What does it mean to out someone?
You can google it. I'm too tired to even explain.

Wiki but correct

the act of disclosing a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) person's sexual orientation or gender identity without that person's consent.
Thanks Cruelean :) I googled it and found out what it was. Omigosh  I'm not even sure how to process the meaning of this word tbf

Don't believe everything you read. All history is very likely exaggerated to spark interest. History without imagination sounds uninspiring.
:bao: I read that Zhao Yun and Yukimura were skilled warriors. Now I don't know what to believe. Thanks, LDZ.

I saw them in battle myself when world's collided.

It's impossible to know everything that happened in the Sengoku era. Historians even now don't know everything
But I do know the majority of the info that was collected about the era

I was about to mimic Katatonia myself. When what you're reading could be lies, how would you know the real truth and everything? There could be lots and lots of lies which could have a huge impact, having a huge change of life's perspective.

Though I understand what you're saying.

I don't like the term "straight acting" though

More because it takes heterosexuals, and suggests that every man in that demographic fits into one stereotype. It's not heterophobic, heterophobia really doesn't exist. It's just like assuming that "straight" means masculine when in 2014 with metrosexual culture that's totally not the case.

And it's possible to be gay and naturally masculine. Just because I have facial hair, a relatively deep voice and I don't go out of my way to dress feminine, doesn't mean I'm "putting it on" to hide myself or get guys. And it would be the same if I was fully out.

Similarly, loathe the stereotype that feminine men can only be gay, or that they're inherently not "manly" enough to be considered men. It's like, no dude...

I guess so, but I dunno. I am wary of what I read though. I always do my own research, ofc :kemari: But I suppose no one truly knows about the era, not even those history geeks on the forum and outside of here

That's completely different, because beauty is in the eye of the holder. No offense, but I couldn't fall in love with a guy who dresses as a woman than is a really effeminate man at home, we could be brilliant friends but it's really something that can't be changed.

Exactly. Only Drake could probably manage to do that.

Lol straight acting guys though. I remember one wouldn't date me cause I didn't want to go to the gym or watch football and he constantly posts tweets and stuff about how lonely he is.

You had your chance booooi

Tbh as well I think "femininity" or "masculinity" is subjective

If I had to put myself in a box, I'd probably say I'm somewhere in the middle. But that means, relatively, I'm more feminine than some guys and more masculine than others, and I can be seen either way.

It's down to different people's interpretation of what "feminine" is

Simply don't tell everyone who this lgbt person is if they're not like openly expressing themselves as so. You can ask. There's no harm in asking if you can tell others about them. That's what I do. I ask or i see if they're openly expressing themselves as so and they don't care.

Oh man feminine vs masculine. A small little friend of my called my friend feminine just because he likes shopping and has good taste in clothes. He's gay and when he told me that I was baffled at how he was considered "feminine" just because he's gay and has good taste in clothing. :hmmm:

That's right I think. You can read and think it's all true and that you know, but that could just be all lies still from elsewhere. All we can do is try to listen and make your own mind up.

Pretty much. No one knows everything that happened in history. No matter how much research we do, in the end, it could just be fallacies. I like history and all, but I do try and stay on my toes when reading up about certain historical periods

You could also trick your history teacher into believing you're an expert on the Sengoku era when all your knowledge came from a video game

I'm homeschooled, so I don't really have a teacher I could go to and trick. And even if I wanted to, learning about the Sengoku Period isn't one of things we were leaning about this year, and I'm pretty sure high schools here don't teach it either because my sister didn't mention learning about that

And that's why you are limiting your chances of falling in love.
Now for a fab Godney quote (sorta, idk some Mexican says in it a POM interlude)

'Go beyond reason for love; it is safe; it is the only safety; love all you can and when you are ready all will be shown to you.'

Gay guys dating girls just to hide their sexuality is a bit of a cowardly move. I don't mean that offensively it's just harmful to the girl that he's dating. It's no good forcing himself he's not happy, she's not going to be happy, I don't see a point in doing that unless they're in an unsafe situation or area in their lives and they're scared.

It's normal for a short period but it's totally not a long term thing.
