I'm sure some people heard of this already, but some maybe have not. April 29th is a national holiday in Holland, Koninginnedag (translated: queensday). This Koninginnedag, the Royal Members would drive around in a tour bus, waving at people while riding towards the Royal House. There was heavy security. But there also was a man in a car who managed to get to the security guards of the fences which kept the civilians away from the tour bus. So the man was around ten meters away or so (I think) from the tour bus. The guards just send him away. Then, the man tried with full speed to ram through the fences, and made an assault-attempt on the tour bus. While the man was driving through the civilians, you saw people fly through the air. The man lost this course however and rammed a statue, almost crushing a police officer. That same police officer rushed through the man in the car. The man quickly said he wanted to kill the Royal Members, before passing out. 5 (or 4*) people were killed, and many were wounded*, including the man himself. In the hospital there also died a few wounded people*, including the man himself. The man would have been braindead and now he cannot be justified for his deeds. The man was a shy 38 year old who didn't come out much and didn't make much contact with others. Ironic, eh? I don't care much for the Royal Members, actually nothing at all. But I feel bad for the people who were killed or wounded. After the scene, queen Beatrix gave a speech. Bah. That makes it all better? * I was on vacation to Mallorca, and we only had one Dutch tv channel, so I was not able to hear much from it and I don't remember it all.
