^^ I sooo agree with Matsu. She and Oichi are on the top of my list for female characters. That is till all the new female characters appear.Speaking of which, Koba said there will be a LOT of females so I can't wait . Anyway its Thursday evening here in Florida so the spoiler for me is...4 days. So short yet so long T.T .Anyway I can't wait to see the next batch. Hopefully the NPC-go roung will come to a complete stop. And I can't wait to see the new silhouettes . hopefully around mid this month we'll get some Maggie and Yoshi love . I'm also psyched to see what the story line will play out. Its safe to say that for this game Masamune and Yukimura have stepped down from being the poster boys and league characters, as Mitsunari and Ieyasu seem to be the presenting characters. But I'm super glad that they'll be treating every character as the main character. That means that they'll be spending heavy amounts of time on each characters story. Which brings us back too the roster issue. If they are treating every character as the main that means we'll most likely have the 24 playable character roster. Generally low for the hack 'n' slash category but I'd rather have a game with deep important stories and only 24 characters then one with half-a**ed stories with 40 playable characters.

I don't know about that, honestly...yeah, if all their stories were awesome kick-ass, I'd agree with you, but I'd rather have 40 unique characters with a minimal story mode than 24 with a "normal" one... But that's just my opinion! Anyway guys, we don't know what to expect of next week's spoiler, but at least rest assured that Maggie and Yoshi's vid (whenever they will grace us with their presence) are heaps better than the ones we've seen till now. Believe it! |

Oh yeah, that's right. You've already seen the Magoichi and Yoshitsugu vids, you lucky *insert sarcastic swear word here*. I remember you talking about how awesome they were in your coverage. I hope we get to see what you mean. I jsut have one question for all of you Basara veterans; one of the most consistent complaints outside of Japan regarding DW/SW/DK is that it's repetitive. But it's not they story they complain about, it's the gameplay. As in, "What's so fun about walking around pressing the Square button constantly? That's boring!". I know DW and SW had that, but what about Basara? Any part of the gameplay that isn't "taken from the KOEI handbook"? |

It still generally falls under the "hack-and-slash" category, which means that the battle system isn't going to be as deep as something like DMC or Bayonetta. However, I believe that Basara tends to have a deeper and less repetitive battle system than the complaints usually leveled on DW/SW. For one, you aren't tied down to the static combo strings, where only a few of them are useful. Comboing, and battles in general, follow a much more free-form style. You do have your standard "mash square" string, but from that you can mix and match any of your equipped skills. And in SB3 you have even more skills to choose from at once. What's even better, is that the skills are extremely unique, which further breaks the DW mold. You have charging dashes, super risk/reward power strikes, combo enhancers, skills that pull in/push away, tons of fun options. Add to that the more superficial elements (8 different weapons, elemental damage, completely different costumes, armor pieces) and you have a lot to keep you from getting bored. Basara to me is really like the best of both worlds, tons of greatly designed characters destroying wave after wave of enemies, with a deeper, more cohesive and option-filled battle system. |

Florida BASARAites represent! lol. Anyways I also hope we get a decent amount of new females in this game. Two problems I always saw with BASARA was too many clone movesets and too little women, so heres hoping that SB3 fixes both ^__^. |

Afaik the PS3 version will have online co-op and that is all we know so far. I don't think they would add online and take away split screen, especially with the Wii apparently not getting the online co-op, but we haven't heard one way or the other on that. Hopefully they will have both online and split screen co-op on all modes this time instead of only Conquest and Grand Tournament. |

Well, if we're going with the one playable character per faction idea, then I she wouldn't be playable, and even as an NPC she wouldn't really bring any particular meaning to the story. But then again, why not? |

I´d say, better count on tuesday for the Famitsu infos. But the day doesn´t matter, as long as we´ll get something next week Hmmm...did Koba say there are lots of females? I only remember the "one name, one character rule", "the lots of characters" statment. Maybe I forgot that...wouldn´t mind lots of femals since this game, definietly lacks in that section. I mean Magoichi is there but what else? Noh´s dead. Kasuga is a NPC. Oichi, Matsu, Itsuki...who knows how they´ll end up... There should at be at LEAST 4 playable ladies. |

Well, again, if Ichi is indeed not here (for whatever reason), then I'm really hoping for ChaCha/Yodo-dono. I really can't imagine a lady who was pretty much responsible for the events of Sekigahara herself (or rather, her and Hideyoshi's young son) not being involved in some way. And again, there's something to be said about how she's technically the last of the Oda and Nagamasa bloodlines. ![]() A female, who utilizes the power of the "light" powers of Nagamasa, and a bit of the Oda powers of darkness...all as part of a Super Sentai/Metal Hero montage? That would be....tres awesome. She could be like a Sengoku era equivalent of a Bubblegum Crisis lady!

If they included ChaCha, then I don't think Oichi will be a PC, or maybe she wouldn't even appear at all. Plus if ChaCha was there, I'd like them to include O-hatsu as well There's also Garasha/Gracia, I think she has a decent chance. She would definately make an interesting addition. I can imagine her being a bit crazy like her dad. Tachibana Ginchiyo, possibly. Nene is technically dead, but you never know with Capcom. There aren't really any other popular female figures I can think of, unless they go for more obscure ones like Tsuruhime and Takeda Nezu. |

Well, shoot, if I had it my way, all 3 of Nagamasa's girls would be in here. Be the perfect vessel for my "Sengoku Bubblegum Crisis" trifecta idea! Only thing is, if they're really hard up about only representing one member from each faction, then well, we might as well just stick with the one who had the most "relevance". Or maybe they could all be a part of one character, with the other two being "summons" and the like.... ![]() Other wise, yeah, Gracia has been one that most of us could see any way. After all, just cuz her crazy daddy is gone, doesn't mean Gracia couldn't pick up where she left off. |

"Oh noes its Gracia,RUN FOR YOUR LIFES~!" So the PS3 would get online co-op?Alright then.So the only thing left is to get someone to sponsor me a PS3 and then I can start playing with my friend via online Well,Koba didn't give any hints of a new Sengoku Basara game on the PSP right?I hope its system will be improved and it'll be just like our normal SB/SB2/SB3 from the PS2/PS3/Wii. Koei managed to include full maps, why not Capcom do better?

Minus 2 days....hmm, since we all live in different timezones, and if we're lucky the spoilers will come on tuesday evening (Japan time) I'd say it's minus...60 hours! I wonder what stages mr. Iron ball and Yoshihiro will fight in...if the former is indeed a Eastern general, it would be nice if they showed us their respective stages... For Yoshihiro the easiest guess is against Tadakatsu, but then would they show us Sekigahara already? We've already seen Mikatagahara, and Komaki-Nagakute is already a "past" battle... Now that I think about it they might use him to give us hints about a Tachibana character Also, will the NPC presentation involve Sasuke and Kojuro this time...? I hope so, so we get them out of the way, but....who knows... Ah, I can't wait! Edited by Nine Demons Yoshitaka, Sun Jan 10, 2010 4:12 am.

This had better be a nice sized blow-out. We've been waiting a while, and technically speaking, this game may be out any where between 5-7 months from now, into the summer. It's high time this hype train really starting getting under way, because I'm sure there's going to be a good deal of stuff that stands to come out around the same. Hell, even this upcoming Famitsu promises to have something interesting. 6-7 page article (including 5 pages devoted an interview the game's direction), for a new robot action title that will be revealed in a few days. Koba can't afford to keep holding back, if he wants to make sure BASARA stays out there... |

Yeah, this is pretty much the only reason why I'm concerned about the info we have right now. For a game that comes out in its home country in a few months, we know surprisingly little about the game itself. We know about 11 PCs, 4 NPCs, and a unique generic, but if I heard Koba right, this is less than 1/3 of what's coming. We know the overall backstory, but we don't know the stages or the clans involved. We know there's online co-op, but we don't EXACTLY know how that's gonna work. There has to be a blowout this week. It's been more than a month since the last update, and he doesn't have a lot of time left. |

Greetings everyone. I'll keep this brief since I don't entirely think that this is allowed, but I wanted to get a quick assessment on a claim of who the shackled man is, and I don't think that just pasting up that snippet here seems really right. I apologize, but I'm growing really inpatient of the lack of news, and this topic seemed more alive then the dedicated topic to Shackles, as I call him. A few days ago a possible roster appeared on Gamefaqs, and while I don't believe it to be legitimate it lists Shackles as the following(paraphrasing); Satake Yoshinobu. Son of a famous "berserker" warlord. Keeps himself in shackles due to fear of his blood. I'm not knowledgeable enough about the era to argue for it, so I wanted to hear your opinions. Sorry for posting this in two places, but I really wanted to know quickly, and I'm not a very patient man. In any case, nice to meet you all! |

Hmmm Satake Yoshinobu. Sounds interesting I'll have to look into it. The explanation seems quite reasonable. To a certain extent. If this was posted a few days ago I doubt that person is telling the truth. Unless he/she had an inside source from Capcom or Famitsu I doubt its true . Kind of like that troll on 2ch who was spouting unreliable info on who the chain 'n' ball dude. But then again its Monday (here) so I'll just wait till 11 or 12 o'clock to see. Nah bad idea, its mid-term week in my school, haveta get a good nights rest
