Anton Yelchin is still my hardest hit celeb death.

and as far as pseudo-celebrities go, the death of the co-founder of Giantbomb.com, Ryan Davis, was a big one for me

I didn't really know much about Joan Rivers and didn't really care TBH :XD

I'm not saying Thatcher was a great person, that's for every individual Brit to decide. Just saying I find it ironic that there were liberals who were saddened by Bin Laden's death but "jumped for joy" when Judge Scalia died. Like, be consistent. Don't celebrate ANY death. At this rate, some liberals are just utterly hypocritical :XD

(Not saying you are Bubble, there were some liberals in the UK who actively partied when Thatcher died, which was hilarious and sad at the same time, like, seriously, be consistent. That's all I ask)

Really don't get super sad about celebrity deaths.

Just "oh damn", and that's it.

I usually don't get sad about things unless it's something personal to me.

But I do get tired of the type of people who are like "who cares, it's just a celebrity" as if some people aren't deeply impacted by those celebrities

I got really sad about EunB and Rise from Ladies Code when Korean press were taking photos of the surviving members at their funeral along with the girl's families. It was just such a d**k move on their part to do that

I've noticed a lot of people I know like that are the ones who get super emotional at sports and cry when their team loses lmao

True, same, I save it for direct family TBH

I'm not really a music fan, so I'm just like "aww that sucks" when Prince passes away, and David Bowie and George Michael, etc.

I'm more of a sports fan, so sports legends passing make somewhat more of an impact, but its not like I'm grieving or anything.

I save it for immediate family and friends mostly

I also think its unfair to focus so much on celebrity deaths when millions die every single day all over the world. We're ALL human.

No offense to celebrity families of course. They deserve time to mourn like we all do.

I AM a big sports fan, I only cry if my team loses a big final game. I don't really cry otherwise, or else there'll be a lot :XD (Every sports team loses games, every single season :XD )

(Except the 2003-2004 Arsenal squad or the 1972 Miami Dolphins :XD )

People dying is always a weird thing for me. Either I feel something or I don't there's never a middle ground.

Like a few years ago this guy I went to high school with was found dead in a field after being missing for a few days. My mum mentioned she saw it in the paper and I was just kinda like "oh okay" cause all I could remember of him was that time he followed me home after school one day and headbutted me so hard my nose burst open.

But then like a celebrity I like dies and it really gets to me, it's weird.

Well, you never cared for the guy who headbutted you obviously, so there's that.

I remember the violent kid in elementary school (he "proved" he was "badass" by piercing his own ear with a safety pin   there was blood all over the floor and the teacher was NOT happy :XD  ). We weren't really friends or anything, though like all the other boys we did play hockey with each other and stuff. So I knew who he was. I knew he came from a rough background.

We did go to the same highschool, and then in gr. 9 we heard he joined a gang and was then stabbed to death at age 14.

It didn't affect me, I was like "ewww..... well, I'm not surprised"
If anything it affects me more now because now I realize JUST HOW YOUNG 14 is...

I've never cried for any death not in my family though

They always ask you for information, which I find leery, so I stopped doing them. I used to take them all the time when I first joined FB though (because it felt "fresh" at the time :p4h3r: )

I be feeling different ways.

On one hand, I thought the reaction to Thatcher's death was inappropriate, given she was hardly some massive human rights-abusing dictator and she was no longer in power at the time of death. It was hardly something to celebrate, we didn't gain anything from her death. Then again, does a celebration of your misfortune come with the territory of a life in politics? However liked you are as a politician, you have your detractors. I'm not a fan of her style of politics myself.

But at any rate, it's not the same as Bin Laden, who was head of an incredibly scary terrorist group and was an actual physical threat to people. I think "celebrate" is a strong word but his death is really one that... idk, kinda needed to happen.

Priorities. How are you going to be "saddened" by the death of a violent fundamentalist dragging us back to the 7th Century, and then celebrate an old ex-politician dying once she's well long-retired out of the public eye? Weird.

I basically agree with you.

It was weird how some liberals chided conservatives for jumping when Bin Laden died and then turned around years later and jumped "for joy" when Thatcher/Judge Scalia (in the US) died. Like, seriously? :XD

Be consistent.

Or alternatively if you're going to be a d*ck, be a CONSISTENT d*ck and celebrate BOTH deaths :XD :XD :hehe:
