Since Gundam is a war series at best, death is always gonna be a focal point no matter which series. So which moments of death in any series do you believe to be the most tragic death. For me (And this is only from playing the levels in DWG2), the entirity of Char's Counterattack is just one big moment. |

I would have to say the Zeta Series had the most emotional deaths. But if I had to pick one it would be Four's death at Kilamanjaro. It lead to Char finally stepping up and Kamille growing up. |

Id like to say Mwu La Flaga but...... But really SEED (not even really Destiny) had the saddest deaths for me. I didnt even like Flay but I still felt bad for her. Outside of SEED the only other series that had a sad death for me was 00. Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, Lockon....  But every other series, I didnt really feel like I had an emotional tie to any of the characters. They just have that same impact on me. |

well,nearly all of the gundam animes cloned a bit from the original,so its a bit normal if you don't see anything tragic in most of the character deaths since you might have seen that scene before i.e stellar's death is like a carbon copy of four's death in zeta,if you see one you would less likely feel any impact if you see the other which is i agree with lockon's death as one of the most awesome death in the anime,since main characters doesnt usually die,in the middle of the series even but after a while it became lame really fast since lyle came out from the bush and became the "spare" lockon,its like watching the cait sith scene from FFVII (*sob* he died,look he's there again!),although it's not the same i think the show would be more awesome if they stay lockon~less |

well,emma's death is quite tragic,but it only serves to make kamille get even angrier,at that time(the gryps final battle) there were so much consecutive deaths you wouldnt care less who dies except if it was kamille,char,or amuro.... four's death was the only death in the kilimanjaro arc so that's pretty noticeable |

Lockon Stratos from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (season 1) tore me apart. >.< --Spoilers?-- Considering how Ali-Al Sarshes PRACTICALLY (with his guerilla rebellion) killed his mom, dad, and sister and he sacrifices his life in an attempt to kill him. The first that comes to mind with me is Anew, she wasn't a bad guy, she was another Innovator with a hope for humanity, and even though she got dead, she still helped Lockon not kill Ali for revenge which is a good thing right? Mashymre is also another that comes to mind, he was such a cool character, he fought to the death for Haman because of his feelings towards her, but he was nothing to her. If he had his Hamma-Hamma instead of that rubbish Zaku III Custom, he could of survived by being cool. |

mashymere was a fool,just like shinn,the only difference is he is more likeable since he does not share the angstyness and is more noble.........plus he's funny in the early episodes....(but then again,everyone was funny in the early episodes of ZZ>.<)

Yeah, it's just you finally get to see how much he's dedicated to Haman, by his Newtype powers that even gives Puru Two a run for her money in her Quin Mantha. Him being a fool made his death all the more tragic. |

all of the deaths in the metaseries to me were not that tragic, some necessary, but not tragic... that is except for lockon, i wish he was in season 2 instead of his bro |

In my opinion, very few deaths in Gundam were well done, but the ones that were definitely left a lasting impression. Emma's death is Zeta is one of the first to come to my mind, simply because of the impact she had on Kamille, and being one of the few members of the crew close enough to him to be his surrogate family. Bernie's death in 0080 should probably speak for itself for those who have seen it. Hayato's death in ZZ was also pretty shocking given the tone of the series. For those who have seen Victory Gundam, you'd know that the series itself is saturated in tragic death scenes. Nearly all of the Shrike Team members died heroically, of particular mention the one that held up the Mass Driver by sacrificing her life. However, the one death scene that really hit me hard was Odelo. Having made it to the very last episode and developed quite a bit throughout the series, it was depressing to see that even he couldn't evade the inevitable. Finally, I have to say that both the deaths of Kyoji and Master Asia were quite touching, if only for the fact that in the end, it was Domon himself who had to finish them off. Edit: I suppose I should add Sergei's death in as well, since he was undoubtedly the most well developed and likeable character from 00.While Lockon's death was also handled well, having an identical twin really lessened the impact. At least, that's how I see it. I'd like to give a shoutout to Mwu's death in SEED as well. If it weren't for his miraculous survival in Destiny, it would definitely have been one of the greatest sacrificial death scenes in Gundam. As it stands, it's just gimmicky... Ryu in mobile suit gundam.....he was the original sacrificial death This next one isnt tragic but it shocked me, Heine's death in destiny took me by surprise.....he had a big build being introduced as a faithe member and all. Thought he would have died near the end of the series. He was gone after 2 or 3 appearances |

I say it was Four's death at Kilimanjaro. It deeply affected Kamille and it was like what happened with Lalah Sune. History just repeated itself. |

I actually found Apolly's and Roberto's deaths sad in Zeta, but i reckon it was silly how nobody mourned Roberto's but when Batch who comes in for like 1 episode dies and everybody yells out no NOT BATCH NOOOOOO!!! then when Roberto dies its like: Oh.. Well he wasnt doing much anyway, get on with life. |
