Whenever I think 5 and 6 is kinda boring me I always play them to remind me that KOEI is actually capable of pulling these kind of games greatly The same way with SW2. When I think it's just so damn linear I'll play SW1.

Normally I stay with the most recent but DW4: Empires is still good. The CAW is pretty limited but with only 4 slots I managed to make some decently unique characters. Playing it will probably get me used to the lack of free mode and freely designing fictional scenarios in DW6:E though.

One summer a friend of mine bought a Super Nintendo and got a ROT3K (forget which one). Even though the game was old, it was still fun, we had 4 people playing. Good times.

As in Uncharted Waters New Horizons. http://www.unchartedwatersnewhorizons.com/ I think my first Koei game that I ever played is Romance of the Three Kingdoms 4 back when I first got into RPGs & strategy games with Final Fantasy 4, & Ultima VI. I still have the ROTK4 box, instruction manual, poster & the cartridge, but I unfortunately no longer have a snes to play it on. (It doesn't matter Rotk XI is way better anyway.) Out of the Warriors games the ones that I still play are DW4 with XL, DW4 Empires, DW5 XL, DW5 Empires, & SW2 Empires. Throw in Orochi Warriors 2 once that game gets old. As for Koei strat games on PS2 I'm always playing Nobunaga's Ambition Iron Triangle almost constantly. Prior to that I used to be hooked on ROTK X, & XI.

I just ordered DW2, DW3 and Kessen 3 so I'm going to be playing them when I get them. Got DW5 with the console as well and I suddenly remembered why I considered it to be one of the weakest in the series.

XD The voice acting and stiff gameplay really turn me off. It's more for nostalgia purposes because I remember playing them when they first came out.

It's good to go back and play with the characters and compare to how they are now in the games haha. Bearded Quan ftw again!
