Are there any other poeple out there who are having trouble with this particular stage? I would either get to the top of the tower where there are 4 officers (including Yuan Shao) where I would die (final death) within about 1 minute of getting into the room, or I would quit in the middle of the stage. I tried this stage with both Ling Tong (Level 50), and Zhao Yun (Level 42), and even when I have those two maxed, I still am unable to achieve victory on this stage. Any help would be appreciated. I would hope that there'd be someone out there kind enough to do a run through of the stage to show what is needed to happen and it would give those having trouble a frame of reference. |

I have done this with Ling Tong at level 40(beated it by lvl 42). What Chi or equips are you using? If you are going by Invert+ your equipment shuld be a lot of Elixirs and Fury Pills. That way you can last against the spinning blades. Patience is a virtue, just do the right to left+triangle move occasionally when there in non flinch mode. And you should have no problem. The only thing u need to watch for is your musou bar. Weapon was the 3 star Sanjiegun with a Arbor++ and Tempo Orb+ Items:Meatbun++,Zen Elixir,Zen Elixir+,Zen Elixir++ and Fury Pill Chis: Fury Armor,Invert+,Rush+,Spring+ |

I cleared Zenith's Tower just a moment ago. Zhang Fei lvl 42 Main: Viper Spear - PWR with Arbor ++ Sub: Noble Staff - PWR with Arbor ++ Chi: Dash ++, Spring +, Focus +, Fury Amor Items: Meatbun, Meatbun +, Meatbun ++, Elixir, Elixir + I didin't have any problem with defeating generals. Staff with Arbor ++ is enough to deal with them... but those cursed Spinning Blades. I can't stand them. Without a doubt they're the most annoying enemy units you face in this game >_>. |

Use a tech wep against spinning blades, preferably a cane. Works like a charm .As for Chi: Invert Focus Fury Armor Fill up ur inventory with Fury Pills and all kinds of Elixir. Just go Fury and try to maintain it. Also while ur at it, equip the Luck Orb. He Jin drops the Earth Gift, a rare material used to make the best Chi skills in the game, like Immortal |

Just now played this level and died.. -.- However the first part wasnt so bad, it's just the damn Spinning Blades that makes me and the 4 officiers at the last part. (please tell me they don't re-appear again in their fury forms...please)On a side note does anyone know how to get Meteor Lump? I need it for Invert + |

LOL. The truth is this a hard level. But it's easy with a "Technique" I learned with Zhou Yu. Maybe with others can do the same... My equip: Level Maybe was 40-45. Chi Focus, Restore, Spring +, Rush + (yeah, that's a noobish Chi equip) Weapons Scarlet Dawn (Staff) "Stnd" with Arbor Orb ++ Titan's Might (Sword) "Stnd" with Arbor Orb ++ again xD Since the Staff works very well with machinery and humans, and Sword does a great deal with humans and Spinning Blades, nothing can stop you. The technique I use with officers or even merely cannon fodder, is that: I do the "Kames" that does Zhou Yu (5 seeker balls of energy), then, if a Officer is poisoned, I run like a b*** over the scenery. Finally, when the Officer have 1 kick of life (even morphed or not), I end him how I can (dash him, kick him, poke him, whatever ). For the Spinning Blades, I do the Combo with the Sword in air. Only you have to wait until it does the spinning attack, then, you have a little time to destroy it. Good luck. See ya! |

Well I use my bow against the Spinning Blades and surprisingly they work quite good at it... I almost did it by bow spamming with Zhen Ji but I just keep taking too much damage...Grr. EDIT: Just did it again and managed to finish that level, got earth gift and dragon soul y on my second turn. Edited by TheBritishTeapot, Mon May 25, 2009 10:20 pm.

I didn't really have a problem with the stage (not when I had some of the chis that I wanted to use), and I defeated the stage within 15 minutes of starting it, first time, and I didn't die once. Then I received Yuan Shao after that. |

This stage doesn't give me a headache anymore, thank god >_>. I just equip Sun Jian with Fury Armor, Invert ++, Mechastrike + and Serendipity/Aero +. When I enter fury mode, spinning blades go down in two hits and officers die almost instantly as well (Jian's T attack on ground is devastating). Too bad, though, that obtaining Dragon soul (y) is still hard for me. Yuan Shao has dropped it only two times so far and on my 2nd time I didn't even have Serendipity equipped. |

Ditto on that. Once you figure out that you only have to kill the spinning blades to open the doors, the stage isn't that hard afterall. Just make sure you grab Sun Quan's Legend or you'll find yourself doing the whole level again just to get it. Also LoW's fury items are the best combinations in the game at this point even in the duels which made them extremely easier to overocome. |

For me, I usually use Invert+, Fury Armor, Control++, and Immortal, At least that's what I used to do to defeat all of the duels I have so far. I find that that is also a very easy combination of chi to use in the game. Then again, it's all up to individual tastes. |

Heh, now I see why so many people struggle with this stage ... cursed Spinning Blades I cleared it on the 1st playthrough with the following: Ling Tong (Level 47-48) - Hurricane w/ Power Orb++ - Dragon Fang w/ Power Orb++ Chi - Focus+ - Control+ - Fury Armor - Aero+ The Spear + Aero combination works better on the Spinning Blades than the Staff and both weapons balance each other out with the other enemies. |

Fury Armor is really the only thing you need to get through those blasted Spinning Blades. The reason why they are annoying in the first place is that they always seem to attack when you're in the air and as we all know, you can't block in air >_>. |

You should try the "I like to be immortal, and I earned the right to use this f***ing strategy after suffering all playthrough long" ki setup. Immortal, Fury Armor, Control ++, Last Stand +. With loads of elixirs, that rocks. |

Who needs Elixirs, when you have Fury Pills and Flute and Storm Gloves. Besides your set carries Control++, honestly theres more with the set you can do. Even though i beat the game without Immortal on my US save. |
