I though I found it funny when i got Musashi, Honda, and Kotaro's 4ths at level 1 thanks to using Ginchiyo at Shu - 3X... and making the lvl1's pick up the +600 exp scrolls were dauntingly fun since i had to avoid getting hit XD.

Try Wu - 4X (Hard) with a maxed (or close) Yukimura; use his R1 (Multi + Brave + Air + Might + Slay) to kill officers instantly. For the other two characters, use anyone who needs their fourth weapon (even lvl1 ppl ^^)There are three weapon boxes in the tiny map, and one from Pang De, who shows up later. If you're quick/built-up, you should be able to finish around 7 minutes.

I think everyone knows about this already -_-

I read in the WO Dialogue list Topic that Yoshimoto appears with reinforcements in the Battle of Osaka Bay. Is this true? If so, how do you make him show up?

After the last of the reinforcements(I think it was Hanzo).
The drum can be sounded once again, and then Yoshimoto appears in yellow.
I am sure of this, it's only been one day since I unlocked Ina's PI.

Try playing those stages above level 50 is a safe bet. t's best to play on Hard mode in a 3 star stage or on Chaos mode on any 1 star stage. I got most of my weapons playing Wu Gaiden 4-X since the stage is very small and quick to complete it. The best starter character to use to acquire 4th weapons in that stage is Ieyasu, Sun Quan, and Sun Ce. Since they are all power characters, you there R1s like crazy and try juggling some of their charge attacks. You shouldn't have much problem afterwards.

I am going to merge this with the help thread. Also please cut your signature down to one image to accommodate the rules. Thanks!

Hello
I need some help because I am really getting PO about this.

I'm having trouble trying to unlock Imagawa Yoshimoto. I've read the character unlocking guide on Koei Warriors, and I went to Gamefaqs too. I've tried everything that the guides said to do and I still can't unlock him.

Asking for help to unlocking him. If anyone could provide a step by step help would be great if possible. I unlocked everyone else too except him and Orochi.

First things first - are you playing on story mode? If so, are you playing 2-player? If playing with 2 people, the same person must defeat all the engineers before they get into the camp. The same person may need to defeat Kenshin and Shingen, too.

My sig links to my YouTube account, where I have a Wei 4-X video in which I met the conditions to unlock Yoshimoto. I did the following:

1) Beat the four guys in my camp
2) Ran up to the southeast garrison and bumped off two generics and Kanetsugu
3) Ran up to the northwest, defeating generics on my way, until the engineers showed up
4) Went around squishing engineers and more generics
5) After the fire attack failed, defeated Kenshin and Shingen
6) Defeated Yoshimoto's generic lackey, then stole Yoshimoto from Zhang Liao and stomped him to death :P

You don't have to rush the garrison. I just did it to keep some of the officers out of my camp. Plus, it's fun.

I finally got him last night. Thank you Rydain for all your help. It helped a lot! I was doing it in story mode, but the problem was I noticed it was the 2 player coop thing that was messing it up.

First my friend and I beat it by me only killing all the engineers and then Shingen and Kenshin, while he protected Zhang Liao. Then after I killed Yoshimoto's lackey and then him, still no.

Then I played it on first player and I noticed something. When playing on first player and after I killed all the engineers, the message saying the fire attack was prevented appeared below, and it never appeared when my friend and I were playing. That was the big thing I noticed different, so then I finished the level and loe and behold I got the..............the guy.

I guess this is really just a first player level to unlock him I guess. It was finally worth getting Orochi though.

Your youtube video helped too. Great music for Cao Ren, and lol when Yoshimoto came out. Priceless. Thanks again Rydain!

I need help getting Ina's PI. I've read the requirements on the KW site and the one on the forum, but I think the only thing that can help me now is a record of someone's battle log.

I got the first five reinforcement offers to Keiji's camp and I never approached his camp. Imagawa Yoshimoto was the last person I called for, and he didn't get to the camp (well, because he doesn't need to), and I did all this in about 18 minutes. The site says 20 minutes, and the guide on the forum says 10 minutes (which I'm really hoping is a typo).

Every officer survived to the end, and I got the required 300 KOs with Ina. Heck, I got 1000 KOs and I didn't get the item.

To unclock Ina's PI, you need to do the following before 10 minutes remain in the stage:

-Protect all the reinforcement (total of 5)
-Gather all allies around Keiji before defeating Shigenaga Honjyo
-Open the gate
-Defeat 300

Well, I'll try it again, but if I don't get it this time I'm going to bother someone for their battle log. >_>

Ina's PI is one of the hardest for me.
Many have tried just under 20 minutes have failed.
I got mine in 16-17 minutes(forgot, didn't have time to check).
The major problem was getting the 300 KO's in time while protecting your allies and sounding the drums.
Try 2P if necessary. :)

Yup! If you do the above correctly and on time, Keiji will be in your team in no time! ;)

@zenko: Getting 300 KO's isn't that hard since there are heaps of enemies to slaughter. The only hard part I found was running around the map, just to hit the drum and get back to defend your allies. <_<

Sean, have you checked this FAQ/Walkthrough on GameFAQs?

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/938105/50885

Rampidzier lists step-by-step methods on how he got the item for Ina. You may find it more helpful than what I listed. Sorry too for the inconsistencies on the guides here at KW. I'm still trying to get the site one updated to match the forum one.

I downloaded that guide, actually, and I followed the guide to the best of my ability. Granted, each of my steps aren't exactly on par with Rampidizer's events, but that's nearly impossible.

As for getting 300 KOs, well, I've said it before, I'll say it again: I've gotten 1000 KOs on this level. That's using Ina alone, and not switching characters at all (like I'm supposed to).

And is it just me, or is the requirement for getting Keiji the same as the requirements for Ina's PI? Lazy Koei designers!

The time used to run back and forth to sound the drums AND keeping all the allies alive result in the loss of those kills, but actually not hard anymore with a decent, buffed up Ina. :)

Minus the 300 KO's, it is EXACTLY the same requirements for unlocking Keiji.
I'm not sure about the time though, some have complained in the past how 19-20 minutes exact wasn't sufficient to trigger to PI.

Hmm ... yes, the requirements are the same. When I unlocked Keiji, I had a 2nd controller plugged in and just had them stand next to the drum and hit it when Lu Meng told me to.

When I got Ina's PI, I used only 1P and did everything with her as you are doing. I didn't get it the first time, it did take a few times to get it. I can't remember what was different about my successful run though. I know that I did NOT need to summon Yoshimoto and that all my allies made it alive and I did it in under 17min.

What I can't remember is whether or not I approached Keiji's main camp while trying to protect my allies. I think when escorting Hanzo & Zhou Tai along the eastern path from the north, that I arrived near Keiji's camp and triggered more enemies. Then right after defeating them, I got the item message.

Since my memory is a bit hazy on this, I can try it today and post my results/methods.

EDIT: Scratch that out above. I just did it. Here's how (summary):

Team: Ina, Yuan Shao (for team attack buff) & Tadakatsu Honda (quick KO on Keiji)
Abilities: Vitality, Focus, Fortitude, Impulse, Potence, Boost & Cavalier
Difficulty: Normal (I had tried Chaos & Hard but I died half-way through on Chaos trying to Leeroy Jenkins the level and Zhu Zhi died just before reaching Keiji on Hard)

Method Summary:
- Started by heading east and clearing the northern path
- Lu Meng called for reinforcements so I went & summoned Zhu Zhi
- Back to clearing northern path up to almost 300KO
- Lu Meng called for reinforcements so I went & summoned Ieyasu Tokugawa
- Went to help Lu Meng & Zhu Zhi by defeating everyone around them

- At this point, I started to work my way around the boats closing bases & defeating any officers. When Lu Meng ordered to sound the drums, I would go and do so.

- After each allied reinforcement arrived, an enemy reinforcement also showed up so I would go and defeat them ASAP. I tried to make it a point to meet up with each of the allied reinforcements before they reached Keiji.

- The remaining allies I summoned were Naomasa Ii, Zhou Tai & Hanzo Hattori (I did NOT need to summon Yoshimoto).

- I tried to make sure Lu Meng & Zhu Zhi didn't run into enemy officers by defeating everyone ahead of them. The other allies were ok on their own.

- Lu Meng, Zhu Zhi, Ieyasu Tokugawa & Naomasa Ii all made it to Keiji at around the same time after I defeated the SE enemy reinforcements. (I don't think Naomasa ever actually engaged anyone)

- Zhou Tai made it next & Hanzo Hattori shortly after I defeated the last remaining officer outside Keiji's camp who was engaged with Hanzo. (To get to him, I did have to approach Keiji's camp and he did say his "I'm not sure you're ready ..." line).

- After Hanzo made it to the camp, I got the unique item message @ 15'18"

Misc. Notes:

- My allies did steal 1-2 officer KO
- My characters were level 99 so on Normal after using Yuan Shao's R1, Ina can defeat most peon soldiers or base captains & their guards with (1) L+R1 move (this made things so much easier/faster for me than the last time). C4 worked well for officers/crowds. ^_^
- Keiji was also unlocked successfully (after hitting him with (2) of Tadakatsu's R1 attack :P )

Sorry all for the long post. kazxjun, if I need to shorten it, let me know.

Impressive.
I'll try Ina's PI the first chance I get, I don't have the game right now. :(

Well, Ina isn't 99, or even remotely close to 99, she's Level 30 or something, but I play on Easy so it's not a big deal.
However, it might be a good idea to use 2P to hit the drum whenever Lu Meng calls for it. Hmm...

Well, thanks for all the help. Wish me luck. :P

stupid question lol, but is it possible to switch out an ability for another, so characters arent stuck with what you give em, e.g

say Cao Ren had this setup

Technique
Boost
Potence
Fortitude
Impulse
Refill
Adrenalin

and say you wanted to switch Boost for Recover (providing said character has recover), can you do that? and if you can, can the same be done with weapon elements?

thanks :)

You cannot switch abilities once the battle has started.
You can switch abilities during two periods: First, before choosing the battle, which occurs after you've picked your characters, and second, after choosing the battle but before it has started.

Merged.

I moved this to the General Help Thread. To answer your question, no you can not switch abilites during battle, only before or after battle. Just pick the abilites you feel that you will need throughout the whole battle. Besides, the abilites are set for all 3 characters except Technique, Power, and Speed begin as those are only used for whichever character is used in that category.

If you have Impulse and Cavalry for the same battle, does Impulse buff your horse?
