I hate the fact that most Americans think that Spanish is the only language that rolls their R's.

@Honda - I played that chapter while really high the one time and they **** me up so bad. They're creepy enough sober, the way you suddenly hear them breathing then they appear from around the dark corner. Ugh, no.
:kurokan: Very well described :kurokan: I was prepared for them this time, but jfc I was NOT ready for them the first time I played the game :kurokan:

It's been a year or so since my CPU processor failed, and I had to order a new processor...in which my computer lost the ability to convert any video format to .wmv using Freemake.

Now that my computer has been upgraded to Win10, I can no longer drag and drop files onto my Freemake program; I have to "Open" the interface...

"Gringo."
The word is a pejorative, simply put; no if's, and's or but's about that. As a Mexican-American, I know full well the etymology of the word; it's a disparaging remark used by Mexican nationals when the U.S. occupied territory to the north "green, go home." What I hate, what I REALLY hate about this word is that Hispanic Americans think it's ok to use the word, and they will defend the right to use the word. I think, as Hispanic Americans, we need to stop lying to ourselves and see the word for what it really is.

Its kind of like how Cantonese people always call white people "gweilo" (ghost people) which has lost a bit of its sting over the years, but does remain an ethnic slur, to be technically correct. I never use it myself, just call white people "sai yahn" (western person), which is the most PC term for caucasians in Cantonese

I also LOATHE how some Cantonese people drop ethnic slurs in casual conversation without thinking. :kurokan: For the love of God, "gweilo" is bad enough, why do you have to "punch down" on the "A Chaas" (south asians, a slur signifying "dirty") the REALLY condescending and misogynistic "Bun Mui" (Pinoy little sister) or god forbid the "hak gwai" (black ghost person) which is always used in a racist context. :kurokan: Look, I make fun of SJWs in America all the time due to the American's overly-PC culture, but I really think China/HK can use a dose of "PC SJW" to be honest. Its all about a balance....

The thing about American Politically Correctness is that it's simply misguided and ill-informed and is a word thrown out because people hate the fact that they are being called out on being rude. Well, most of it anyways...
What is valid Political Correctness is the idea of cessation of the N word altogether. What is NOT Political Correctness is English-speakers attempting to abolish the Spanish word "negro" from the Spanish language (the literal Spanish word for black) because of racial implications. Ok, that was just a fake example pulled out of my ass...

I hate having to play beat the clock by waving my hands around exposed food from transportation to eating it before a winged arthropod decides to do a fly-by t-bagging of my food.

Hate is a really strong word, but since there isn't a dislike thread, I'll just post this in here I suppose :P

I really don't like when men stare at other women (and vice versa of course, but I haven't seen that happen as much, personally) when their wives/girlfriends are like right THERE. :kurokan: First of all though, if all parties involved (i.e, the person doing the looking, the significant other, and the person being looked at) don't mind it, then this dislike doesn't apply and I have nothing against it.

I'm mainly just talking about when I'm the one being looked at :o I've seen it a lot with a lot of men/women, and I'm not trying to toot my own horn here (they probably do it to a lot of women lol) but they do it to me a fair bit too (which is mainly how I noticed it), mostly in grocery stores and stuff :| I mean there's no rule against looking so as much as it might make me uncomfortable sometimes, I don't complain or do anything about it, but I think it's just disrespectful- three times in the past month I noticed a guy doing it, when his wife was literally right next to him >.< Of course there's a chance the women could just be their sisters, or friends or relatives, but I'm not so sure (they had little kids with them too) It just makes me feel guilty and bad for ladies, and trust me, I try to give them the benefit of doubt every time I see it, but sometimes it's obvious they're not just looking for the milk or bread or sugar or whatever and I can't just convince myself otherwise :XD

This may certainly happen the other way around too, which is just as disrespectful, but since I'm speaking from personal experience, I don't see it nearly as much as the former

I have a girlfriend and a kid, and I do it as well. I don't see the problem with that, is it a written rule that strictly forbids you to look at other women, even if you have someone yourself?

I get the look as well sometimes, and I appreciate it, it gives me the feeling I've still got my game on.

---

Recently, I've realised I hate two things:

- Internet memes, the **** on the internet produced by a bunch of socially awkward teenagers, ******* hate it. It's even more annoying when people copy those slurs. I've actually fired someone at my work because he couldn't shut the hell up, irritating his colleagues.

- Selfies. You're standing in line at the grocery store, but the couple before you needs to make a selfie. For what?

When you're at work and a colleague feels the urge to make a selfie and upload it to his Facebook. Dude, you're at work and you're shooting images of crucial data.

And I had to fire him as well.

Sorry, no, because that's regarding people with disabilities, and I don't have any (nor was I talking about looking at women who have them) so that has nothing to do with the scenario I was talking about :P If it's only disabled people you're referring to, then I don't know whether to agree or disagree if it's "polite" or not, that would be something you'll have to ask them :o

I'd answered your question before you'd even asked it :P

Also, I wasn't talking about you, or even women in general, I was talking about personally, as in, I don't like it myself  Notice how I said "I think" it's disrespectful, doesn't mean everyone does or has to. Many other girls/people dislike it too, and many might not.

Some people's significant others might not even mind that, and I'm well aware of that. Once again, I was only speaking from a personal perspective.

I can understand appreciating it if it makes you feel like people find you attractive, but personally that's not what it does for me. I also have never felt like I wanted that kind of reassurance from strangers, I'd rather they look at their own women instead of me :P

From a guy's perspective I've been with someone who hated guys looking at other women. The person in particular had many insecurities due to experiences with previous relationships, in which their man would engage in checking anyone and everyone that wasn't her out, and then would act on his arousal by forcing it on her. This included people he'd look at on the street as well as people he'd look at online.

So, for her, the process started with wayward eyes, and it led to other things, both involving her and even other people. It's a big deal to some people.

Learning how to adjust to the natural tendency to admire the beauty in this world (let's face it, there's lots of pretty people out there) wasn't some moral high ground for me, it was out of respect. Some women just don't like it.

And I'm not some Saint either, my own wayward eyes have caused me enough trouble over the years <_<

Also, disagree with tact, please. I know it's already been addressed, but there's no reason to get huffy when someone has a different opinion. Agree to disagree and move on. This topic itself invites negative thinking, there's no reason to pile it on further. Thanks :honda:
