Please tell me that is not true... Do you think is possible to make a request for the Japanese voices as DLC or something?

i doubt it.... i was a bit dissappointed about the music over the voice don't really care... no gundam music was just sad... but oh well.. |

If it was able to be done in Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, then chances are it's possible. Now the probable chance? No one really knows, but at the moment chances are slightly slim. Reason why I said slightly, is because they do mention the ability of DLC for the game, even in the manual, which also states that Download Mission selection does not show up UNTIL you have downloaded a mission, which aren't out just yet. |

Wasn't rise of a ninja already in japanese and english to begin with. I hardly believe they would ever make a patch just for japanese voices... if the game already had it then that's that... don't compare the dlc to some patch for japanese voices.. the dlc has already came about in japan and i don't think they are going to change them for NA release either. it's pretty much going to be the same exact missions but probably translated a bit different with culture issues. Like i said they took out some stuff which i felt they didn't have to but i guess they didn't want that much audio stuff that was in the japanese release such as the gundam music or japanese voice actors... oh well.. |

In rise of a ninja, they made it a free DLC, not a patch. Here's an article that covered it when it came out: http://www.gamersyde.com/news_5561_en.html Thing is, the way how the framework is on this gen's systems, it's possible for them to add stuff in into any game. If it was PS2 era still, I can understand, but now a days you can't really easily rule anything out. Now there is a difference between possible, and probable, which I stated about the probability of it earlier. Thing is that I've done localization before(had to within a short time), and the "hack" method we did was reference to the other set of voice/text data within an array if a player decided to change the language from English to Spanish(in reference to the project in this example). Oh man I just can't take things like "Burning" Gundam and English voices... I will have to import the Japanese version now :S.... The sad part is that I have wait like 5 months because I though the American version would be decent. |

Koei, Koei, Koei... They always do this to us don't they? Ah well, it won't bug me too much, but it is still annoying that they don't include a dual language option. I mean it's not like there isn't enough room on a Blu-Ray (for PS3 users such as myself) disc right? |

A lot of people is asking about the Japanese audio.. I think Koei Warriors should put some news in the front page or ask Koei directly why this happen this time? I mean on DW warriors is not a big deal not to have the Japanese voices but is Gundam is almost a MUST!. I know that is too late to changes things but at least they can tell us it was a copyright issue or something like that :(. |

I dunno if this was ever asked during the first game of why they took things out such as the japanese voices... or the music.... but if it was they are probably going to give the same exact answer..... As someone posted earlier about the Naruto situation may be just may be if you guys complaint enough about wanting japanese voices they will make some form of dlc to have them in game.. if that would be the case it be a win win to all fans english and a like that wish to hear the japanese voices and what nots.... may be then we can also argue about the Gundam BGM music taken out too..... just start witha petition or something or may be there already is one.

haha good point wodash... that would be an interesting petition for all the people wanting deathsycthe or Setsuna as pilot..... or Gundam 00... but the reason i bring up this voice thing is someone has mentioned when people complaint enough for that naruto game they did end up doing it.... so who knows.... if it happens its a win for everyone i guess.... its not like it will hurt having it... any ways i'm all for free stuff so i wouldn't complaint what they would add into the game for free...

I popped the disc in and bee-lined for the options to get it Japanese and subtitled only to find there wasn't the option. Shame. I doubt it'll go up in DLC, but it's still been good fun so far. |

The subtitles are so small anyway it's probably a good thing it's in English voices. My eyes hurt trying to read such small text on the sort of backgrounds it's against on this. |

This was the only thing I was disapointed with DWG2, I can't help but feel they ruined Kira with a surfer-ish-dude voice over & his quote with the "start kicking butt" thing made seem really out of character. |

Well, a friend is in Hong Kong right now and after know about the lack of Japanese voices on the US version and asked him to buy the Japanese version and after 3 days of search he finally got it for PS3! He told me that it was very hard to find a PS3 copy of the game and even on an anime event in the KOEI stand they only had the 360 version so I guess I was very lucky. |

It make sense to me, if you wanna jap voice, get Gundam Musou 2, if you wanna english voice, get Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, that's all. I'm from Mexico by the way, so....i do not know what is the big deal in here??? All the translation of missions and skills and attachments, and the others is done. So its the same if you have the jap version or the english version. All is in here. |

oh kakuseisha people have this huge thing about japanese voices over english voices. they made some changes in the game for the NA release... they took out all the gundam series Music. and they also either fast forward on the movies or cut them a bit.. since they seem to look shorter for the endings in the official mode. as for the cut scenes they are all still the same. |

I wish it had that option like in the first one... I was even considering getting this game too because I needed a warriors game to pass by the time....... ugh english voices. I don't think KOEI's going to put it up for DLC nor consider it but i'd just hope... |

i dont get it really. i cant speak a lick of japanese. i'd naturally prefer english anyway.but thats just me. if anything, what annoys me is the lack of actual show footage in the cutscenes. its just piss-poor c.g. vids- ps2 style. |

I don't really mind not having the japanese option to be honest, most of the VAs are great or good at the least(still miss Mark Gatha as Domon but being a doctor prolly pays more and he gets to do more good that way so you can;t hold it against him heh) They so need to add 00 and more Wing characters in the next one, that way Brad Swaile can voice Amuro Quatre and Setsuna all in the same game.
