This is what helped me get it.
Copied from Neoseeker

Lu Bu (Wu Gaiden 8-X) - Hero's Armor
Within 9 minutes, do the following:
• Defeat 1000
Note: For the JP version, the easiest way to do this is to use Sakon
Shima's grab glitch on Masamune & the guard captain near him.
For the US/EU version, it is easier to use 2P & combine KO counts.

Recommended Method for 1P from JFunk_316:
Requirements: Really just Impulse (speed) 20, & hopefully your character
speed is maxed as well.
Move to use: Just one, his C4 with maxed range I hope (Bolt & Flash
definitely help)
Objective: Ultimately get to Masamune's base & get around 650 KOs in 4.5
minutes

When you start the battle, go up & defeat the first 15 troopers you see,
then turn left at the top, & wipe out everything you see that comes with
Lu Kuang, Chen Lan, & Lei Bo in that order ASAP. Work your way to the
left bottom corner take out the base captain. However, leave Sidewinder
alive, in fact, completely ignore him. When you reach the bottom, Lu Xun
will join your squad, let the A.I. take care of him. I will explain
shortly why you must do this.

Once the base captain in the bottom is gone, run or ride a fast horse,
whichever you prefer & get to Cao Xing on the top FAST. Defeat anything
that comes to you, but don't go out of your way to defeat one or two, its
not worth it. At this point, you pretty much fight your way up to the
area where the defense captain is holding the entrance to Lu Bu's area.
Of course you want to ignore them, but in that area, I believe there are
3 generals with good amount of troops, you can get a few quickies in
before the next step.

As I said earlier, to keep Sidewinder alive on the bottom for Lu Xun, the
reason why that is a must is because it buys you time to get from the
bottom to the top & anything you defeat along the way. If you defeat the
bottom 4 generals ASAP, Sakon Shima will send out the engineers right
away which forces Masamune to charge, this is not the best way to
maximize the onslaught at his base.

You shouldn't over kill at the top area, just whatever comes at you or
around you, unless the enemies in the next area comes to you, don't go
for them if you can. On this stage, time is your only enemy keep that in
mind. The next step is crucial in my strategy, it is the key to your
success or failure. As you run to Masamune's base, you will come across
Tsunenaga Hasekura, you should annihilate him and all his man, but more
importantly, this is precisely the time where you want Sakon Shima to
send his engineers. If Sakon sends the engineers too soon, Masamune will
take all the soldiers from that base to the frontline which lessens the
respawn rate of the that base, if he sends them too late, you will have
to waste time wait for him to leave. If you time it perfectly, you should
run into that base just as Masamune is out, so that you can lure the base
captain away & start to build up your KO. I would recommend you to have
around 325-350 KOs & time around 56-55.45, otherwise you would have a
difficult time to get enough KOs in time. On top of that, when the base
respawns at full capacity, you should get 2 sets of footmen & 1 set of
the blueish servant of the serpent king. That means 15 of them must come
out continuously from the very start, if not, you have no chance.
According to my calculation, you can get about 150-160 KOs per minute if
all of them regenerate.

Some of you might be wondering why all of a sudden that base stops
sending out troops, that is because Masamune has broke through the
coalition frontline & took over a base down there, if he gets in too
deep his men will no longer respawn from that base.

I actually got mine on hard, because you can build up bigger KOs easier
before you even reach Masamune's base. I wouldn't really recommend doing
this on Easy, at least Normal. However, it could work. I tried it on
Easy, & got around 950 KOs in 9 minutes.

Tell you the truth, I've tried all the single player guides there are on GameFAQs.
None of them worked for me, they just seem hard to do or I'm missing something.
Anyway, make a 2P assist you and getting the item will be piece of cake.

Neighbour's children. Honestly, even get your dad/mom, teach them how to move and attack. They only need about 300-400 KO's due to inexperience, but a regular player like yourself can take about 600-700 just by yourself alone.
The problem with the stage is that you can't teleport from one end of stage to the other.
The time required to go from one point to the other is what's taking time.
How did you unlock Lu Bu's PI?

Did I said I'd ever? :( My neighbour's children are too young, my parents will never play these kind of games (and I mean never). My brother only plays sports.

I had to manually control 2 controllers by myself to get Keiji Maeda in WO1....

Well, I used that guide and did it on my own ^_^ , but it did take me about 5 times in a row. I was going to use a friend, but the only friend that would help me was at work at the time, and im impatient :D , but if you can get anyone to help you, I recomend that, as I was practically throwing my controller across the room in frustration

It's ok. I'll do it eventually, with 2 controller at the same time if possible o_O. If I can spend 5+ hours on SCIV trying to crack ToLS 45, I can definately do it....if I have the mood to go back to WO1 that is XD.

I'll take the guides into consideration too ^_^....maybe i'll go back and clear that :D

I did mine with my brother as the 2nd player, if you have to go it alone well:
- Don't kill any officers
- Impulse, Potence are really important so max those out
- Don't use Cavalier
- Don't use Lu Bu's R1 at all, it will just drain alot of time and its worthless if you miss.

I tried this like 10 times on my own and got 1000 only 30secs after the 9mins, my team set up was:
Lu Bu
Yuan Shao (For Power Buff)
Hideyoshi (For Speed Buff)

And that still didn't get me their...

No PI's in MO2, but they have the Tenbu system (special weapon upgrades/refines).
This is a good replacement I think because PI's aren't really worth getting, except if you want a complete file and gallery, otherwise, their charge enhancements I hardly ever notice the difference.

@Chosis - Yeah, Tenbu (天舞) is a new weapon bonus.  Here's the full list.  Hope the Japanese text works for you.

兵法 - Doubles duration for all item buffs
不屈 - Doubles attack damage during critical HP
旋回 - Easier air-recovery
補給 - Increases drop rates of healing items from enemies.
狙撃 - Increases arrow damage
天活 - Enables True Musou Attack regardless of HP
天陣 - Enables Team Attack regardless of HP
瀉曲 - Reduces damage taken
頑強 - Withstands damage during charge attacks
飛龍 - Allows jump-cancel of charge attacks
金甲 - Cannot be interrupted by arrows
連攜 - Enables Assist Attack with half musou gauge (normally requires full musou)
賦活 - Musou gauge will regenerate
再生 - Revives the character once after death
天舞 - When Musou gauge is full, all attacks will carry elements

@Scarmiglione - There are 15 new enchants and a total of 30 unlockable items (commonly called ingredients) required to make all of the enchants available. (Enchants are unlocked as soon as you get all of the items needed for that particular enchant, so you don't have to collect the full set of items just to get started.) You can have up to three enchants on each weapon.

天舞 is both the overall name given to the weapon enhancements as well as one of the actual active ingredient.

bleh, well I tried again a few more times with Lu Bu, gave up, I think ill do all the others first and leave Lu Bu's PI as my last priority on WO1, ill be able to max everything for him then to make it a tiny bit easier

PS: for using the 2P method, does Lu Bu have to be 1P and can it be any other character for 2P?

For Lu Bu, max his 4th weapon with NO Multi. You will have little chance without a max weapon.

Then clear up the southern area in about 1:45 - 1:50 and by then, Masamune should start moving South east. Go to the gate where he started, lure the base captain away from the gate and keep him off screen (do this quickly or you lose time and the item). Then farm the KOs.

That's an over-simplified version of course, but it does work. The trick is the timing and getting that base captain away from it. That's why the JP version with Sakon's grab glitch is so much easier.

Rampidzier's method in his FAQ is best due to the listing of his time log showing how fast you need to be. Compare your results with his as you play.

Other than that, 2player like everyone else has suggested, with both players using Lu Bu.

Hmm ... well, I noticed that standing too close to the gate makes it harder to collect KOs for one thing. It almost seems like the gate spawns more when you're away from it a bit. I'm sure that's nonsense, but I tried to stay a little bit away from the gate regardless since less people have a chance to run away without actually coming out of the gate.

Seriously, it all comes down to timing. It is possible with 1P, just not easy. 2P makes it so much easier.

I got Keiji on my first playthrough with the team of Sun Ce, Ranmaru Mori, and Kotaro Fuma. It took a few tries, but I eventually got him on the 4th try I believe. It's not that difficult. You just have to be fast with the drum when Lu Meng says to hit it.

After I got Keiji, I immediately swapped out Sun Ce for him, and continued on with the story.

each character has their own unique personal item that they must obtain by completing a certain amount of requirements on a certain stage, some are easy, some are a bit hard, some are incredibly hard (coughlubucough)

There's a guide on gamefaqs which shows how to get each characters Personal item, and there's one here too

Maybe it requires you not to use any attacks that deplete Musou gauge or there is a time limit. I'd suggest you read the objective carefully and play it on easy. Good luck. :)
