Yeah like if you think someone is buying alcohol for a minor you have the right to refuse the sale. But when it was on the list it was like "only refuse the sale if you have proof that it would be breaking the law" and it's just like ok... that's totally not what is said when you have to do the training for it. Better to be safe and always ask for ID anyway. It's what I do whenever I end up on a checkout |

Also, different states = different laws. In Louisiana, an adult can buy alcohol for a minor, IF the adult is their parent or legal guardian. Now, how would one go about proving that? Better to get a bad review and refuse the purchase, than take a risk of it being a cop or catfish in disguise. |

A couple weeks ago some kid tried to buy a tobacco product but he's not even 18 yet so obviously we refused the sale. But then he went outside and tried asking this lady to buy it for him. |

I love whenever I ask for ID and the customer is like, "what, don't I look 18?" and I'm just standing there like, sure but we're legally required to ID anyone under 40 or who looks to be under 40 |

What's tragic about that comparison is that the actress only agreed to do the role if there wasn't romance involved in her plot. AND YET, the studio jumped in and shoved it in there anyways. So sad, because I adored her... @Frau- People are real ******** about that, too. When I was under 21, NO ONE EVER CHECKED MY ID. Because apparently, I looked old enough. ****, due to a mistake on Disney's part, I was given an Over 21 ID card, meaning I could go to Pleasure Island and get buck wild drunk, and they'd be none the wiser (I was 20 at the time). Now that I'm 31, I'm always being asked to show an ID, or no one ever believes I'm in my 30s because I look so young. It's actually kind of flattering, but I'm happy for whatever compliment I can get..

The uk like changed their laws lately so all brands have to use generic packaging which also gets hidden behind display covers now. So it's like, what was the point in even changing the packaging?? |

and honestly I don't understand why you wouldn't just have your ID on you if you're already coming in with your wallet to buy stuff, why not just have your ID in there too? |

I guess for some people it's a trust issue, like, if you ask to see their ID, they assume that you think them untrustworthy and that offends them. When it's really just a matter of "look if I don't do this I'll be ****in' fired". |

I remember I saw a girl get asked for ID once and she kicked off like "I HAVE TWO KIDS!??????" like that would solve anything. I mean, a lot of people here get pregnant at like 15-17 so doesn't really change anything |

Honestly, this should be country-wide. Because it's just foolish not to have an ID on you... |

But they claim it's a racist law that targets minorities Because for some reason a lot of people seem to think that non-white people either don't have to or somehow don't have the means to get an ID. Even though you need an ID to do anything (legally) in the country outside of being homeless. |

In certain states (Alabama specifically, wouldn't be surprised if other Southern states are similar) it is a lot harder for PoC to get IDs due to a variety of reasons. Mostly due to where they live and work vs where the DMV and other places where you can get an ID are. Some counties don't even have a DMV office, requiring people who can't drive to find a way to get somewhere one to two hours away by car, let alone on foot. It's the same reason why it's harder for them to vote, just replace DMV with poll location. It's less a specific race thing, more a general poor suppression thing. It affects poor white people who don't think kindly of sneaky politicians, too. I probably explained it wrong, and there are map and such that give it a visual and make it make more sense that I don't currently have on me. But it made sense to me when explained. I don't think as many things should require ID anyway. What happens if you lose your ID and your SSN for instance? You're just ****ed, period, absolutely nothing you can do about it. As someone who often misplaces things, it's one of my biggest fears that might happen to me. I already am not entirely sure where my SSN card is- I know it's in my room somewhere. But exactly where, I haven't the foggiest. |

Well you can't get a tax-paying job without an ID. You can't get government assistance like welfare or food stamps without an ID. You can't drive a car without an ID. You can't purchase alcohol or tobacco without an ID. You can't rent an apartment or buy a house without an ID. Difficult to get or not, everyone has to have one to live legally in this country. Anyone who is living without and isn't homeless is probably someone who is on their way to prison sooner or later anyway and will have their voting rights taken away. I don't think voter fraud is an issue anyway, I just don't see the main argument against Voter ID laws as valid. In my career in finance, anyone who is against an anti-corruption or anti-fraud measure, is probably someone who will be caught by it. It's just too bad we can't enact strict anti-fraud laws onto the people who make them. Edited by Wild Lion, Fri Jul 14, 2017 8:46 pm.

The problem with Ma Chao is that he's a Shu-Han character. Ma Chao did **** all in the service of Shu-Han. He should honestly be an "Other" character who joins Shu-Han at the very end of his story/life and then passes the torch to Ma Dai. Most people won't agree with me on this. |
