The only game I'm dying to get is Dragon Age: Inquisition and that'll be on my PC.

@Worthless: Sorry, I just got lazy and quoted you instead of the OP.

Hopefully there are some people who like Korea for other things aside from overrated K-Pop. Like the food which always has kim chi regardless of your main course (I learned it the hard way when my Korean professor treated us for lunch last March). I do like a few Korean dramas like Absolute Darling and Full House. I adore how funny Sandara Park and Ryan Bang are. I find Hangul writing rather easy. Speaking the language is another story though.

I honestly don't like much about Korean culture at all. I don't like their food or their writing system. I admire their progress in high-tech, but the core of their society is rotten. There's major problems with human trafficking and everybody there gets plastic surgery because they are completely vain and superficial. Their obsession with e-sports also grates me. I never liked any of that competitive gaming stuff and the fact that they take it as literally equivalent to a national sport strikes me as pathetic.

There are perhaps two things in total that I admire about Korean culture. I like their history. That's #1. #2 is that there are many good Korean dramas on television.

Other than that, and with no offense to Koreans, I generally prefer anything and everything about Chinese and Japanese culture.
Tell that to the K-Pop fans, which I don't wanna be.

And some of their MMO games are awesome too, like Ragnarok and Grand Chase (made a topic for the latter but no one cares about it :P ). Making Korean sentences on my own also makes me partly dislike Korea in general.

What possessed you into buying an Xbox1 Kami? :hehe:

I never used to console fanboy but I am absolutely pressed now. That Xbox1 looks like a complete joke.
I didnt buy one, my brother brought his over here to play Destiny. He went to school, so I was playing it for a bit. Before the battery on the controller died...he didnt bring the charger.

But I do plan on getting one soon. Probably before the WiiU...kinda over the WiiU now, though it was my original plan.

Their gaming record is very mixed.

I'll fully admit that I've enjoyed several Korean MMOs but there are also a lot of cheaply made ones that aren't very good.

However, I can vouch for Korea's games industry. It's nowhere close to as good as Japan's, but it's better than a lot of other countries' contributions to video games.

I don't know how to feel about K-Pop. However, I dislike South Korea's whole cult of beauty. This renders plastic surgery necessary for respect, status and viability within their society. I feel that this is disgusting and is one of the things that makes South Korea's culture truly rotten.

Better South Korea than North Korea or China. The latter two are Communists and Communist countries are evil. (Don't get me started about China and it's really evil because citizens of China are territory thieves.) Though Japan still best Asian country for me after the Philippines, of course.

But I like how clean Singapore is and Indonesia too.

I can't see China still being communist in another few decades. They're having their taste of capitalism now, and it's hardly hurting them

Our suburban life where everyone dresses the same, goes to work at the same time, and live in similar houses is so much more better in keeping our individuality.

North Korea is quite possibly the literal worst country in the world. It's definitely in the top 3. Generally I can say at least one good thing about Communist despots like Castro, Ho Chi Minh and even Stalin. I cannot think of a single good thing to say about North Korea's leadership. They just suck. They're maybe one level better than Pol Pot.

China is harder to pin. Their society has some real problems, such as with corruption in the government. However, there are many things about Chinese culture and society which I admire. I am actually a Sinophile moreso than a weeaboo, which is why I'm learning Mandarin instead of Japanese.

I appreciate Chinese culture a lot more than Korean culture. Despite South Korea's government being obviously better than China's, I still dislike South Korean culture more because of their absurd under-the-knife beauty culture.

I like my commies like I like my coffee. I don't like coffee. :sly:

But seriously though, communism in of itself isn't flawed it's just whenever carried out IRL it's usually by the power hungry so everything gets ****ed.

I would also argue China isn't that bad, actually. Certainly insulting to the Chinese government to compare it to North Korea. Sure there's censorship, which is awful, but North Korea has loads of far worse human rights violations.

I don't know much about traditional Korean culture, I only know a little about Kpop and the beauty standards around it.

We never really learned about East Asia in school. I'd like to learn more about Japan personally
