Japanese is actually very hard for English speakers to learn (and the other way around)

It's because they are so dramatically different to each other in basically every way they can be; sentence structure, grammar, writing script.

It's why there's this whole "Engrish" thing people make light of, it's probably the same when Japanese people hear Westerners trying to speak Japanese, funny **** ups

Emphasis on exceptionally. Exceptionally is synonymous to especially and particularly. So yes it is very hard. If you think it's easy, then I bet you a million dollars to learn everything about the language within 1 week.

And yet I was able to memorize a good number of Kanji within less than a month :kemari:

I don't think you can learn any language in one week, that's a mission

You can pick up the basic phrases in a few hours, to learn the whole language to perfect fluency would take months of living in an environment where you can use it a lot and practise
