I'll get use out of it. Totally wont sell it for an Xbox One.
I will destroy you and everything you love if you sell it for an XBOX One.

Get a PS1 before you get an XBOX One.
:shifty: What if girl you noticed really likes you and everything you like but only has an Xbox One?
Then I'd buy her a PS4.

I have a PS1. :nope: I just want to play Dead Rising 3.
Find a friend with an XBOX One, then.

I'll not have you sullying the good name of my fellow PS brothers with such outrageous desires.
While you're in your PS box, I'll be outside enjoying games. :beard:

OMM; I really don't get what the hype is around Harry Styles. He's really not that good looking at all.

Probably the least good looking out of One Direction, that's how good looking he is.

Seeing the Playstation mentioned makes me think about how bad the console was. Now don't get me wrong, I love the original Playstation, one of the consoles I grew up with, 2nd console we got after our SNES, and it has so many great games and it just felt so good back in the day, but there is one major flaw to it, which is the reason why I say it's bad. I have all kinds of consoles that are getting quite old now, and nothing wrong with any of them, I even have our original SNES which is almost as old as I am, I do not know anyone however who still have their original Playstation in working condition, because the lens breaks on every single one of them. Everyone I know who owned a Playstation had the same problem, the console eventually stopped working, because the lens wore down and refused to read any discs anymore. It was one of the earlier consoles to use CD format for their games though, so I have full understanding for it. The original PS2 though, now THAT was hard to break, don't know how many times ours got knocked over.

That's strange. Had about 2-3 PS1s growing up, and none of them ever had any problems with lens...

My PS2s, on the other hand... Had about six of them, and every single last one of them broke. Mostly from falling, though.

You'd think, after the 3rd one, we'd have learned to put it on a lower shelf. Meh. There's a reason wired controllers are a thing of the past, I suppose.

Well, for some it took awhile, but most that were used a lot they did eventually give up, knew several that lasted a lot longer than ours did, but they all succumbed to it eventually. And let's not forget the sensitivity to scratches, oh the joys of playing Final Fantasy IX when it took like half an hour to get through every single custcene XD We did some repairwork on it though, but was no point eventually.

Ours took a lot of falls, not from that high up though, but we had ours placed vertically, those cords though, those cords XD Our PS2 went through many many years of continuously falling into the floor. It was very bulky though, so survived those falls XD When it did finally break though, it was the lens on that one too. Thought it was just me, but I have been informed that it was a more common issue with the PS2 than I knew about.

@Mr. Honda: Neither did my friend with their chipped PS, then we were going to play on it one day when we were over there, they hadn't used it in quite some time though, but last time they did play, it worked without any issues at all. What happened when we were going to play it? The console refused to read any discs at all, oh hello faulty lens, this feels familiar XD

Hmmm... Maybe memory alludes me in my old age, haha. But then, I do remember a period between PS1 and PS2 when I was using a Sega Genesis... Meh. Memory is a funny thing.

Ours was maybe 3-4 feet high. Doubt it was 5, that many times. Never had it vertically. I remember the first time, one of my cousin's kids was celebrating after someone else beat a stage. Ran into the cord, pulled the whole thing down. The lens didn't break, it was the actual disc tray, though. Wouldn't come out when you pressed the button. Was a common issue, until the slims came out. The last PS2 I had, back in 2009, was a slim. That crapped out on me around October of the year, in what I believe was a lens issue then. Wouldn't play, but it sure would come on.

Was very sad about that. Had gotten Nobunaga's Ambition: Iron Triangle not too long before, and was really into it...

Yea. PS1, from my memory, was made a lot better than PS2, but like I said. Ours fell ALOT. Maybe not the best sample size.

I do have a theory that the PS' that did survive, or "survive" were replaced my PS2's, because ours broke before we got our PS2. My friend remembered their PS working the last time they had played, but it had been a couple of years between that point and when we were going to try it out, because they stopped using it when they bought their PS2. Either way, both consoles seems to have had their fair share of lens issues XD My slim is still working though, did have issues with it for several years though with the power randomly cutting out, but my brother did figure out what that was though and fixed it. Actually a piece of solder that had came off on the circuit board where the power outlet was connected to, why it kept cutting out randomly.

Well, high falls I don't think many consoles could withstand for long, ours mostly tipped over, and nothing happened with it from all those falls XD Lens was completely unrelated I believe as it happened after we had moved out, and the PS2 was located in my room instead

Now cartridges, those were the good old days XD The universal fix for the NES and the SNES, game doesn't work? Blow out the console and the cartridge, pop it back in, enjoy XD

Those were the days...

Probably how come I had such good lungs in my teen years, blowing into all those Sega cartridges.

Lens had to come in and complicate everything. Blowing was very reliable, near guaranteed. But if your disk got scratched up.... ugghhhh

Me and my friend did it all the time for his NES, did it a bit for our SNES, but was rare that it was actually needed for that one XD ALso remember doing it a few times with my GBC. I think Nintendo must have had the most reliable consoles over the years, not encountered many of them breaking at all. XD

I do remember the joys of getting the PS2 though, had several games that our PS just gave up on entirely during the last period, couldn't even start them up. Them came the PS2, put them in just to see how badly scratched they had been, and it ran them perfectly, without an effort XD Those were happy days.

My mind is only filled with one thing right now, SPATE! SPATE HAS FINALLY BEEN GREENLIGHT! Was one of the first games I noticed after I first found out about what Greenlight actually was and been very intrigued ever since. FINALLY it's been brought up high enough to get in, and should be finished during the early parts of 2014 it seems, YES!
