From Kotaku: Koei talking about the Swine Flu "As a result, there will be a limited number of staff from the company's Yokohama-based headquarters attending this year's show. However," the company added, "members from our Toronto studio, KOEI Canada, will be at E3 to speak about a new title that will be publicly unveiled at the show." Think of that new game as a consolation prize. Since TRINITY: Zill O'll Zero is a JRPG. It's obviously being made in Japan right now. If what Koei said is correct, then there should be a new title from Koei Canada at E3. I'm guessing this is their new title. This could mean a lot of things: -It might not be a Musou-like game. -If it is, then it might be a fresh view on the formula since it's coming from a different developer.

No, the fact that there's no "Musou" in the title simply means the title is in ENGLISH. Musou is not an English word, hence why they change it to "Warriors" every time they release one of them in English-speaking countries. As it so happens, English-speakers are being told about this game first, for once. (E3 IS held in the US, after all.) Andreas-Andi "...This will be the first time in KOEI's history that the company publicly debuts new titles outside of Japan." We still know next to nothing about this game, so it MIGHT not be a DW/SW/WO type of game, but every time Koei has made a "Musou" game, it has been released in English-speaking countries as a "Warriors" game. Musou = Warriors. English speaking people are more aware of the Iliad etc. than the Japanese as well so I'm not surprised this is getting it's first publicity in the US. Lets us hope the gameplay isnt like DW6 though and uses combos more like SW2. Maybe SW2 combo leveling up mixed with the skill tree of DW6. FTW! (and of course 4th weapons!) LOL and PLEASE koei dont give us half a game this time like DW6 Yes its something fresh donthatekongming. I have no problem at all with this game having Musou Modes because it is a fresh, brand new, historical period, but I am through with Musou Modes in the ROTK era because ROTK Musou Modes had been done absolutely to death.

First it has Warriors in the title. 2nd on Koei's official message board it is listed as tactical action game. You add those 2 things togeather, and it is obvious that it is a DW type game. I am very, very excited for this game. REGARDLESS it's nice to get another setting in the West was one of the people who got and enjoyed Bladestorm, so I'm still pleased either way!

Others might be sick of the musou and want more tactical and strategy stuff like Bladestorm or Kessen. But I became a fan of Koei for one reason only, and that has resided within the DW and SW games. If I want a different genre, then I go to a different company to do so. But, it being announced in English first makes me think that this is just something different and that it wont be the same and probably most certainly not made by Omega Force

But it being announced outside Japan first, probably means its not Omega Force made. So I am guessing that another developer inside Koei, maybe a Koei Canada game, is going to try their way at hack n slash we'll see.

I haven't heard that name in 4 years. I remember watching you debate against Huang Gai and the others back then when I was new. Good to have you here, bro. I wonder how this title will differ from previous, similar games. I'm expecting something similar to DW, but with added squad-level micromanagement and perhaps a more flashy combat system which would of course be on a much larger scale like in Ikusa Gami.
