Usually when they are unlocked, an item report message will appear. So do take note of this: (貴重品) Also, knowing the names of the officer in Japanese would give you an advantage as well so you don’t need to keep referencing to the pause menu all the time -Fast Characters/Horses Next, use Sun Wukong (孫悟空). He is the fastest character in the game and his speed stat is already maxed out when you unlock him. Yes, he can be your horse for you! Though to cut down time you can always level him up so that you don’t have to always switch characters. (Unless you like to use a particular character, or dislike Sun Wukong). However, if you have yet to unlock him, you can use Red Hare/Matsukaze when you have Cavalier (馬術強化) at 10 or more. They’re more or less equivalent to Wukong in terms of speed, but if you use Wukong, you don’t have to spend time getting up and down the horse everytime. (Or if your character you’re using is a beast on a horse, though Wukong himself is a beast on a horse =P). -Easy difficulty Playing on Easy definitely helps as enemies have lesser health and are less aggressive. However, some treasures require you to keep some officers alive (or for Wei 16’s case, ALL OF THEM), so you might want to play on Normal or even Hard since they have more health on these difficulties. -High Levelled characters Bringing a high levelled character always helps as on Easy, he/she can probably rip the opponents into shreds in no time. It feels kinda cheap doing that but you’ll do whatever it takes to get the treasures right? RIGHT? -Know the Stage Knowing the stage where the treasure is at does help too as you’ll know the shortcuts around the stage and whatnot. ==================================================== 1.Unlocking the treasures ==================================================== A short explanation on how my guide goes. Example: Sengoku 2 - Honnoji This is the stage in question of course and the location of the particular stage. Requirement: Escort Takigawa Kazumasu (滝川一益) to the fire attack site to put out the fires. Once officer in question is reaching the attack site, defeat the officers that appear around the location to stop the fires. Item appears in an area just south of your starting position. Item: Obisidian /黒曜石 This shows you the very basic unlocking requirements on getting the treasure. It also tells you where the treasure is located and what treasure you are unlocking. Method: This doesn’t have a time limit so you can take your time but don’t take too much time until Cao Cao is defeated! First, play the stage as you normally would, going downwards to get to ‘Cao Cao’, until you see a message onscreen that Takigawa Kazumasu is moving to stop the fire (his name will flash onscreen). Stay close to him and defeat anyone that ambushes him, meaning Dong Xi (董襲), Chen Lan (陳蘭) and Sun Shang Xiang (孫尚香). This tells you the step-by-step method on getting the treasure. I’ve simplified them to the best that I can so that you have little problems in getting the treasure. Location: This one, where applicable, shows you a picture direct from the game from where I got the treasures. So if my descriptions are bad, the image can do justice! And now onto the unlocking methods according to how they’re ordered! Good luck! If you don’t want to skim through all of them, here’s a shortcut to each treasure. Item spawns near the base where Pang De appears. Item: Jade/翡翠 Method: One of the simplest treasures to get. Just rush towards Yue Ying and break the jail she is locked in. You can defeat the generic snake officers on the way to her for safe measure. Location: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii173/Crimsondramon/MOZ%20Treasure%20Guide%20Locations/Shu2Location.jpg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Wei2] Wei 2 - Tian Shui Requirement: Within 9 minutes, defend all 3 storehouses by defeating Akechi Mitsuhide (明智光秀), Inaba Ittetsu (稲葉一鉄), Ando Morinari (安藤守就), Ujiie Bokuzen (氏家ト全), Gamo Ujisato (蒲生氏郷) and Huang Gai (黃蓋). Item appears in northeast corner. Item: Amber/琥珀 Method: Not a difficult treasure to get. First go charge towards Ujiie, then to the nearby Gamo. Go downwards past the lone officer near the two guard posts. DO NOT KILL HIM. Then go to Mitsuhide and kill defeat him. Ando should be near him and go defeat him next. Go towards the small path that brings you to Inaba since Huang Gai will spawn just a distance off Inaba. Let Huang Gai speak and then defeat him. After a message appears, the item will appear. Item spawns at the top left corner of them map. Item: Fluorite/蛍石 Method: The requirement won’t be enough to get the item, so here’s how to do it. First defeat the bottom-most 5 generals on the map (2 near you, 2 in the middle and 1 on the left). Sakon will appear not long after the stage starts. Once you do that quickly, go towards Sakon and the fire plan will be initiated. Go kill the Engineer that spawns nearby. After that, an Ambush that has Ling Tong (凌統), Shichiri Yorichika (七里頼周) will appear. Defeat them ASAP. Once you see Sakon’s name flash on screen (島左近)after Ling Tong talks, defeat Sakon. Gan Ning will prepare for his ambush not long after. Defeat him then. The treasure will appear. Item spawns at the southeast of Sakon's starting position, near the bridge. Item: Silver/金 Method: Not very hard if you have a destroyer on hand. First, defeat the general standing near you to open the gate. For Zhang Jiao: Defeat the two generals nearest to Zhang Jiao’s base (one infront of it and one to the left, near the guard post. For Okuni: Just run to her and defeat her. For Xiao Qiao: Defeat the guard in front of the base of her’s and once it opens, defeat Xiao Qiao. Item report will appear once you defeat the three. NOTE: Do not defeat Sakon while defeating this three or the item will only appear once the stage is ending. Item spawns in the northwest corner near the northern middle base. Item: Agate/瑪瑙 Method: Another quite simple treasure to get. It doesn’t matter which way you get the ingredients but I reckon you start from the eastern most empty fort. A crowd clearer would be good for the eastern fort. Anyone would do fine for the other two. For Eastern Fort: Destroy the 4 archer towers and all enemies that come from them. For Middle Fort: Defeat the lone soldier standing at the top left corner. For the Western Fort: Go near the lone soldier and follow him around until the ambush appears. Item spawns near the middle of the map. Item: Diamond/金剛石 Method: Probably the easiest treasures to get in the game. Just go towards where Zhang He is, defeat the general blocking the fort to Zhang He, and then beat Zhang He, just like that. Item spawns at the bottom right of the Stone Sentinel Maze. Item : Malachite/孔雀石 Method: Another fairly simple treasure. Just run up to Xiahou Dun and defeat him. Then go to Pang Tong and defeat him. Item report message will appear. Just go all the way down from the place where you enter the Maze from. Item should be there. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Wu4] Wu 4 - Osaka Castle Requirement: Rescue Sun Jian and the other 2 officers within 5 minutes. Item spawns in Cao Ren’s main camp. Item: Crystal/水晶 Method: You’ll definitely NEED a fast character for this. First quickly clear the first gate before Sakon stops talking XD. Then, go to the castle gate and clear the enemies there. Go up the stairs and clear the guard there to free Sun Jian. Escort him down and on the way, the castle’s doors will close and an ambush will follow up soon. Defeat the general who ambushes you. The doors will open soon after. Defeat the general who appears in the ambush just outside the castle. Once you do so, go to the other opening of Osaka Castle that you did not enter from (the one that shows a path going to the left and turning up on the map). Go to the second floor and wait while a conversation is going on. After Sun Jian is done talking, an ambush will appear, defeat the general there and you’ll free 1 of Sun Jian’s allies. As soon as the ally is freed, quickly go to the location of the last ally. Follow the black path in this image for the fastest route, and the person you must defeat is the one circled in white, which is Wen Pin (文聘) http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii173/Crimsondramon/MOZ%20Treasure%20Guide%20Locations/OsakaCastle.jpg Defeat the Chinese General standing at the door and ignore everyone else to cut down time. Do not go near the rest as they’ll start talking and chip off time you need to rescue the last guy. Once the gates are open, the item report will appear. Item spawns at the bottom right corner of the map. Item: Sapphire/青玉 Method: It’s not really hard if you have a fast killer on your team. Since Zhuge Liang is at the top of the mountain and Sima Yi is at the bottom, I would recommend if you go straight to defeating Zhuge Liang first. First of all, scale the mountain and defeat Zhuge Liang. Then just keep going down straight to Sima Yi and defeat him. Item report will come up soon after Dong Zhuo stops talking. Item spawns at the bottom right of the main castle next to the guard post. Item: Ruby/紅玉 Method: Another not so difficult treasure to get. First defeat the guy at the southern entrance to open the path to Edo Castle. (You could alternatively, go from the western entrance too) Then, keep moving until you reach a place with an officer guarding a door near the eastern entrance. If you check you map, you’ll see that behind the door would have 3 officers (2 Chinese and 1 snake officer) and Zhang Fei at the end of the path. Defeat the guy at the door and go straight to Zhang Fei. You can defeat the others along the path to make your battle easier later. When you defeat Zhang Fei, the doors to the main keep will open. Go enter the main keep. You can defeat anyone in your path to make your exit later easier as the castle will be set on fire. Follow the path to the second floor and defeat Guan Yu. As soon as the gate behind him opens, the item report will appear. (Around 3 minutes) Item spwans near the middle of the map, slightly to the left. Item: Amethyst/神行符 Method: This is another not so easy to get treasure, unless you have a fast horse and a fast destroyer. First, quickly run up and defeat the officer in the fort in front of you. The doors will open. Then, quickly defeat the other officer in the next fort. Once the doors open, quickly go towards the fort where the Suns are. Do this by going up the left stairs when you exit the second fort and follow the U shaped path and turning left when you see a fork. Defeat the 3 officers that are with Sun Jian and Sun Quan and a scene will play shortly after. Item report will follow after that. Item spawns near Himiko’s escapelocation. Item: Moonstone/定海珠 Method: First move forward, an ambush of 1 snake officer will appear, defeat him. The second ambush will appear when Da Ji is in the castle at the northeast consisting of 2 snake officers and 1 Dodomeki officer. Defeat them yet again. Follow Himiko’s path and the third ambush will appear, consisting of Kojiro first and then a snake officer and a sorcerer later. Defeat Kojiro to open the door which will trigger the other two to appear. Finally, once you defeat the sorcerer, the fourth ambush should trigger, consisting of 2 Dodomeki offcers and 1 snake officer. The item report should appear after that. Item spawns next to the Drum in the eastern fort. Item: Emerald/定風珠 Method: Go and raid the eastern fort and defeat everyone inside. Zhao Yun and Wei Yan will appear soon after. In that time while they’re arriving, clear everyone outside the base that leads to the main fort in the middle of the map. After the cutscene of Wei Yan and Hanzo, 2officers will spawn. Defeat them and all the peons around quickly to get Wei Yan into the middle fort faster. Once the fire attack scene plays, the item report message will appear shortly. Then, defeat Chen Gong within 3 minutes. Item spawns just outside Hu Lao Gate. Item: Pearl/白玉環 Method: Clear the four officers in the path in front of you before Xiahou Yuan starts moving to cut down time. Once Yuan reaches the base at the top, Kotaro will appear. Defeat him. By this time, the center would have already be filled with a lot of officers. For the fire attack to work, at least one must be alive so you can kill some of them to make Yuan’s path easier. Once the fire attack is successful, you must defeat Chen Gong quickly, although the Si Shui Gate is still closed. What you can do is to take the long way round (the one with 1 guard post at the bottom left of the map) and enter Si Shui quickly and defeat Chen Gong (陳宮). Item report will appear after you defeat him. Item spawns at the bottom left corner of the map. Item: Onyx/陰陽珠 Method: First run up and defeat Goemon (additionally, you can defeat the officers that stand around before him too). Once you beat him, after a while Xiao Qiao would start talking and will move to go and get Dong Zhuo out. Escort Xiao Qiao and defeat everyone in her path to get her to Dong Zhuo quickly. Dong Zhou would appear somewhere around the western most guard post. An ambush will appear near Zhou Yu during the time Xiao Qiao is going to Dong Zhuo so if he’s in any trouble, you must rescue him asap. The item report will appear once you encounter Dong Zhuo. DO NOT KILL HIM or you’ll miss the treasure. Item spawns near Zhuge Liang. Item: Garnet/吸魂砂 Method: Quite simple to get. Defeat the guard at the door to the fort. Once inside, defeat the two officers. After you defeat them, Zhuge Liang will start talking followed by Orochi. Once they stop, an engineer will spawn inside the fort. Defeat him and the western door will open. Once out defeat the officer waiting at the southern door of the western fort to open the door. Once inside, you can rush to Zhuge Liang and defeat him to trigger them item report message. Item spawns in the middle of the enemy camp. Item: Aventurine/混天綾 Method: First, defeat the enemies around Guan Yu and Wei Yan. Zhang Liao will arrive shortly after. When he does, sorcerers will appear in the west, middle and eastern part of the map. Defeat them. Sun Wukong will talk and clones will appear. Defeat any of the 3 Wukong clones and the gate to the enemy main camp will open. Defeat Sun Wukong then and the item report message will appear shortly after. Location: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii173/Crimsondramon/MOZ%20Treasure%20Guide%20Locations/Shu13Location.jpg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Wei11] Wei 11 - Shizugatake Requirement: Defeat all 5 juggernauts and convince Yuan Tan (袁譚) and Yuan Xi (袁熙) to defect. Item spawns in the middle of the center fort. Item: Carnelian/風火輪 Method: Take down the juggernauts first as they are easy to take out. You can kill the officers in the central fort but do not kill those in the western one or the plan will fail. After 4 minutes have passed, Xun You (荀攸) will start moving after Zhang He talks. Escort him to Yuan Tan (袁譚) and Tan will defect. After some time, Yuan Shao will talk to Jiang Wei and Jiang Wei will go towards Yuan Xi (袁熙). Defeat Jiang Wei before he reaches to Yuan Xi. Once you do that, Jiang Wei will talk to Yuan Xi and Yuan Xi will defect to your side. Item report will appear soon after. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Wu11] Wu 11 - Nan Zhong Requirement: Successfully carry out the two fire attacks and defeat Pang Tong while he is charging to your main camp. Item spawns near where Meng Huo reappears the second time. Item: Opal/勾玉 Method: Clear everyone you see towards Cao Ren. Then defeat Cao Ren and the officers around him. After the first fire attack succeeds, Meng Huo will appear in the eastern poison swamp and go towards the north with the guard posts. When he reaches the location, an ambush will appear. Get rid of them. After some time, he will disappear. When he does, Pang Tong will reappear with a few officers and charge to your main camp. Defeat him and the item report will show. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Shu11] Shu 11 - Nagashino Requirement: Call for reinforcements from Lu Xun. Item spawns near Diao Chan’s location. Item: Topaz/神氣環 Method: You are required to defeat two officers, but they do not appear at the start of the battle. The two in question are Cao Xing (曹性) and Hou Cheng (侯成). So in that time, you should go defeat some officers in the middle area to kill time. The two officers will appear at the small northern most fort. When the two do appear, they’ll be attacking a yellow guard captain. So quickly defeat them. Once done,charge towards Diao Chan and defeat her ASAP. The item report message should appear some time after defeating her. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [O4] Orochi 4 - He Fei Requirement: Defeat Zhang Liao and Gan Ning, and make sure the Engineer manages to break the bridge within 7 minutes. Item spawns in the middle of the map. Item: Phoenix Wing/朱雀翼 Method: Go north and defeat the 3 officers there. After a while, a scene of Gan Ning and Zhang Liao will play and a shitload of officers will spawn. They will charge towards you main camp. At the same time, Zhuge Liang will send an Engineer to go blow up the bridge. First go and defeat Gan Ning and Zhang Liao however you want and then defeat the other officers BUT leave one alive for the Engineer’s plan to succeed. Hao Zhao and Zhu Zhi will attack the Engineer so it’s best to defeat them too. After the Engineer reaches the bridge, he will stop for awhile, and continue on shortly after. Item report will appear usually before the bridge destruction scene is shown. Item spawns after Keiji’s defeat message appear, where the reinforcements arrive. Item: Dragon Spleen/青龍膽 Method: The cannon guy won’t appear at the start so just kill some officers in the meantime. When he does, he appears in the middle of the map. Defeat him. Not long after, 3 Gyuki officers will appear and you must defeat them to claim the cannons. She must speak at least once for the treasure to appear. Item spawn just outside the fort below Diao Chan’s starting postion. Item: Tiger’s Fang/白虎牙 Method: Play the stage as you normally would. Though I’d recommend you quickly defeat all the enemies on screen, to trigger the ambush faster. Once the ambush does appear (2 at the 2nd highest area of the map and 2 at the 2nd lowest area) defeat the top two first and then take the eastern route down to the bottom two. Lu Bu and Diao Chan will appear shortly. Go towards Diao Chan, LET HER SPEAK FIRST OR THE TREASURE WON’T APPEAR, and then defeat her. The item report message will appear after you defeat her. You must not have any of them in your team to get the treasure. Item spawns in the southwest corner of Bai Di Castle. Item: Chimera Shell/玄武甲 Method: Start by clearing everyone straight ahead of you, which would amount to 6 officers (5 infront and 1 at the left. Dong Zhuo should be one of them). It is entirely ok if your allies defeat the enemies as all you need to do is to get them into the base by around 20 minutes. Once you’re done with that, go into the Stone Sentinel Maze and clear everyone out (there should be 4 officers, Sun Wukong included). When you’re out, defeat the 2 snake officers and the path should be clear for Hideyoshi and the northern door to Bai Di Castle will be open. Go through and exit to the southern entrance by defeating the guard there. Once there, defeat the 2 snake officers outside. By this time, Nobunaga should be already making his way to the southern entrance. Go help him and defeat any officers in his path. Kotaro would probably be one of them. Once you’ve done that, you can help him defeat any peons in his path for a bit or go straight to Kenshin. When you are at Kenshin, he will probably have 2-4 officers in his path. Defeat them. He will be on his way to the eastern entrance so just go defeat everyone you see to make life easier for Kenshin. Once he is inside, the item report message will appear. Your team cannot include both Da Ji and Orochi, but having 1 or the other is fine. Once the sorcerers have cast their spells, defeat Ranmaru Mori, Nagayoshi Mori (森可成), Koroku Hachisuka (蜂須賀小六), and Morimasa Sakuma (佐久間盛政). Item spawns in the middle of the captured base. Item: Jeweled Branch/蓬菜の玉の枝 Method: The first of the hardest 5 treasures to get. Also do note that like every other escort mission, the sorcerers usually tend to attack random peons around them, and they do not have much health to begin with. So do keep close to them so that they don’t die. It’s ok if one dies, since all you need it 1 sorcerer to get the requirement done. It also helps if you defeat the guard captains to prevent the peons from respawning. Crowd clearers and Sun Wukong are recommended for this. After some time, an ambush will appear, clear them off ASAP to prevent the sorcerers from getting distracted. Clear the officers AND the peons. When you’re done, proceed forward and defeat the 2 officers there too. Once the doors to the fort where Mitsuhide resides opens, clear everything inside to make the path easier for the sorcerer(s). Don’t forget to protect the sorcerer(s) if they’re attacked! An officer might start attacking the sorcerer(s) while they’re still outside the base. As soon as the sorcerer(s) go into the guard post, the teleportation will begin and Ranmaru will talk for abit. Once the teleportation is done, go rush towards Ranmaru and his pals and defeat them. The item report message will appear soon after. Then open the main camp gates within 6 minutes of battle start, and defeat Da Ji and Himiko within 2 minutes of opening the gates. Item spawns near Shin Orochi. Item: Bowl of Buddha/仏の御石の鉢 Method: Probably one of the hardest of the 5 due to the time limit. YOU MUST have Sun Wukong or a really fast horse to complete the last requirement for this. As usual, a fast killer is highly recommended for this.Also, pausing during convos do save time. Okay so we begin by defeating the snake officer at the leftmost (Below Sima Yi), and then defeat Sima. After that, defeat everyone nearest to the gates before the sorcerers spawn. When they do, take them out. Do not let your allies defeat them or you’re screwed. Continue defeating officers while Masamune takes his time to arrive. He will appear in the 2nd from top eastern guard post. Once he does, defeat him and his cronies. As soon as that is done, Taigong will teleport to the gates. After the scene where the rocks fall, the Dodomekis will start panicking and open the gates shortly. I’d recommend going to the western most one to get to Himiko as she is nearer. Ignore the Dodomekis and go straight to Himiko and defeat her. Then, go along the path past the two Gyukis to the east end of the map and go up to Da Ji and defeat her. Item report will follow soon after. Also, defeat Himiko 1:40 after she appears. No allies must be defeated. Item spawns between the path to Himiko and Shin Orochi’s base. Item: Fire Rat’s Skin/火鼠の皮衣 Method: Recommended to have a fast destroyer or a Sun Wukong for this. This treasure is probably one of the hardest to get due to the requirements and the officers you need to kill. First and foremost, defeat the guy right infront of you. Then, go and defeat the two officers standing around outside Masamune’s base. Once inside, defeat Masamune and his buddy. Now, you see the 2nd straight path from the left in the map where there are a couple of officers in line? Defeat them all. There should be around 4 officers to kill. Then, go to the northwestern base and defeat the 2 officers there. Once you’re done with them, go towards Keiji and his snake friend and defeat them. Do not go any more east, but go back towards the west. Also, do not defeat anyone. After some time Cao Cao will talk, and some enemy units will flash on the map. Shin Orochi will also talk and they will flash. Go defeat them now. Now that they’ve been defeated, wait around until Shin Orochi talks. He’ll show an angry face and then many officers will appear on the map. Go straight to Himiko and defeat her to claim your treasure. The message will appear soon after she is defeated. Item spawns in the middle of the boat to the right of Shin Orochi’s boat. Item: Swallow’s Shell/燕の子安の貝 Method: Probably the easiest of the 5, but don’t let the fire cause your defeat! Do watch out for it all the time. Do note that capturing the altar and defeating the two has a time limit. Have to capture the altar within 2:00 after the bridges are set up and 3:00 once the bridge to the northern section of the map is set up. Ok start by watching that annoying after-1-second Da Ji scene, stand around and wait for the fire attack to happen. When the ambush does appear, defeat the first snake officer and then run up to the second above and defeat him too. Go back down to where you defeat the first as he is revived. Then go back up to the second one again and defeat him when he is revived. Shortly after, the boats will come and you can go to shore. Do that and defeat the guards there to stop the infinite reviving. Once you’ve done that, you can finish those snake guys who have revived once again once and for all. After that, go towards where Lu Bu is and defeat and officers left standing. Some time will pass before the bridges are restored. Go straight to Da Ji and finish her off. She will call for reinforcement in that time usually, and Keiji will be one of them. Defeat him and the item report message will appear shortly. You must capture the 3 cannons within 3 minutes of the battle start. First, go straight to the southern fort with the 3 officers. Defeat the guard captain to enter. Once inside, defeat the 3 officers and the guard captain to take over the first cannon. Take the path east and down towards the guy at the base, which is Katakura Kojyuurou (片倉小十郎). Defeat him and the base captain to claim your second cannon. Then, rush upwards and defeat Date Masamune and the guard captain for your final cannon. Now that you have the cannons, go around the path on the left and defeat the snake officer there to open to gates to Shin Orochi but don’t go anywhere near him. Go towards Da Ji on the left and defeat her. Now that Da Ji is history, go towards your main camp and wait for Keiji and his buddies to show up. Finish them! Item report message appear shortly after! A: I try my best to make it as accurate as possible wherever applicable. Some of the requirements have changed from Warriors Orochi 2 (and Warriors Orochi to an extent) and the exact requirements have yet to be found so I give a rough estimate on the requirements if so. Q: Do I have to play in Story Mode to get the treasures? A: You do not have to. You can get the treasures in Story OR Free Mode. Q: How do I know if I’ve unlocked the treasure? A: You’ll see a message on screen which is either Blue or Yellow with 貴重品 somewhere in the message. The word is in green color so it should be quite obvious. Q: Do I need to get all the treasures? I only really found one mistake and that was doing too much on Wei 7(cant exactly remember what it was though) but you will still get it easily if you follow what it says here.

There you can see which treasures you're still missing. However, the button input might be different since this game is in Japanese. I think X and Circle are switched, IIRC Also, from Rydain's FAQ: Quote: Q. How do I know what treasures I have? Within the Customize Weapon menu (•Ší—Z‡), select Upgrade Skills (the top option). The treasure should appear slightly off to the side of where Keiji appeared. Just give it another try. Do you have the PC version? I've heard there can be glitches with that version, though I wouldn't know from personal experience.

I'm starting to wonder if the PC version of the game actually have a different set of Treasure guide... If the announcement of your capture of the third cannon comes after the 3 minutes have passed, it won't count even if you've killed the guards/officers within the time limit. Also, you must wait until Keiji spoke his "defeat" quote before the treasure appears - which can be several minutes after his actual defeat if you've killed a large number of officers beforehand.
