OMM: Tried being offensive in DOA... Didn't work out so well... You can still be offensive while reading the opponent's moves and staying alert on counters.
OMM: Really? Do I really have to argue with ny sister again?

You can still be offensive while reading the opponent's moves and staying alert on counters. OMM: Really? Do I really have to argue with ny sister again? I went extremely offensive, like I just attacked and attacked...
OMM: One more DOA siggy, Hitomi or Christie....

Same here, but for me, it's porbably 30-40, since I have been making one on a daily basis.
OMM: Yuriko Kaida needs more main songs. She's tied with Hikaru and Keiko for my top Kajiura utahimes.

On my mind is how easy DoA3 is compared to most other DoA games, especially 4. Went through Story Mode with Kasumi on hard and only lost once against Hitomi who read me well and used her stun/air combos really well. Had a close fight with Jann Lee, and thought I would lose against Hayate after being pinned up against the wall and was one hit away from KO with him having around 75% health left, but did win that one in the end. Omega didn't even stand a chance, and I have been a bit disappointed with my form recently. Don't think I'll ever get back to how good I used to be, but had a period where everything I did was just off. SHould play on Very Hard but can't bother changing right now.

That's because they increased the aggresiveness in 4 and the frequency of being countered. But I find 4 a little too hard at times, especially against Bass and Alpha152
I've been practicing a lot lately myself. Mostly with my favorites, Christie and Helena.

Main thing that makes 4 hard for me is that it's so picky on the counters, can't even be a split second off or you'll miss it. Plus they have certainly made all the difficulty settings harder,AI's are a lot more effective. 4 is the worst game in the series to start with, especially if you haven't played a lot of fighting games, no low difficulty that you can use and get the feel of how everything works. Really glad 3 was my first because it's by far the one most kind to the player imo
And I haven't been practicing, I just play it every now and then when I'm bored. Played it yesterday for the first time in quite awhile so.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deep
Your gonna need to practice holding more since in DOA5, the timing is stricter than DOA4, BUT I think the AI is worse countering cuz I never seee it counter me...
Is the actual grab system improved in 5? I felt like i could never land one in 4.
I think so I could land throws a little than in DOA4, Hayabusa has an air throw though. If you want to throw try PPThrow... It's an infamous strategy in DOA...
What's pp throw? Punch Punch Throw, most of the time people hold during the third or second hit so you can surprise them by using a throw instead of a strike, I use it whenever I've being offensive, but since I'm a waiting type (most of the time :ph43r) I don' recommend using when your on the defensive...
