about the hijabs and stuff and expecting me to laugh with him

I'm not saying that isn't true (certain people having prejudice towards middle-easterners due to Isis and Islam stuff, that is), but to say that it's only an anti-middle-easterner sentiment would be quite ignorant. There are millions of South-Asians, East-Asian, African, Caucasian, etc Muslims who experience prejudice as well. So Islamophobia is in no way targeted to simply one race, people of many different races who can be identified by laypeople as Muslims (for example, women who wear the hijab, men who wear skullcaps and sport a beard) have reported experiencing prejudice due to their religion. So it's really not about race so much as it is about religion ^_^

It's certainly possible (or even probable) that Middle-easterners may be experiencing the brunt of this, though :o
