I bet peons in DW8 and SW4 are the same level of stupid

DW8XL peons though, are awful...those stupid shield guys, the archers, the punchy dudes...all the worst. Not even hard, just tedious.

Especially since DW's peons don't have their full movesets that were cut for some asinine reason after DW5 era :toyo:

But Godspeed does make peons even more irrelevant than ever before.

And those cool different troops with sumos and stuff are so few. And they also get wrecked by Godspeed.

they are literaly the same, they sit there, and do nothing

SW4 has a LITTLE bit mroe variety with peons but not much

saying godspeed makes them easier is kind of valid i suppose, but antoher way of looking at it is that godspeed just makes fighting the braindead peons that we all know are going to forever remain a non element to the game more fun and flashy

Not really though?
In comparison to other SW sure, they're less of an issue than ever

but in comparison to DW8? **** no, theres no difference at all, you mow through peons by the hundreds in btoh games without even putting the tiniest bit of thought into it

I miss when peons and such weren't just non-elements. DW2 and fresh character DW3 even a major could take a full combo to kill on Normal :asia:

there were also way less soldiers back then...if every major could kill with a three hit combo now...good lord. :kurokan:

and I like having a hundred enemies on screen.... :upset:

I remember not breaking a couple of hundred kills often in SW1. It was a massive deal whenever I got a 1000.

didnt the difficulty in SW1 scale to the level of your character? Which was an issue if you were playing two players with very different levels...cause it always defaulted to the highest level, or something

yeah, getting 1000 kills for yuki's fourth weapon in sw1 was actually a challenge? like if you procceeded through the level too quickly it would be impossible to get that many kills and sometimes i actually got my ass handed to me by the odd group of wind ninjas

Defaulted to Player 1 actually, remember abusing the fact for 4th weapons by being player 2 with high level and player 1 character resetting :mellow:

**** THAT THING WAS PURE HELL.

I think there was an unique item that also needed 1000 kills in a stage.

I also remember that unique item that required you to beat a drum like 100 times.

i loved level scaling

made the final battles less trivial.
i dont remember the drum beating in sw1? im pretty sure that was how you unlocked Keiji in WO1 or something
