I seriously wouldn't mind if they add in japanese as only language .. with subtitles... but preferably i would like dual audio. Just for the sake of having it lol. Shouldn't be too hard right?

robotzombie and Watchtower,
After my last post I ended putting a little more thought to the subject and recalled the "niche audience". Perhaps I am mistaken but the game could benefit from having a Japanese audio. There's definitely an increase in people who want games in their "original" versions and the ever growing popularity of anime and interest in Japanese culture could attract people who aren't already fans of the series.
But I have no idea how large this market is, perhaps keeping true to the term "niche", it's likely very small.
And bearing in mind the inevitable comparison to Koei's titles, and despite being correct or not, I can imagine most people immediately judging SB3 negatively for being dubbed.
Anyway, we'll see (and hear) it when it gets properly announced.

On a side note, Capcom's surprises for today were some X360 game event (the "surprise" game is Monster Hunter Frontier, btw) and SSFIV got a proper release date (collector's edition too), the Japanese X360 version will come with a exclusive animated feature film. We all know that thing will be all over the internet once anyone gets the game, but it's still pretty stupid of 'em. Sure, keep it in Japan, but why treat the PS3 like a stepson?
Also, Tatsunoko vs Capcom's US released is being stripped of both the animated endings and the soundtrack of Tatsunoko and Capcom themes. It does have a dual audio option, so that gives some hope regarding Basara.
My apologies for this slight derailment.

I disagree. I really think that they should add either English or English and Japanese. I don't think that the game would sell well if they only had Japanese as the only language. To new fans ( Which we will need of the game is going to sell good enough for them to keep releasing it here) it really wouldn't appeal to them if they couldn't understand what characters were saying, don't ya think? However, there is a huge crowd that DOES want the Japanese voices. So if Capcom is smart with this one, then they will give the dual audio option. (Well not really if their smart, but if they actually want to try to make the game sell well overseas).

Just my take on this topic.

Oh and does anyone know what side Kanbei will be in. Tsu-chan will obviously be with the Western Army(since Motochika is in the Eastern) but I have yet to find out where Kanbei will be placed.I think most likely Eastern going historically but then again this is BASARA..... :ph43r:
A bit correction here. Motochika is with the west, so if Tsuru is against him, she should be in the east.
How about the north and the south?

there is no south or north in this battle ohhh and in those scans it shows kanbei fighting shimazus army so that means kanbei is on the east side

You are right, people will judge it negatively for only being dubbed. The thing is, those people will still buy it. People who have no vested interest in the series may judge it negatively for NOT being dubbed, however, those people will NOT buy it, which is why they'd be weighted more. I'm speaking in generalities of course.

Also, I'm almost positive TvC isn't dual audio. Everyone has their japanese voices except for Frank West, who speaks English. Besides, a few key lines during fights and some quick ending dialogue is very different from a game with storyline cutscenes, in game comments, dialogue, etc. It would probably take up too much space and never fit onto one Wii disc if they tried to go with dual audio for the Wii version of Basara.

Well, that was nice trip to Ireland ^_^

After catching up to the last couple of pages, I've realised that the number of BASARA fans is slowly, but surely increasing, which is great!

First off, Tsuru and Kanbei look really awesome. Tsuru, for one, has definitely impressed me. Her skills seem nice and flashy, her Basara looks crazy fun to use and her "recoil" ability is interesting to say the least. As for Kanbei, I wasn't really surprised as I pictured him playing something like that, but I'm happy none the less. Never noticed he had a ponytail, his manly essence is over-whelming :sly:

Well, as for tomorrow's update, I don't want to combo break the secret, but its finally here! \(^o^)/

Thanks for that, man. I could check the site anytime I wanted to, but I can't read Japanese, and for some reason, my computer won't translate it!

Oh man, tomorrow's gonna be sweet! I'll play along with the hush-hush, just 'cause. ^_^

Same here. Style's the only way you can take out legions of enemy soldiers if you can't do it ferociously ^^;

Well then, since it's no longer a spoiler... the official site's updated with Otani Yoshitsugu's gameplay video.

Oh, and they also updated Kanbei's skill & basara attack details, still sans the voice sample. Man, the update pattern is getting more and more random now, but I guess this might signify that we'll get our next batch sooner than expected now?
