And like you said it's easy to level up characters and the items you have to grind for is piss easy. And the items you have to get in WO3U is nowhere near as hard as the rares in SW4. That's another reason why I dislike the game. Because it was piss frigging easy.

Especially since Orochi is supposed to be a really powerful boss? Heh. He ain't been powerful since WO2 :xiao:

Maybe I have a different definition of grinding ...

Unlockables (unique weapons, personal items/heirlooms, etc.) I usually don't include in the "grinding" discussion because you are getting something tangible for your efforts, and the fulfilling the requirements to obtain them is generally straightforward.

Unless of course, there is some level of chance involved where you have to repeat the same process over and over until you trigger the unlock conditions. That falls under "grinding" for me.

WO3 really only had the items you found in boxes and the ones with unique conditions as far as unlockables go. Everything else was a matter of grinding to level up weapon compatibility, character skill proficiency, overall character level, etc.

Just like Itsukushima proficiency runs in WO2, there are definitely easy ways to complete all the grinding in WO3, but it just takes so long with so many characters :kurokan:

To me, grinding is when you have to repeat the same process over and over to achieve results.

I don't consider getting unlockables grindy unless they become a chore to get.

Yeah, that's what I'm referring to as well. When you have to keep doing SOS just to get a specific item, and if you fail, you have to repeat and repeat :kurokan:

When you have to grind to finish a game, it's fine, but what's not fine is having to grind just to finish the game when the game has 0 replay value, case in point WO3/H/U, DW8, and DW7
Most of the WO2 grinding was just to unlock a mediocre Dream Stage, and eventually, Orochi X.

Other than that, there were no tangible rewards for maxing out one's proficiency. It supposedly made your R1 specials better, but the difference was negligible, IMO.

At least in WO3, you could tell that your attacks were stronger once your weapon proficiency was maxed out. They got that part right, but making you grind 54 levels to achieve that is cruel :kurokan:

Hoping the rare Unlimited Mode loot is worth grinding for since vanilla WO3 is getting a bit stale lately :asia:

Over half my character roster is sitting at somewhere between levels 30-40
:nope: Puyang Castle was fun using Hanzo, Huang Gai, and Xu Zhu.

:asia: Pang Tong calling Hanzo slippery, and just whooping on Yuan Shao was awesome.
