Oh absolutely, yes I see your point on that. There is definitely a scapegoat mentality in the UK sometimes.

Tbh though I do think it's true about the job thing. A lot of not-working class (won't call them working class) Brits are content to sit around on benefits and let there be a need for immigrant labour, then when the immigrants come to get those jobs they cry "oh they've stole it!". Entitlement.

Not coming for all the girls on benefits, of course. Some genuinely do need them either because of lack of jobs or health problems and I'm working class myself, I understand that. Some are in a "what's your excuse?" situation though.

While the threat is obviously exaggerated and involves a large degree of bigotry, I think that the islamophobic reaction, though unjustified, is understandable to some extent. You can say similar things about any time or place in history where there were a lot of immigrants. The United States has a vast history of nativist reaction to foreigners, foreign religion and foreign cultures.
That would mean that their negative reactions to immigrants/Muslims/ Muslim immigrants is unsurprising and predictable, not understandable or condonable.
I think understandable is different from condonable. I feel that the reaction is understandable, but not condonable.
Saying a negative attitude towards any immigrants is understandable only because attitudes towards immigrants have always been negative isn't very agreeable to me... Perhaps you mean it's easy to understand why/expect people to be that way.

Or I probably have a different view of the word "understandable" than you.

They're a more pacifistic one I think but still somewhat for Rememberance

Heven't seen them anywhere but I'd consider getting one
Omg did X-Factor just put a "look at how much we care! and want your votes" charity match on the intro to this groups' performance?

Using the EXP items and just wailing away at dudes in Chronicle Mode. They max out fairly quickly, got like 6 done today in a couple hours.

Ah okay, well on the sanadas 2nd stage story mode i got kunoichi to level 50 in 20 minutes, i dont know how long yours takes per character, let me know if its quicker than that cause ill do your method.

Sounds like that method is quicker. I usually have to play a stage like 4 or 5 times.

Granted Im working on two characters at a time. But I like doing it in Chronicle Mode, cause once they hit 30-35ish I get their ultimates along the way. Also lets me play with them for a bit, get used to their moves and stuff.

That's what I mean, yeah.

My main view is that while bigotry is never right, it makes sense that some would hold an anti-immigrant stance, whether bigoted or not bigoted, because they feel that they are in economic competition (jobs, wages, etc.) with immigrants. There are a few things to consider. First is the competition for jobs, which in some cases is a valid pretext for wanting to limit immigration and in other cases (as Erminaz pointed out) is a false justification. A second common complaint about immigrants is that they lower labor standards because they are willing to accept lower pay, less benefits and longer hours.

In both cases, it is obvious that Islamophobia is in no way justified whatsoever. Yet to me it is understandable why some would feel hostile to immigrants (muslim or not; I'm sure a lot of Poles in Britain receive similar hostility) out of economic circumstance.

Beyond that there is also the cultural argument. Honestly from what I saw when I went to Europe, there are many immigrants who assimilate pretty noticeably into the mainstream culture. But some Europeans feel that there are a sizable number of other immigrants who just don't fit in and don't conform to Western European civilization while at the same time expecting others to accept their nonconformity. There's been clear issues over things like burkas, minarets and other Islamic cultural features that clash with European culture or values.

I guess my "understanding" of the word understandable is different than your's, but at this point this is starting to seem like a semantics dispute. My main point is that there are reasons that make sense why anti-immigration philosophies would develop. Now this does not mean I personally agree wholeheartedly with anti-immigration, especially with the idea of expelling immigrants who have already come, but what I am trying to get at is that it is important to see the other side of the issue as well. I think people need to see why a reaction has developed against multiculturalism and why there has been a backlash against immigration, etc. It is not purely because of bigotry. Although bigotry definitely factors into it, there are other reasons that fuel the anti-immigrant views.

Interesting Bloody Roar 2 prequel fanfic is interesting. Too bad I'll never learn what Kenji's name was before Yugo adopted him... unless his biological parents really named him that way.
