Well, EYS reminded me that you can apply math to a lot of other fields, even if you aren't majoring in math.

I'm not smart enough for AP maths. I's dumb. I did AP English twice though- in 11th and 12th grade! :D

Okay sure.

@Randy: Yeah you need math for some things, but I don't believe that I'll use things like functions for example in real life tho

I'm doing grade three fractions in college. Maybe it's better, so I can get reacquainted with it.

Maybe
And anyway, I don't think math is useful because sure a scientist or a construction worker might need it, but that's not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to go to Japan and possibly become a citizen there, which won't really require anything math related other than counting strokes and math I use daily which was taught to me before Grade 8.

I won't need advanced math for anything I plan on majoring in. That's why I think math is a basic time. Sure it might be teaching me to learn how to learn, but I'm not ever gonna use this shite in real life so what's the point, other than to waste my time :kosho: ?

EDIT: And what I want to major in is International Studies in Japan :kosho:

If you're not doing something major in science or math or business (which usually requires a lot of math), Japan probably doesn't want you and won't give you citizenship, maybe not even a work visa. They don't like immigrants and if they let one in they want him to be useful.

Yeah I know he's been there (I recall him posting a pic of him in Japan? And he also said his Dad works there?). Anyway, believe me, I got it handled :D But if I may ask, what kind of usefulness would they require? It's not like I'm going to be working for the emperor or anything

Japan is a pretty secluded country. They're not used to seeing foreigners much and especially people of color. (white/black) Generally it's just a long process to apply for a visa of any kind to go to Japan. Go to youtube and search it up. (RachelandJun has info on that stuff)

Nghet is right too. Asians be hardcore about math. (seriously) You better be ef'n dedicated to studying. It's nothing like the math you learn in North America.

Also put into consideration, the Japanese are very strict and harsh in what/who they want working for them. As a town that seems to always evolve, they need people who are willing to move forward, and have the skills to move forward with them

This.

Everything is faster in Asia. People walk faster, talk faster and do things faster. If you're even one bit slower, you're blocking the earth's rotation. (Chinese saying)
