<rant start> Even though it's very essential to shoot down aces in the game for more points like in the past, the whole friendship deal is really ticking me off. Until I get the quizzes, I'm pretty much stuck doing all those friendship missions, which, despite their name, seem to have no improvement on my friendships whatsvoer. Whats more I've gotten to the point where I have to play the missions to unlock Musha Gundam, yet almost everyone I'm required to have a friendship with is either not in the friend zone or in the caution-contempt zone. So how exactly am I supposed to raise friendship levels using ineffective friendship missions besides the yet-to-be-unlocked quizzes? <rant end> Sigh... seriously, any good tips to raise friendship without the quizzes? Playing as Heero, I've played the 20,000 level already, yet I've only played 25 missions. And except for all those offers to join factions I've pretty much run out of things to do. Yet, to join factions I'd have bad relationships with certain characters. |

If you have the highest level of friendship with at least 40 charcters, you can do a mission to massively boost the friendship of all the pilots, only thing is, actually getting 40 people to that level, and that the mission is of the highest difficulty(have to do on hard, full up difficulty). just keep on doing the friendship missions, just those first few, just untill you manage to unlock the quizzes, and then you can just do those untill you have the 40 people into the friendship zone, and then do that mission that I was talking about, but for that, have someone really levelled up, with a really strong MS, I used Scirocco Lv40+ and The O, with all parts with Melee, Shot, and Defence at least 90-95+ |

Wait, there's a mission like that? Oh crap. But even then I heard that only the expert quiz is the one that really raises friendship fast. The regular doesn't. Exactly how many times would I have to play these friendship missions. Three missions in, and Char is still in the contempt area. What, during the mission do I have to be by their side all the time as well? |

Uhh...one good thing is to wait untill they're in trouble, and then save them, that always seems to work...but if you do that first quiz quite a lot of times...it might be tedious...but it does seem to work

You could also finish all the Soldier's Battlefield Stages which also offer a boost in friendship at the end... do you have Worthy Opponent equipped as that helps in preventing a decrease in friendship... |

well,i maxed mine the first time with the normal quiz and its still pretty fast(since i only manage to produce a handwriten copy of all the normal answers in JP version and that the normal quiz is faster to unlock) but after you got the 20000 commemoration then yeah,expert is the fastest oh and the reason for playing friendship missions are to join factions,upon selecting those you'll get significant boost of relationship with them,and will get another one after finishing all of it,that and you'll get to unlock stuffs too along the way....playing the friendship mission over and over again will get you nowhere.... Yup, GLP, Oblivion and wodash said it all! I guess all I can do is sum up and put it in one post!  - Use Worthy Opponent and Charisma skills! - Join factions (that will unlock more freindship missions for specific characters) - Play the Power of Bonds mission (!? I think that's the name) |

Well, playing as Heero, I do indeed have Worthy Opponent. I don't know how to get Charisma though. But wait, if I do faction missions, I may have friendship with a certain group of characters, but won't that mean another group of characters friendship go down in the process? |

The thing with joining factions, is that once you finish it...the main characters of that faction you gain that friendship with them, and from what ive seen, it doesnt really go down all that easily...and yeah...im pretty sure thats the name of that mission I was talking about. Here's a few hints for completing that mission, and what to expect: Spoiler: click to toggle And once you do that, you're done, and once you read the message in the terminal, and that should boost everyones friendship. |

Ah I see. Ok then. Right now I really only need the friendships for lisences and Musha Gundam. But once I join a faction, I will get offers to join the others again right? |

Once you quite from a faction, you will get the messages asking to join the other factions...so I guess if you join absolutely every faction, by the end of it...pretty much all of them should be at top friendship

Charisma Worthy Opponent Fortune Plain and simple. . . Whence youve got your silly little friend trophy and all that related garbage, lose Charisma. . . And, by the way, depending on what character you use, it may be more difficult to get people into friendship People like Roux easily make friends People like Scirocco have certain people that start high and are easier to get higher, but also have people that start at contempt, and take close to 6 missions to get up a single Relation Sect. . . Then there are people like Yazan, who everyone in-game hates xP Which makes things massively difficult to deal with *shrug* Silly little things like that Ya. . .people like Herro Yuy dont have many friends. . . Zechs Relena Jerid & Master Asia. . . Those are your specified friends, if Im not mistaken Edited by Paptimus Scirocco, May 19 2009, 03:03 AM.

So I manged to clear The Power of Bonds. And it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. For starters, the Mobile Armors were a breeze. Psycho was easy to take as long as you know the pattern, and the key to beating Alpha Azieru was destroying the funnels it shoots off with your SP attack. As soon as those are gone, it's a breeze. The rest of the stage was not easy though, especially fighting against aces. I went up against Lacus in Infinite Justice, and Kai, Hayato and Sleggar in Guncannons. So checking my relations list now, pretty much everyone is on friendship, except Kamille, Emma, Katejinna, Char and Hayato. It's pretty annoying, I got all the Remember the Past Missions selectable except the first one all because Char still thinks I'm a douche. Though doing the first quiz over and over again did improve them somewhat. Unfortunately now I don't think I'd be able to unlock Sarah (because Recooa is at friendship as well), and Quess (Because I became a newtype too soon). |

Sarah's not completely lost to you, yet. Just try with another character. Of all people, I actually unlocked her with Athrun, since his Story missions revolve around aiding Scirocco and the Titans. Just wander around chewing scenery until Sarah gets in trouble, and then make a red blur to help her. If at any time Reccoa's relation level increases, just restart the mission and stay as far away from her as possible. Sarah won't be Scirocco's pet for long if you keep this up  Athrun's an Oldtype too, so if you're careful about selecting free missions with Quess as an ally, she'll eventually send you her e-mail. Complete Nanai's Cyber-Newtype mission first, and then finish up Amuro's. It took me a while, but I even unlocked Yazan with Athrun. Sometimes the requirements are a pain in the tailpipe, but this game does reward tenacity. Hope this helps, man. Now, I have to find a character that the Zeon don't want to kill on sight to unlock Dozle, Ramba, and M'Quve... blargh.

Hmmm... I never thought about doing it with Athrun. Thanks for the tip. Yazan, Dozle, Ramba, and McQuve were already easily unlocked. Kai and Hayato were unlocked as well, all with Heero. But still, restarting missions based on chance is not something I look forward too. Of all people, Sarah's probably the hardest to unlock IMO. |

I actually found Sarah to be one of the easier pilots to unlock, one of the more annoying ones for me to unlock would have to be Quess, and also I guess Rosamia, mainly because Kamille has never been one for me to keep good relations with Although now I am bloody happy, because now I have finally unlocked all the playable characters, and got the achievement for that also, and now I can just focus on getting the other achievements

Really? How did you unlock her so easily? In my situation, had I not converted to a newtype so soon, I definitely would have unlocked Quess; almost everyone was already in friendship. Rosamia was unlocked pretty easily as well. |

I think I unlocked Sarah using Seabook...and well, if you do enough missions where you are up against Reccoa, and then do those missions for Scirocco, its pretty easy to get those friendship status' to the spots you need them, of course you need to have a few levels allied to Sarah to get it though, but other than that it is really quite easy...well, it was for me at least

You mentioned that some characters just seem to draw an intrinsic hatred. Would Milliardo be one of those? I can't seem to get Amuro Ray; granted, I've shot him down at least 10 times and I prefer offensive skills over "worthy opponent", but I've done the same to Char and I've already gotten him high enough to unlock all his license missions. Quess was the same way (she was constantly showing up as an enemy), but inexplicably I must have done something she liked because she shot up to 'trusted' and I somehow unlocked her. I wouldn't normally mind, there's only a handful of pilots and mechs left to unlock but I need to get Amuro and the Nu gundam so I can finish those 7 'gundam legend' or whatever missions that lead to unlocking level 4 parts for everything. Both quizzes seemed to have negligible effect (though if the expert quiz does anything, I might try spamming that again), and one of the problems of trying to progress and unlock other things is that I keep getting Amuro as a random enemy (or, more to the point, he'll never show up as an ally). I've unlocked almost all the little 'campaigns' that they stuck under 'Friendship Missions', but found none with him. Besides the mission to become a newtype (which is Free Mission, I think, not sure what effect that has on friendship) I don't know of any to force him to appear. |

OK. So I'm starting with Athrun now to get Sarah. Is there like a specific layout and missions to do in order to get Sarah? Perusing the gamefaqs boards, it turns out that Emma is another good character with to unlock Sarah, because Reccoa is already in a bad relationship with Emma. lol ahhh the friendship system, i indeed am use'n Roux for that(pluss i find her to be enjoyible) got her charisma & worthy opponent, i did notice though she agitates the females more then the guys lol Speaking of, ran into a snag with Haman, i managed to patch things up with her & joined Axis, buuuuuuuuuut to unlock glemmy i had to join him and suffice it to say what happens next made haman my 2nd only contempt(rosamia being the other) which wouldn't be a pain but hers & kamile's(i think?) remembering the past mission is the only one i'm missing >__< i'm only missing the licencses for the two musha gundam ; ; |

Which is why you should not make Glemy defect until you've cleared the Remember the Past Mission and the Quebely lisence mission. Even if you join Axis, there's no obligation to make Glemy defect because you'll get the mission again eventually even after you quit Axis. |

there is a mission for getting both musha and musha MK2 license stright, is by playing the downloaded mission "THE SOUL WON COME OUT" u will need a crowd clearing one for that stage and it is a pain, best recomanded with 2 players playing stage review: u enter a stage with no enermies, as u walk around enermy comes out, u need to defeat 100 enermies to get one ace out and there is time limit of 3 mins to do it, defeating 100 enermies increase the time and there is 10 ace to defeat, last 2 being musha and musha MK2 how to play: i don hav much idea since i failed to clear it, bt after i found out hw this stage works i think the best way is to use turn A to clear field and play on easy, getting 1000 kills first is probaly the main thing u hav to do and finaly getting rid of all those ace Ms, if play on 2 players, KO counts are shared, so use 2 turn As should help i also hate friendship stuffs, it seems forever to jus get quess to friendship level with my katejina also |
