I can not speak english well. You attacking me. Here is my answer: I write only my opinions about the game "Warriors Legends of Troy". And you attacking me. Why? Why you do not write your opinions about the game? Why you attacking me? And you write also= "There is nothing on the site except for the trailer that you've seen before." This is not true! After watching the Trailer on the Site, if you click anywhere on the background, then the screen squirts (spurts) and sprays blood. This proves it, this is a proof, that the game "Warriors Legends of Troy" is a "M" Rated game. Because of that, therefore, I am very happy and therefore I have written "This is very very very good good good"..etc... and therefore I have written= "I am very very happy. I LOVE YOU KOEI.."..etc... My comments are not stupid. Your comments are stupid. You can not understand! You have no idea. And you have no opinions about games. You can only attack the others! Its quite hard to take a guy serious when he double posts constintely, repeats himself every chance he gets, and says "very very" as many times as he can without giving himself an aneurysm. You either just make people mad or in my case, I cant help but lolz every time I read something of yours. Make your point simple and leave it at that. And it certainly doesnt help for you to say you cant speak english well at the begining of every post. This is getting GROSSLY off topic. Andreas, if you have personal problem with a moderator, please take the time to send them a PM so that you are not derailing discussions. If you have problem with this staff in general, please post in the Support & Feedback section of the forum. The rest of you. LAY OFF Andreas. Let him say what he wants to say about the game as long as it's not spam or double posting (though people often make this mistake when quoting others). The Staff are not showing favoritism here. Osiris and the others attacking you have been verbally warned by Miho. If they continue to cause problems, then an actual warning (percentage increase) MAY be instated. There is no reason for this topic to be verging off in such a direction. Simply talk about the upcoming title and leave it AT THAT. Any further discussion that is NOT related to the subject of this topic/thread will be taken into consideration of issuing a warning. Thank you. --- @Miho: You're not looking forward to this title? Ok Andreas-andi, as Miho already said what Osiris said about you wasn't right and your response such as above were expected. So this has to stop otherwise it will go on and on, what worse is the moderator team can close this topic if it's out of control. Btw, only the mod team and the individuals who were given a warning themselves can see their warning level so how do you know for sure Osiris hasn't been warned! And Osiris you need to leave Andreas-andi alone because what you said earlier could warrant you a warning as it's a spam and a direct attack on other member! As for Andreas-andi the moderators can deal with him if he continues breaking the rules such as doubt or triple posting! Use the  if you want to add something to your previous post!Edit: yeah, what Manji said!

If you not speak with me, then that's your problem. That does not interest me. But, you can only speak for yourself. And not for the other users here. You can not speak for the other users. I'm not particularly up-to-date on the females from this particular time. The only ones I know of are Helen and Odysseus' wife(who honestly would be completely unrelated to the Trojan War.) |

Yeah, it wasn't sarcasm (that is probably the word, not ironic) and it was positive towards you. -------------------------------------------- @Miho: I don't think there will be any girls and I think even less for feminine guys. I believe KOEI is actually working towards realism with the blood thing, and armor and younger guys with beards. I myself hope there aren't any girls or feminine guys in this game, would like it much more though. I didn't like Zhang He very much and I don't think the real Zhang He would like to be portrayed like that . Maybe girls can be seen in cutscenes or something though.

I am absolutely excited that Koei is finally branching out of asia and making a game based on the Greeks. There is so much potential for this game. Even though gore is not important to me, I have been waiting for Koei to make a more mature game. Lets just hope that they learn there lesson from their recently released games, DW6 in particular and actually have good graphics, well DEVELOPED characters, and perhaps a UNIQUE fighting system. One can hope and dream. Edit: Having a smaller cast of characters would be a good step for Koei. This could allow them to focus more on COMBAT and STORY which their recent games have really lacked in detail. Of course, what would a Troy game be without Ajax? lol. /end edit Unfortunatly, much like Seraphil, I also do not know much about female characters that could be possibilities. Perhaps they might include Gods as characters? In Homer's writing the Gods often interfer in battle and that could open up a lot of possibilities. Of course it has been a while since I read the book and all I can really remember of God involvment was Apollo and Ares? I dont have my copy of the Illiad here so if anyone can comment on that, that would be helpful. Hopefully we will get some more information soon so that I can drool over whatever it is they release and then speculate about it lol.

Hmm, my name's been mentioned a bit too much here. As for female characters, obviously everyone knows of Helen (the reason the war was started), she'll probably get epic Diao Chan DW6 treatment. There's also Briseis, a Trojan woman who was captured by Achilles' men who he then fell in love with. In the film she's portrayed as Hector and Paris' cousin to give her more significance, she may get the same treatment in the games. Of course, none of these women fought in the war but the same can be said for the vast majority of the playable girls in the DW and SW series. I very much doubt KoeiC will make this game a sausage-fest. From what I remember reading the interviews from the developers they're adding in the gods and other characters from other greek tales to spice things up a bit. I'm not sure whether that will be as playable characters who are involved with the story or just bonus characters who act as CAWs (which may be a better way to include them imo) but there'll definitely be some more girls in the game. |

I completely forgot about the girl who was captured and Achilles fell in love with. Nice. Yeah so Helen and the Brisis (sp?) are a couple of options. Good thinking Osiris. The fact that these women did not fight is irrelevent considering Koei's past uses of female protagonists. Ex: Diao Chan Zhen Ji ect....

I don't think they will have many female characters. Probably only one from what I see. I predict this game's roster won't be any where close to a DW game. Probably just the 4 mentioned and some bonus characters and unlockables. |

Ooooh, this game sounds intriguing! But I'm not going to get fooled by a flashy trailer  I'm expecting a lot from the gameplay (kinda getting sick of SQUARE SQUARE TRIANGLE!!!); I hope that KOEI Canada makes it more intricate and doesn't just beef it up with useless special features (Art Galleries, cough cough). Not that I don't enjoy those, but it's kinda like getting a small scoop of ice cream with a lot of whip cream on top  It'd be cool playing as Athena, if they decide to get the Gods involved >=D |

So what? SW3 was announced almost a year ago and we havent had info untill now. It often happens. To announce a game before much of any development is done on the game, and then news will pop up just a few months before release, when they have basically finished the game. |

When I saw this topic I got a bit excited for this game. Having taken 4 years of Latin back in High School I loved some of the legends and stories we got to translate so a warriors game based on some of those is something I'd look forward to. Unfortunately I can't get their site to cooperate. X) It gets to loading 100% and... nothing happens. :3 Am I correct to understand that the popular belief is that for a game to sell well in NA, it has to be gory? Honestly, nothing would make me leave this game on the shelf faster. If this is going to be a grossly bloody game, so much so that it would require an M rating, I'd rather not, all the same. Plus its quite insulting if that really is what they think Americans want. SE did the same thing in an interview I saw, thinking Americans preferred the blood and guts crap. Well, not all of us. Who the heck gets in their focus groups, anyways that gives them these kind of ideas? And its not just the niche crowd that the Three Kingdoms era has that causes DW games to get the harsh reception. Rather that most of the DW games have a rushed, half-done quality to them. Especially their first next gen one. The same thing will happen to this one if they rush it out. That, and people are basically force-fed GameInformer if they shop at GameStop, and they never give the Koei games good reviews, judging them with extreme bias IMO. Anyway, if there's an option to tone down or turn off the "marketing" gore, I'll probably get this. Interacting with items on the ground sounds promising. Lets hope that's not the only 'new thing' or it will end up like zomg we can swim nao and climb ladders 8D that DW 6 had. Heh. And hopefully the characters will do it with flair and style unique to themselves. (everybody in DW 6 climbs the ladders the same way, and swims like a gimp tadpole. There should be a mix of tadpoles, dog paddlers and olympic swimmers!) Next gen systems should be capable of a sizable roster and an in depth story, if Koei bothered to develop it that way. Must we be limited to a single disc? I don't see why the game can't have both a large roster and in depth, lengthy stories. I think most of us just don't expect something that epic from Koei, and are therefore setting our expectations low. As for the females, you could also consider Creusa, wife of Aeneas, daughter of Priam. She was killed while trying to escape Troy during the war IIRC. So she was there, and sorta participated, even if it was running and getting killed? Heh. So my message for K/T on this game would be: - Take your time. - Gore does not = Drama. - DLC is not just for costumes and music - Beta Testers are good for business /walloftext XD |

Hi, gang! New to this forum but I'm a old hand at Greek Mythos. The Illiad is one of my favorite books, so I think I can shed some light on what women would make great characters for this game. Here are my picks in order.... 1. Penthesilea: Queen of the Amazons and Daughter of Ares, said to have a taste for adventure and battle. Said to have left Pontus because she killed her sister in a hunting accident and from then on was pursued by the Furies. Worn the armor of Ares, and had a double axe that was said given to her by the goddess of discord. Said that she outshown in beauty all her 12 maiden warriors she brought with her, each a lovely themselves. It was she and her band that rallied the Trojans and only timely intervention of Achilles and Ajax the Greater keep them from sweeping the Argives back to the sea. She was killed by Achilles. 2. Any of the 12 warriors Penthesilea brought with her which is stated the all had a thirst for strife and danger. Clonia, Bremusa, Euandra, Thermodeoa, Derione, Alcibia, Derimachia, little is know of them except how they died in battle. The others seem not to be mentioned. I would assume they survived to carry the tale back to Pontus, but who is to know? There were no other warrior women mentioned in the Illiad, but there were several strong women character named that played a part in the story. Helen is NOT one of them. She was nothing more than a stupid tool used by both sides and the gods. Her lover Paris was not much better, being a wife stealer, thief, murderer, and abandoned his own lawful wife to be with Helen. Not much of a hero would you say? Of strong women. Here are a few that stand out that could be in my opinion made into player characters. The best one would be. 1.Cassandra: Beautiful daughter of Priam. Thus a princess of Troy. She was also a seeress of Apollo with the gift of prophecy. A major women figure that played a part in the story. |

Kittin, your not the only one that feel that way. I too think gore for the sake of it, is just wrong. I do not mind a gritty feel for the game since the Illiad is full of very flawed Heroes and some fairly graphic depictions of violence. So, a slight more mature game does fit the theme. But, I have no desire to see buckets of blood and gore. It is a turn off, and I'm a older adult male from the USA and a combat veteran. |

first off Trojan new respect for ya man. second i agree with u about the buckets of blood. there's bloody combat, and then there's bloody overkill, and stuff like that doesn't make a game it could very well ruin it. maybe a little blood streak on your weapons arc or something, but if it's like each strike an explosion of blood i may not get the game. and another i really hope developers at Koei Canada are reading this forum intently for the sake of this epic conflict. |
