January 6, 2009 - If you're a PS3 owners who loves some crossover Musou, you'll want to sit down for this. Retail listings in Japan have popped up for Musou Orochi Z, said to be a new PS3 entry in the series that's known internationally as Warriors Orochi. The title is apparently due for Japanese release on March 12 and will carry a price of 7,560 yen. Koei hasn't formally announced the title, so consider this just a rumor for now. ...I doubt it's true. KOEI has been informing us of games before/early development as of late, look at Samurai Warriors 3. Not to mention WO2 is hardly even a year old yet.. |

This is fantastic, as I'd love a next-gen Orochi I can play in my room. However, I beg the question, and i know no one knows the answer yet, of course, but is this going to be a direct port of WO1 or WO2 for PS2 and 360? If it is indeed a new entry, as it says in the article, I don't want last-gen graphics and I don't want the same exact game. That's one thing they've screwed up with the 360 entries and that is graphics. There's no reason for them to look that bad. So, I'll remain speculative. If it's a new entry with new characters, storyline, etc., it's a sure-fire purchase for me, and we'll likely get it stateside around August or September, it seems. The graphics, I hope, will be better, but won't be a complete deal-breaker. If it's a port, no purchase from me. I'll keep my eyes peeled. |

Warriors orochi 2 for the 360 is a great game! The game have almost no slow down good graphics and it was great. I really hope that with WO 3 we can get a game with graphics like Musou Gundam 2 or better and the same roster or even more characters. I really want to see the Samurai Warriors 3 new characters on this game

Well, I'm surprised if this game is a sequel to WO2. Not much time has passed since its release and I think KOEI hasn't even announced release date for SW3 yet. Maybe we're just talking about some sort of WO: Special? //Nevermind. It could be a sequel after all. I just realised that there was one year's gap between WO and WO2's Japanese releases. not sure what to think of this? there are so many games coming from KOEI so quick, i have a hard time believing that this would be an entirely new game. however, i'll remain open-minded for the moment. |

Wouldnīt mind if itīs just a special...would kill time till DW6:E and I didnīt play WO2...maybe itīs for making up that the PS3 didnīt get WO2(KOEI will squeeze every drop of money out of each game...so another version, for another console....sly KOEI  )

As LDZ said, I think its just another money scheme, as in it will most likely just be a port of WO2, although I couldnt imagine that doing very well at all. Hmm, maybe it will be like a WO2 special, with some added stuff. Either way though, i am happy to see something of anything that is WO going to the PS3. |

lol wut But really, I hope this isn't just a big fat rumor or an upgraded. Orochi2 got really old quickly for me, and I'd hate to just see it again with shinier graphics. I'm anxious to see how this rumor turns out. |

This is gonna be lame. Its gonna be a port of WO2 with a few extras. Think about it, SW3 hasnt come out yet and is not even close to release so they have to use SW2 models. I HIGHLY doubt they will implement DW6 models into it becuase they would have to totally rework renbu system since SW2 doesnt have that. There just hasnt been enough time to do all this since they just announced delay of DW6 epires and strikeforce. Either rumor, or just a really lame WO2 addition to rip us off more. |

The "Z" confuses me... A complete sequel, a conversion for the PS3 or a spin-off? Yet, it would be nice that they use the DW6/SW3 counterparts if it's a new title, but I doubt it, since we know almost nothing about SW3. |

I hope this isn't something that will be more dissapointing than the Fake DW6 XL News as peoples hopes of expecting these games will go down. I had a hunch that KOEI May do some sort of twist to continue the legacy of the Wariors orochi series as 2 titles wouldn't be enough of course what we need to know now is: IF this Game is Real will be be a sequal or spin off/Expansion? IF it's a Sequal who will the main Villain be? supposedly if they'll exist Orochi's Brother or even Son perhaps (Which would be a real twist of the Previous titles) Will the DW6 Characters (Including the 7 removed ones which they would have to give them upgraded looks like with Fu Xi and Nu Wa or if they release this after DW6 XL whenever that is) be upgraded as playable ones in it alongside the SW3 Characters? (Meaning this would have to be released after SW3) and will they still have renbu? and will the SW3 Characters get renbu as well if they are Upgraded/added? Will More unique Characters be added such as more legends similar to Sun Wukong, Yoshitsune Minamoto and Kiyomori Taira and will the Mystic army be expanded too? What modes of play will there be? will more be added to replace the old ones with something new? Will this be like Strikeforce but ported to a console? imagine free roaming in the Orochi world who knows what you might find Until this is Proven by KOEI to exist these are just minor assumptions (In My Opinion of Course) of what i'd like to see in it. If they don't prove it i wont believe it's real. I know there's a lot of questions up there that could remain unanswered

3 conclusions here. 1. There is no way, unless they update a lot of DW6 models, rush SW3 out and get it on PS then put them all into a game, no chance. 2. This is somewhat a solo Orochi game perhaps. Orochi takes on Warriors. Orochi's WO2 story perhaps. May not even be like the typical 'Warriors' type system/fighting. 3. Or, lies lies lies, quite simply a fake. |

hmm? wth? i'm not even done with WO2 yet!..something tells me that this might be the XL version of WO. However judging by the price it might be a completely different game? what's next? Orochi and Da Ji have a kid to unleash havoc on the world once again? also at most it would probably be the characters from DW5-SW2 with maybe make costumes for the DW charcters their DW6 forms...which to tell to the truth..wouldn't be bad at all lol |

My guess is that it'll be a port of WO2 with maybe some extras added in. Probably slightly upgraded graphics. I highly doubt they'd add SW3 models in there since the sensible thing would be to debut the new looks of the characters in their own game as opposed to the crossover one. If this IS some kind of WO2 expansion my hope would be that they add some new characters. All that I could think of that would work with it's fighting system would be new legend characters. Then again this could be just some craps*** direct port of WO2 with nothing new added in which case this is one Koei cash-in attempt I won't be getting. |
