Crusader, who's your favorite artist?
Umm...modern artists like Kishimoto, Tite Kubo, and Eichiiro Oda. I'm discovering that my art style is realistic. Oh yeah, and Stan Lee, and any artists who can draw like the comic Scott posted previously and any other comic book artis and manga artists. I would like to learn how to draw realistically, and to be able to draw portraits because I wanna draw a portrait of my girlfriend when we meet in Summer 2018. But an experienced artist told me that I'm not ready for portraits. Tbh, I just wanna learn how to draw as quickly as possible. I'm willing to do what Scott said, and that's to have a desire to learn even when I'm really good at this; I've always been like that. Since I was 11, and got stoned in my first internet argument, I've always had a desire to accumulate more and more knowledge as quickly as possible. My problem is having the patience and maintaining my motivation to learn. But yeah....
Of course, learning how to combine the aspects of comic books and manga wouldn't be too bad ^_^

kishimoto is interesting because he actually managed to get worse the longer he drew.

Really? I found his art to be quite simplistic. Like in that one manga chapter where Madara first appeared, he drew the Katon: Goka (sorry if I spelled it wrong; can hardly remember) Mekkyaku. I liked how the fire looked like in that one Legend of Korra episode where the first Avatar made his debut.

You can't rush it, it'll hurt you in the long run. Learn the fundamentals, practice the fundamentals the practice them again.

the only art im exposed to on a regular basis is comic book art...and some of it is kinda atrocious, but most of it is pretty cool.

That said, ever since i saw this painting in high school, i've always liked it

But that's more of a classic artist...probably not what you're into...me neither, I just like this one.

there are many of them.

Well, I guess that'd depend on your opinion of art...

they all draw better than my stick figures, that's for sure...
