Ok, I'm planning on making a MS + Skills combo guide. Wodash did something similar here but it wasn't quite the guide I'm planning on making.

Basically, I've noticed playing Gundam Musou 1 that there are certain X/[] string moves, as well as Charge and SP moves that come to life with certain other Skills and Attachments put in place. I basically plan on going through all the MS in both games with various skills and attachments in place and seeing what particularly 'poor' moves can become very useful.

Examples so far that I've found would be the Musha Gundam's C4 with Impulse and Hard Strike (which can seriously drain Ace health and clear crowds at the same time if you're lucky enough), and Master Gundam's C4. This C4 is a particular 'centre piece' of the Guide so to say, as it's pretty useless at clearing crowds until you combine it with Impulse and it suddenly becomes extremely useful. The end of Turn A Gundam's level 1 SP becomes pretty devastating with Zero Range Shot too.

Concerning Gundam Musou 2, I also noticed in a Youtube video that a player was using Hating to Lose, Square Drive and that Overdrive skill which made every Ground SP a Combo SP. He was using God Gundam and was able to become extremely deadly with this combination. He would win a duel with God Gundam, which then doubled his attack. Straight away he'd use God Gundam's combo SP which created two clones, and he'd then use the C4, which when combined with Square Drive could completely destroy an Ace in a matter of seconds.

So yeah, I basically plan on going into depth with every single move every MS has and pointing out how you can improve on them with various skills and attachments. Wodash's guide was more specific to each MS rather than each move, which shows the difference between the Guides..

With roughly 3 weeks to go until this is out, I'm going to go through every MS on GM1, and then begin to make a proper Guide out of this in due time. If anyone, and I mean anyone already has certain little combinations they already use, whether it be in GM 1 or 2, please share them here and help build this guide up. You'll receive all credit for what you post. Please please please help me out here.

Of course I will go a through a general 'clean up' of various moves as well. If a combination SP is much, much more useful than a standard one, even without any other attachments or skills to improve it, I will state this with each MS (Strike Freedom, Turn A, God Gundam etc). I will explain why in each case. And of course I will add in the obvious combinations such as C1 = Sniper, Headshot, Zero Range, Sharp Shot, etc, even if it's obvious.

-

I also feel like adding another list to the Skills Guides others have released, but I feel the authors can probably do it themselves, though I gather I'll have to add this regardless. Basically, I'm after an A to Z listing of all Skills, and then what MS can be used to gain them. BlackKite created one similar here but it's not in the order/listing I would prefer, so maybe with your permission I can take what you've got there and change it into a more user-friendly England language version please.

What you currently have is this layout:

"ヘッドショット Headshot
C1 shots have chance of destroying enemy in 1 hit
Probability: Very rare
Available MS: Gundam, Z Gundam

明鏡止水 Serene Mind
SP gauge gradually refills by itseld
Probability: Very rare
Available MS: God Gundam, Musha Gundam Mk-II

DG細胞 DG Cells
Enemies do more damage, but HP gradually recovers by itself
Probability: Very rare
Available MS: Master Gundam, Musha Gundam
"

Whereas I would prefer to turn it more into this kind of list below. I don't need to explain the benefits of the skills in the list as I will have done so previously throughout the entire guide:

"Charisma: Barzam, Geara Doga, Gelgoog JR, Gyan, Jegan, Z'Gok CA

Damage Cancellor: Geara Doga RS, Gouf, Hambrabi, Mass Bawoo Axis, Rick Dias, Palace Athene

DG Cells: Master Gundam, Musha Gundam

Fault of the Youth: Barzam, Bawoo, Destiny, Jagd Doga, Zaku II CA

Fighting Instinct: Bolinoak Sammahn, Bound Doc, Epyon, Gelgoog, Mass Bawoo GT, Zaku II CA

Good Luck: Ball, Jagd Doga QP, Zaku Tank, ZZ Gundam
"

In an alphabetical order, basically. I've yet to find one prioritised as so and it's what I'd look for if I was after such a Skill Guide, so maybe I'll make it myself tonight, who knows.

Thanks for reading and helping in advance if you do so

Looking forward to this immensely, especially if anyone finds anything that's as hax as Re-GZ+Sniper+Impulse. I'd help myself, but I haven't gotten a chance to play GM2 much lately because of schoolwork.

I have to say, Jagd Doga (either Gyunei or Quess) with snipe, zero distance shot, impulse and minovsky drive is amazing in ace battles. C3 grab, the 6 funnels that shoot them are killer. Coupled with Ace Killer skill is even more deadly. And of course, barrage shot and shoot through on Quess's unit is always fun. Personally, I like Gyunei's unit more cuz of the colour.

^which can also apply to sazabi

i think i should try impulse with every single shot based MS to find out more about its greatness,it seems that impluse is the new win button right after DG cells and serene mind(and the 2 SP enhancers overdrive and high tension,to some extent)

the problem is i hate playing with an already maxed character and only 4 pilots has impulse right now,all maxed>.<

When I use the ZZ in DW:G1 I find myself always using the skills:
Hard Strike
Sniper
Range Enhance
High Tension

Hard Strike and Sniper because of the melee and shot based attacks in it's C2 and C3, hard strike just for C4 ans S-string. Sniper just for C1 and shot attacks when in G-Defender mode.
Range Enhanced for making the huge beam saber just that large, to keep enemies further away. Also works really well after a deadlok because the size of the saber is that large it hits on the first atack without needing to dash (Giving that the enemy doesn't dash away).
High Tension is to make the SP longer and powerful, definatly needed for the High Mega Canon attacks.

@cao pi:i think that the guide is about GM2

note that the skill property and general gameplay are much changed in GM2

i.e sniper does not work on C1,only on C2 onwards and would not affect SP attacks, there's a new skill called "headshot" for that(sniper is no longer a skill, its an attachment)

as for range enhance,is it just me or i never see anything significant in it in both games(GM1&2),unlike the "reach" upgrade from WO which is very visible.

Range Enhance only seems to work via a Beam Sabre in a swiping move. I agree that it's not as good as the Dynasty Warriors/WO versions though.

Just got time to read this. But feel free to take some references from the guides as long as proper credit is given. :)

Speaking of which, now that the most important project in college has ended, I guess now there's time to continue updating the General FAQ...

Hmm. I'm currently playing Odessa, as Amuro, in the Black Gundam Mk II, and thanks to Impulse I can't land that second stage of my C2. Maybe I can potentially find some pros AND cons of various skills then?

just started using Milliardo and this maybe obvious but Range Enhance and Hard Strike are very handy for Epyons C4 when it comes to crowd clearing

Hmm, I'm currently experimenting that now, my Milliardo is kind of poo so I'm doing it with Amuro (who has all skills), I think that his Impulse is getting in the way though. I'll finish this level with Amuro so I get better Parts (after looking back on what I was using with Zechs I'm surprised I ever got to Mission Three with him) and then try it with Milliardo himself. Thanks so far though :)

hard strike is not "handy" IMO,it's "essential" for melee MS,the same with sniper for shot based MS,in other words a must get(aside from class 3 that doesn't have charge attacks of course)

range enhance however,is "handy" since it does not work for everyone

i think its handy and not essential because i don't like changing my skills after i max a MS and move to a new one so i use a rounded skill set that works on any MS imo so i only use hard strike/sniper if there on the pilot naturally

I tend to always use Serene Mind, High Tension, Square Drive and Hard Strike/Sniper if possible. Thankfully there's a bit more variety in GM2 but it felt pretty lacklustre that there was actually only about 5 or 6 Skills that were any good.

err, there are no mech sense in GM2,only pilot sense............since GM2 does not have mech levels.....

no matter,i see you are talking about GM1,since epyon has a LOT better way of clearing crowds aside from C4+hard strike in GM2.......

that and hard strike is an attachment,so you don't waste skill slots for hard strike and sniper in GM2,they stick to the MS instead of the pilot, which is why it's "essential",not handy

please add GM1 in the posts if you're talking about them, since this topic is obviously discussing about GM2.....(unless osiris is also making a GM2 guide)

as for osiris

not really, most of the skills are made for progress, for example moonrace and customize are very useful when you have them early,of course there are more skills that is better,IMO 90% of the GM2 skills are useful if you have them in the correct moments

there are however,a large amount of useless attachments in GM2....
