The best is if they try to bribe you, to take the money, and kill them anyway :sly:

I can be evil sometimes :hehe:

Cool. I take nothing against your opinion, Rance. It's just that local media loves making him look evil when he's not. The liberal politicians too.

Oh boy. Why did I continue this. I did not want to talk about it but I'm slightly triggered.

Duterte is an active president, which will make him very popular at least in his first term. He will have to deliver results on more than just "killing drug dealers" though :ph43r:

Marcos, wasn't he the guy whose wife had like 3000 pairs of shoes or something?

"Meow Liang" :heykosho: :kasugasm: :hehe:
I agree, but hey. No one ever did anything about them before he won Presidency.

Marcos is the president with the longest term (20 years, I believe) He was responsible for Martial Law. His dictatorship and corruption (apparently?) caused People Power Revolution... more like Ninoy Aquino's murder sparked that phenomenon and now, should he be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani or not this month? Martial Law victims say no. People who think Marcos is greater than the Aquinos say yes. I'm quite neutral about it, since I didn't exist when Martial Law was still here.

Damn it Japan. Also, I will probably post this only once.

That revolution with the shoes and stuff was a long time ago, though I think the Aquino family did benefit from the sympathy effect for a tad too long, a la the Gandhi family becoming a political dynasty in India due to living off Gandhi's name and same with the Clintons and Bushes in the US...

I like the Japan picture explaining Duterte's swear into Japanese :XD
So much sympathy. Noynoy/PNoy though. As much as people dislike the Aquinos nowadays, I can name only one good thing about his administration.

Tell me what it means. :|

P.S. I'm mostly neutral about local politics. I'm not taking sides. I'm not a "Marcos-tard", "Aquino-tard", "Noy-tard", or "Duterte-tard". I'm just being open-minded. Like my mom.

And Duterte and "Bato" dela Rosa don't just do the "shoot to kill" routine. There are people who surrender instead. But they don't get that much news compared to the drug-related killings.

Oh yeah. De Lima tried to make Duterte change his mind about the killings. It backfired on her and now she's the subject of ridicule for it. :|

I don't think your President is evil. His actions are strangely populist; a lot of people actually support this policy of killing drug dealers. He seems to be responding to the popular will in a lot of ways.

But I think it's a very dangerous road...

I say kill the actual drug users and spare the ones who are just framed or willingly surrendered.

Wondering how Mary Jane Veloso is doing. I mean, speaking of Indonesia... she was supposed to be executed there but it got delayed. Poor woman. She's probably just framed for drug trafficking.

Anyway, I'm kinda tired of discussing this topic today. May I go back to swooning over Shun'ei? Please?

Yeah, I'm sure some of them just surrender to avoid being killed, yeah...

The Kanji says "Sold Spring woman mother" :XD Japanese is not known for punchy swearing because in English it was translated as "son of a whore"

I'm guessing it implies "his mother sells herself in her youth so he is a son of a whore"

Japanese rarely swear. They "swear" by removing honorifics to people they dislike :XD So it was funny that the picture had them translating his comment into Japanese :XD

Sorry trina   I didn't mean to trigger you I just thought it was an interesting comment by Duterte :XD

For sure, I'm pretty sure 99% of countries have "harsher" swearing than Japan, which is so polite the worst insult they can give you is to drop the
-san suffix after your last name  (or call you by your first name, unless you're really close)

I won't discuss Duterte further, I just find him.... interesting :XD

Anyway, Shun'ei? Don't know nothing about him/her but carry on ^_^

I actually started playing persona q and this is sorta my first real exposure to persona 3 characters. I mean, I was familiar with them before but couldn't tell you much about them.

JUNPEI IS DA MAN. I'm surprised Vic Mignogna is his VA. But then again, he also voiced a hulking fairy in Mana Khemia 2, which is even more unbelievable.

That was like the only example I have, and I got back to liking The King of Fighters weeks ago.

I'm just so used with "temeeh" being said.

-san (generic suffix)
-kun (for boys or young men)
-chan (for young women/girls
-sama (for respected people: Xiao Qiao calls Zhou Yu "Zhou Yu-sama!" and Diao Chan calls Lu Bu "Ryofu-sama!" )
-sensei (for teachers or again, really respected people, usually older)

No suffix means either you are direct family or really close (ie, seriously dating), or, you really hate him/her

"temee" is a supreme insult, but it really only means

"....YOU~!" :realangry:

:hehe: I don't get it either  Japan is such a polite country, a variation of the word "you" is a supreme insult

Another one is "kisama!" which ironically means "honored sir", it was originally polite, but in WW2 the japanese army officers used "kisama" ironically to refer to slow-witted soldiers as an insult, and its remained as an insult ever since....

Vic is evidently a highly prolific voice actor who I somehow am not all that familiar with. He's done a lot of roles in anime which I didn't watch or games which I did not play. He does great with Junpei though. Love that guy's voice as well as the lines the writers give him.

I think it might have to do with honorifics, or the lack thereof. By referring to somebody simply as 'you' without any kind of qualification as to their station in society, it's like you're saying "you piece of ****" or "you lowly trash not worthy of a title."

I dunno. I could be completely off on all this. I'm not too familiar with Japanese but I do know that they don't have many or any direct swear words.

I personally like the way they casually throw around "kuso" with a bunch of other things though.

Him being Broly is the most surprising of all. I'm used to him as either Edward, Tamaki, or Xiahou Ba.

"This is a tough case, even for Junpei Iori. Ace Detective." Best Junpei quote apart from the aformentioned "Who's the man?!"

"kuso" is used with pretty much anything

Yeah, the lack of honorific already says its going to be an insult, pretty much  Or using different ways of saying "you" without honorifics :XD

"kuso" is pretty casually used though, its not really a "swear" in Japan, just used among friends. I remember I had a Japanese colleague (young guy, from Tokyo suburbs) who used the English word "sh*t" in a work setting and it was kind of funny because he didn't realize "sh*t" is.... well, best not spoken in front of customers, even if in jest (which he did, he was just a funny guy) it was quite funny
@ Trina thats ok  Its kind of fun, Japan is a.... strange country  :hehe:

Who stretched the page? Shame on you.

I hate my neighbours' dog with a burning passion. He's an obnoxious over-energetic little **** and he's the most annoying dog I've ever come across in my life.

I dislike Jack Russels in general for this reason, they're just too ******* energetic 24/7, but I've never seen one this bad. He's so badly trained.
