Good video. Nice to see that some of his skills are easier to use and more effective. Would have liked to see Kojuuro's slaughter mode though. I hope they didn't cut it out like in HEROES.

Just woke up and saw the update.
Well, i don't know. Somehow Aniki's video didn't blow me away with awesomeness like the other videos. But it's a nice video anyways... I guess.
Hideaki voice sounds exactly like i expected and Tenkai sounds like someone, but I'm not sure who :ph43r:

Ah, Motochika looks so awesome  And Masamune too, it seems he hasn't lost all his cockiness... and Kojuurou :(

Ha! I knew Fukuyama Jun would do a good job. Hideaki seems to be growing on me ever so slightly. But it's good to see that "Tenkai" is as psycho as ever! :D

btw, hope I'm not the only one who noticed; haven't Motochika's eyes changed colour? I remember them being blue before, but now they're brown. Think they did this on purpose?

w00t, looks like Aniki is getting more fun to use. ^_^

But anyway, looking at the story descriptions and screenshots so far, is it just me or is Ieyasu going to turn as the 'Nobunaga' of SB3, as in lots of people are against him? So far I've seen the NPC screenshots, it is always Ieyasu who fights them. Kinda ironic, considering he is the one who should be considered as the hero in this game and wants to unify the land with bonds... >.>

I figured they just had him as the "Poster Boy" for this game.

Thanks for the renders Jsun. At least there's something out of this ordeal...

Aniki seems more fun to use. I don't recall him using the anchor to pull enemies in like that. Ditto for the twirly thingie that know appears to hit while he's...well, twirling it overhead.
On the other hand, the stage seemed more of a chore than anything else. Trust Masamune to be a jerk - he'll deliver!

So, there's an update for next Thursday? Whatever...we'll see once it comes.

I think it's just because he's the posterboy for this game. IIRC, Keiji's used in a lot of the screenshots for SB2 because he was the posterboy for that game.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there only a Heroes expansion for the second game? It feels a little too early to say for certain there's going to be one for this game, especially with how we keep getting disappointed with each new batch of information.

Wait, wait, wait...do you think it´s a farce?

Is this some kind of game were the hero turns out to be the villain?

Is Ieyasu the one that killed Hideyoshi just for power, attacked and even DESTROYED as Motochika said, Shikoku for more land and now even took Matsu hostage to make a NPC fighting?

So Ieyasu is now the one who does the kidnapping?

I hope they show the "bad" eastern officer who does all that stuff.

I mean Ieyasu isn´t the kind of guy who would kidnap someone or destroy Motochika´s home. His honor as a Mikawa warrior wouldn´t allow for such things.

The Tokugawa have been shunned for over 2 games, now that he represents the light, don´t turn that around Koba, for a cheap story twist :hmmm:

EDIT:

Awwwww....so cute, Mitsuhide´s laugh is back. Now I´m not angry about his inclusion as a NPC anymore.

All the characters I love are either unplayable, dead or have been kidnapped...

Wait...I like Ieyasu and he stayed a NPC in SB2 and constantly was kidnapped. Now Matsu is the NPC and is getting kidnapped?

Why are you doing this to my favourite characters Koba? What´s so funny about kidnapping someone?

Because payback is a mean *****, that's why. I think you'll soon understand my pain, DK. Just don't go over the board.

P.S: Matsu WAS historically turned into a Tokugawa hostage, so there's a cred for that rather than something pulled out of the ass.

P.P.S: All the bad things was done under the name 'Eastern Army', not Ieyasu. So, yes, I'd say there's a shady Eastern officer who does those bad things in Ieyasu's name, staining his name. I'm still 50-50 if Ieyasu is now the true villain or not.

Showing Ieyasu's bad points is not really a bad thing. War isn't black and white, and every warlords have their pluses and minuses. Making Ieyasu a heroic general with no flaws whatsoever will not be too good.

Times goes by. Ieyasu has grown, so there is a possibilty that his bonds with Motochika are no longer that strong.

Now thats what you call an update. Hideaki's voice matches him perfectly. You can almost tell what kind of character he'll be just by hearing it. Nicely done, Fukuyama Jun. And who else had a big grin after hearing Tenkai's laugh? TBH, Tenkai may even be creepier than Mitsuhide, I mean, what kind of good hearted monk laughs like that? The story just got all the more interesting :sly:

But nothing tops that video. The first thing I noticed were the wind effects, making Aniki's jacket flap about, and is one reason why I love the BASARA team. Such detail to animation! I also noticed Oichi and her hair animations in the screenshots. Anyway, looks like Aniki got buffed, big time. His new skills look mental, especially launching his spear tip around like that :OMG:

The stage looks great, though I can definitely see why some people may not like it. I like to take my time on a stage, explore for secret areas, and wipe out evey general, so racing Masamune doesn't really attract me. Still, during the race, it appears there are no generals of to speak, so its all good. Sadly, its the opposite with Kojuurou. I guess, after fulfilling the mission objective, I'll have to go back and destroy whatever generals are left... On the other hand, the music is, well, its what I'd expect of the series, top-notch.

Thanks for the renders and video upload Jsun, thanks for the trans NDY, and finally, thanks for the inevitable subs DK :hehe:

Also, next week certainly looks promising. The opening (?) and new info. Don't be a idiot Koba!

The thing is, they're pushing Ieyasu as a completely good guy...

When talking about the Shikoku invasion at TGS (or was it Jump Festa?) Koba said:

"Shikoku was invaded and crushed by Ieya.....the Tokugawa"

So the presence of a schemer in the east is pretty much guaranteed.

In other news, the official site's mobile newsletter pretty much confirmed that the battle of Gassan Toda castle will be in the game. Amago ahoy!!

Gassantoda castle? That was Haruhisa vs Motonari right? Very interesting indeed. Doesn't neccessarily mean that we'll be getting Haruhisa, maybe Yoshihisa, Katsuhisa or even Yukimori, but any Amago character is good nonetheless.

Looks like Motonari will be getting a new rival too (I wonder if Motochika is jealous?) :sly:

I understand it, that he´s not flawless.

But he shouldn´t be the one doing or willingly ordering it.

He stands by as someone of his allies or even under his own army destroys the bonds of other people and still preaches on about his strong bonds...so that´d mean that he accepts the things that shady character does, even if he might not like it.

That´d be a big stain on his hero being allready.

And NJB, I, of all people, understood your pain well.
I accepted his kidnapp story, since SB2 wasn´t that serious (I mean around half of the stories were comedy stories) but it hurt to think about Ieyasu´s future, if he´d stay that way.

Now the kid, full of honor and thoughts of the future of japan has grown up. He shouldn´t turn into the next Nobunaga or Hideyoshi. He was and still is too different from them. If they soil his honorfull Mikawa character, just for a boring twist...

Also here´s Aniki´s subbed video:

Though, what is it that he wants to atone for?

The people he killed cause of his revenge for the things "Ieyasu" did?
Or the fact that he trusted Ieyasu and wasn´t carefull enough?

EDIT:

IKEEEEEEEE, CRESCENT MOON SAMURAI!!!!!
FIGHT FOR THE HONOR OF THE AMAGO CLAN!!!!

@Koen

I´d be jealous. Motonari is probably going to get a cool new rival.
And all Aniki got is a girl that shoots sparkly pink arrows.

At least they fit his own color a but.

I suppose i was to tired after just waking up to notice it properly :P
Thanks for the subs DK and thanks for the vidoe Jsun and thank you NDY for the translation.

Edit: Oh the Amago clan  . That would really be nice.
Please don't turn this into a nightmare Koba. :/

One interesting thing I am noticing is that is seems many (If not all) of the characters will have a skills that let's them chain to others. Just look at Masamune and Motochika's videos. Keiji has a skill like that too. Nice way to spice up the gameplay and add more variety.

I'm fairly certain the poster got her information from this thread, you know.

As far as Matsu, she was historically a hostage for the Tokugawa IIRC, so they didn't pull it out of their ass this time.

Question: Does anyone think that since they showed gameplay of Motochika, they'll go back and show the others as well?

So they add Tsuruhime, a character not related to the Sekigahara history at all not even the Nobunaga era and make her an important ally of the eastern army...

Motonari is still alive, even though he should´ve seen the warm light of the sun as piece of earth by now...

But when it comes to Matsu, becoming a hostage for the Tokugawa, so to say, a excuse to make her a NPC and say well, bad luck, Koba suddenly knows about the history of japan.

Oh well, got over it again.
If he adds my, you know them Ukita, Todo, Matsunaga, Fuma.

But I demand even more now. Another playable female character.
No NPCs. He said he´ll add more females but so far we have 4 and two of them aren´t playable, one isn´t even a real historical figure, the other one isn´t related to Sekigahara and the other one is older than Nobunaga.

As many fans demand, I strongly support the idea of Tachibana Ginchiyo. Now that you screwed over one of the most admirable wives in the history of japan, you should at least give credit to a real female daimyō. We allready scratched Gracia and ChaCha now, two of the best choices for a Sekigahara setting.

Don´t screw over the last possible choice. Or do you have a better idea Koba? Oh god, I can allready see Tomoe Gozen in hot pants, wearing a Cowboy hat and a bikini fighting with a Hula hoop and a Yo-Yo.

As much as I like Motochika I was a litle disappointed with his video -_- . I have enjoyed all the other one's, even Tsuru's, but I did'nt feel it in his. Maybe because I was'nt expecting his opponent to be Masamune, I dunno  .
