I believe that nations and borders are artificial, arbitrary, and conventional. Therefore there are only two logically airtight options for politics in this world. The one world government could come in any form (monarchy, democracy, communism, etc.). The other option would be 6 billion regimes for 6 billion people. Choice #1 ranks unity higher than diversity, vice-versa for Choice #2. The reason there is no logical middle ground is that all things have something in common yet are not perfectly identical. Of course, a united nation can still be diverse and divided nations can still cooperate.
