Seriously it doesn't stop me from doing cosplay anyway. The best I can do is create the cosplay in such a way I don't look ENORMOUS and as spot on as can be! (Though being Dutch, I have no access to all the fabrics I want, but I spend a good two months looking for the ideal fabric for my Diao Chan gloves and legpieces! >.<) I WORK very hard on my costumes, and to simply hear I don't look like a character so I shouldn't cosplay it... >.> It does sting a little! What I kind of meant was, most people cosplaying don't understand that you do actually need a lot of money for the right materials for costumes in order for it to work. What's the point of trying to look like DW6 Zhao Yun and then coming in with a towel over your arm and carboard armorplates? Also, you kinda need to look like the person you want to cosplay if that person displays face and some bodyparts. For instance, if you want to do SSX, you can't be 1.90 meters tall and obese. I would never want to cosplay myself, but I do think it's cool if people actually succeed. well some of us cant be 5 feet tall and 100 lbs either. you cosplay because u like the character and the fun of it. it gives u an escape. And besides game characters dont gain baby weight. so your telling me if someone is slightly bigger than the character they shouldnt do it... I have been planning ssx dw4 last outfit for years now. and i have baby weight from my daughter.. I just wish u could understand cosplayers. no offence to anyone but you dont have to be asian to pull off a good koei cosplay. Even if all the characters might be.... EDITT:: i just noticed some sun shang xiang cosplayers that were on the full figured side. o.o i think im in good hands there .. i cant wait to see my outfit done. You gotta give the cosplayer credit for trying something different and challenging. Not to mention, it really is quite successful, as you can easily tell it's Orochi.

They might not be 100 % perfect, but they are pretty much somewhere over 90 % If you think it might be a requirement to be somewhat insane to pull off as georgeous and complicacted cospalys such as these... remembers her own Taigong cosplay You might be on on something. However if you consider a well-done cosplay that stands out from others alone for the fact that it is something not everybody would even consider to attempt pulling off, retarted, I'd definitly say you are in the wrong category and wrong hobby if you should have considered picking it up. But if you think you can do better than them... Show us. Even if you should manage to pull it off thought, I'm not taking back my oppinion about their costumes. They are great and will always be. Even if there might possibly someone out there, that might have done a better job, it doesn't lessen their creation.

I was quite aware of that fact when I took on the challenge of this costume. What an ignorant comment for you to make, I'd like to see some of your cosplays then if your going to judge all of ours!

But he's probably new to the whole idea of cosplay. I think many people's first reactions to cosplay can be mixed, like "what are they doing, dressing as game characters? How silly!" But once people become more familiar with the idea, the more comfortable they become with it. Hopefully with time Orochi-X can appreciate and value any cosplay for what it is.
