@Ce Oh Well that makes sense. Well, what fighting styles do they use?
Akira is Bajiquan/Hakkyoku-ken. He should be just like a heavier but more powerful version of Kokoro but the actual fighting style is exactly the same. Sarah is a base of Jeet Kune Do with MMA mixed in. If anything she would be the closest to Jan Lee even though it is definitely not as similar as Akira and Kokoro. (Jacky would have been a lot closer to Jann) So, then maybe Sarah will be like a mix of Jann Lee and Kasumi?
@Biki I just mean Guan Suo can't join. ever.

After reading discussions above two things are on my mind. First one, I'm the only huge Leon fan I know of, and only person I know who main him. Seen plenty of Bayman players around, but don't recall a Leon player. Second, I don't understand how the grappling can be greatly improved when it's been great since DoA2.

Maybe. But then I won't play Sarah or Akira because you're a traitor
@Biki They've toned down the boobs though. Tina's the only one left with ridiculousness lol. And Lianshis lame
@Trash I mean that its easier to land grabs, from what i've seen anyway.

Daqiao can get in as the long range zoning character! Using her gemsticks of course!
Now that I think about ALOT of KOEI characters can get in DOA...

And now this thread has become a heavy discussion about DoA.
Any fighting game should be tried out. The more well-known ones are Tekken, Virtua Fighter, KoF, and DOA. Each one has its own set of gameplay mechanics to set each title apart, such as DOA with its triangle-counter system.

@Kazu- Somehow it always happens.
Poor main threads. We should give them more love too.

@Trash I mean that its easier to land grabs, from what i've seen anyway. Landing throws isn't hard either, actually find it easier to land than in most 3D fighting games. It's all about reading the opponent and finding the timing, not hard when you get the feel for it. But I've done it a lot since my two of my mains, who are also my main tag team, are probably the two strongest grappling characters in the series.
Was never too fond of Akira myself, don't dislike him but he's too much of the typical fighting game main character for me. And as a whole, they have put in pretty much all the common character types, although most of them do have quite unique things to them. Goh all the way though But I love my freak characters

Actually a few characters use weapons in fighting games Genra, Hehachi, Ibuki and correct if I'm wrong but couldn't Ryu use the sky torn blast in DOAD?
It would be a new change plus she wouldn't even attack with the gemsticks just send out balls of pink energy and tornadoes...

Brad Wong isn't a freak character though. He is fun, but not on my favorite list. But he's just a slightly weird drunken fist fighter, he's far from a proper freak character, at least by my standards.

Actually use plenty of throws with Christie myself, she's perfect for setting up throws with her stun moves. Brad Wong isn't a freak character though. He is fun, but not on my favorite list. But he's just a slightly weird drunken fist fighter, he's far from a proper freak character, at least by my standards.
I main Christie playing style is usually just setting up with her serpent stance moves, then going from there. So who would be the freak character of DOA then? (if there is one ) Raidou, What he did was unacceptable...
OMM: It may take time, but it may be worth it in the end.

Yeah that is true i guess. I main Christie, and thats obviously not the character for grabs. soooo If you love freak characters, then you must love Brad Wong right?

(if there is one ) That's what I do with the throws, so easy to set them up with Christie, although she doesn't have as powerful ones as some other characters, so only in certain fights I use that strategy.
And by my standards, there is none. The one who comes closes would be Tengu but... he doesn't have the right personality for it. Some that comes to me from the top of my head is Ryuji Yamazaki from Fatal Fury, Shikyoh/Mukuro form Last Blade, Oni from Rage of the Dragons, Goh Hinogami from Virtua Fighter. Oh and Lizardman certainly fits in there with his new story in SCV. And forgot Baraka from Mortal Kombat, he do have the personality for it, he's not part psycho like the others, but he certainly have the aggression and brutality to make up for it.
