you'd shoot a 17 year old boy for being in the same room as your daughter whos old enough to make her own choices? :kosho:
:mori: As long as she's under 18 she can be told she can't date. Doesn't mean she'll not try. Who's to say why they were in her room.
she can be told yes but you still cant shoot someone just cause they are in your daughter's bedroom

important reminder
Depends. Was he invited over? Did he enter her room without her permission? Why was he there?
Dad thought it was an intruder.

Shooting is excessive, but only if he had time to figure out what was going on. That isn't always possible.

Its fair game if he didn't have time to think. Essentially, if the girl had to sneak him in, he wasn't welcome in parent's home at that time. No reason for anyone to be coming in, hence assumed intruder.

I'd beat the living $*** out of anyone I find in my kids bedroom in the middle of the night. I'd assume they are an intruder from the very start. If I could somehow tell its a boyfriend beforehand, then the little punk would just get thrown out on his @$$ instead :beard:

Also, "old enough to make their own choices" applies when said choices are in harmony with rules of the house, IMO. Once you're 18, you are free and clear to what you want, when you want, with whom you want. This girl was 16.

He may or may not have been though. Just because he was her boyfriend doesn't mean he was supposed to be in her room.

To add to what Mr. Honda said, he'll get in a few punches before he realized he's beating up his daughter's boyfriend. He'll throw in a few more because it's the boyfriend.

:kosho: As token old guys, you youngins need to see it in our perspective as well.

She let him in, according to that article. Or invited him over, whatever. But dad might not have known about it and just seen him as an intruder who was hanging out where he should not have been.

I don't know about Texas (thought it wouldn't surprise me) but in Florida, shooting an intruder on your property is legal.

Doesn't matter if he was or not, the father thought he was and took action.

Just thought I'd let you know cause you said they didn't have a problem with Temmokuzan not being added. 1 person just said otherwise.

As for this whole dad shooting boyfriend stuff, Idrc because I honestly don't believe any news story that corporate media brings up.

You can if you have a Private Property sign. Not sure if it's still a thing but it was some time ago. It could of been more for ranchers though. Unsure of the specifics though.

when you show up somewhere you are not supposed to be, unannounced, at 2 in the morning...**** happens. Its unfortunate...but, it happens. Probably didn't help that the dude decided to fight back instead of he (or the daughter) trying to calm things down...

Also.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a father was alerted by one of his four children that someone was in the house. When the father went to investigate, he found a 17-year-old male inside his 16-year-old daughter's room.

Detectives say the daughter told her father she didn't know the 17-year-old. At some point, there was an altercation and the father fatally shot the 17-year-old male.

Authorities say it appears the male teen was let into the house.

If you don't have guns you can't shoot people.

@Crusader: But you're willing to believe things you read on sketchy conspiracy sites?

Doctor slaps your butt then gives you a gun. You aren't a man in texas until you'e taken the life of a living thing. Hunting season is important here. It's when children become men.

They're not conspiracy sites :Tbh, I don't believe any news story I hear unless it comes from someone I know and trust's mouth. I don't really care about current news. If I had choose between listening to a news station who interrupted a convo about the NSA just to talk about how Justin Bieber got arrested over a sketchy conspiracy site, I'd probably go with the latter or neither. Because, like I said, I just don't trust corporate media and tbh, I don't really trust conspiracy sites. So I'm just like...not even going to bother talking about it. It doesn't matter to me what any news people(s) say. They're all untrustworthy sources, imho.
