Yeah, I see your point, DMR. Personally I'm fine with the alternative timeline and using that as an excuse to take more chances, but I understand why fans are annoyed that the movies missed out on Star Trek's central message. Like... be adventurous since you've established an alternate timeline, but that doesn't mean you should completely deviate from what the central message of the shows stood for, which was exploration, overcoming diversity, and the analysis of the human nature through aliens. Or something like that. I can't call myself a hardcore Star Trek fan anymore. XD |

Not that big on Star Trek but we all know people want to see Spock deal with the Borg along with Data. I can see dry humor between the two. Then Seven of Nine will appear because everybody loves hot girls in bodysuits.

It was also a message about how we shouldn't hunt a species to extinction and how our actions from the past can condemn the future, something that a LOT of people could truly care less about. "That'll be the future generations problem, not mine, so why should I care." As silly as the movie got (and it got super silly), there was still a message it relayed. The new ones do as well, sometimes they're just hard to see with all the lens flare and SUPER ACTION scenes. Honestly, I like both the old ones and the new ones... I'd just like to see them take bigger risks in the new ones, that's all. They have everyone opportunity to do so... it's not like the alternative timeline is effecting the previously established ones. As far as I know, anyway. |

Lens flare should be what they shoot when they set their phasers to stun. |

You know I always wondered why Stun and Kill mode on their phasers were so vastly different. Stun is self explanatory. Kill is like... effin' disintegrate half the time. I guess they want to be eco friendly. |

Data met McCoy and was compared to Spock.@ChibiGingi: That and remembering who you are, like when Spock told Serak to tell his mother "I am fine." in answer to the computer asking "How are you today?" |

+100 points to LittleMonsterSakura. But yeah, for all my gripes against Into Darkness, I want a third one. Haters gonna hate, I know, but I still get some enjoyment out of it. |

They better not re-add Kirk's son. Star Trek Movie Trivia: The father and mother from Seventh Heaven both played in Star Trek movies, the father in the first one and the mother in the fourth. |

Considering they trespassed into their territory and had Robocop wanting to start a war with them? Yeah, seems like a good time to bring them in... Maybe the twist can be that they're actually totally understanding of the situation and want to be friends, but someone wants them to be enemies or something. I dunno... the little we saw of them in Into Darkness made me kind of want the guys in and see what they'll do with them. I rather liked their design... |

Ohh, I remember Spock being on TNG...I think it was about something to do with the Romulans?? And I thought they met there @_@~ I do know Kirk appeared in some sort of dream world, and I also remember the McCoy one, I think. Wasn't he also trapped in some sort of void or something? @_@~ |

Star Trek: Insurrection. Data. Many laughs. Riker's face smoother than an android's bottom, Data asking about perky boobs, Worf's giant pimple. |
