Sengoku BASARA 3 (in NA: SB Samurai Heroes); Out in 2010 - PS3&Wii Multi!

Oh, I'll be getting the JP Wii ver as soon as possible. I don't know when I'll be doing anything in particular (finished school and looking for a job now) so I might pirate it, but I'd be willing to help any way I can. I'll also be getting my laptop back soon, so I won't be restricted to console browsers soon.

Well, I'm gonna pre-order it off of yes-asia soon. Maybe a few weeks before the game comes out in Japan. So, if there's anything that I notice that you guys haven't said by August 2nd, I'll be contributing whatever I can.


And, I'll be getting the US version first day. But I doubt there will be anything in thre that isn't in the JP version.

I am going to end up with 4 versions of the game. I'm buying the Asian Wii version and my roomie is getting the Asian PS3 version, then when it comes out in English I will prob get both the Wii and PS3 version to support the series in the US. I will prob end up downloading the Wii version as well, just to play it asap while I wait for my package to arrive, so I'll have it around launch day (maybe before if it leaks early like I'm hoping lol) but unfortunately I can't help with translation or whatnot since I no 0 Japanese.

PS3 Asian (JP Lang) release for me, courtesy of PA. If things according to how things usually operate, PA and other HK-based retailers like it should likely have the game by 26/27th. If things go well, I should have the game by possibly the 29th or 30th. :hehe:

I'm also importing Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki for PSP as well. That should be a very fun time, once that game arrives... ^___^

Glad everyone enjoyed the Questions :)

I was also happy to get a glimpse of everyone's interests and who they are looking forward to playing as in the new game.

Hondam, I believe I will be taking the first or second week of August off of work, so I'll be getting a ton of play time in and will gladly help with whatever I can despite my lack of Japanese language knowledge. But things like a review, strategies, skill lists or whatever is needed, I'll be sure to help out.

Edit: Here is some Wii co-op, Masamune and Hondam. Nothing really new, but it seems kinda light on the enemy count. Could be a stage/demo/Wii specific issue, but who knows. Hopefully come the full version two players will be swarmed by thugs to beat down

Yeah, I'm hoping they're still working on that. It was one of the main things I hated about 2P in SB2H and turned me off.

The Yukimura cam footage on the Wii also had some "ghosting" (enemies popping up out of thin air due to the game engine rendering a ton of stuff at once). Adding in Co-op, rendering twice as much stuff at once, I guess it would be expected; it was like that in Heroes too, me and my friend only really being able to see the enemies directly in front of us whenever we came across a larger mob.

In regards to the walking thing (yes, I'm sure we're past that now :P )
I meant such as where Masamune gets knocked down, and Yukimura sort of slowly strafes around. I know the regular mooks did this in earliar games, but I don't recall unique characters doing such a thing (Hisahide doesn't count on that front).

Anyway, I have the JP version pre-ordered on Play-Asia, and I hope that the shipping time isn't as long as the last thing I ordered, which took about 2 weeks. I'd like to play it a bit before I head off to Anime Evolution in Vancouver. My costume arrived faster than my assorted Basara goodies (manga volume, 2 OneCoin figures (Motonari and Oichi!!!), and a Kanetsugu helm stamper)!
That seems odd since the shipping for my costume was free...

I'm positive they were only talking about the Demo that was released only as an in-store kiosk in Japan, not something downloadable or even disc based that any of us could get our hands on. Believe me, when there is a demo available, you'll know it if you come to this board.

Yeah, that is definitely true. I totally forgot about the Kiosk demo when I typed that.

I'm getting out of school tomorrow :lol: Hopefully, we get a surprise update on the site!

I've actually got two quick questions-

1. Was it stated anywhere that, because of its capabilities, the Ps3 would feature more mobs on the screen at any given time than the Wii?

2. I haven't been paying much attention. Does Honda ever use his mock up funnels to attack?

I've actually got two quick questions-

2. I haven't been paying much attention. Does Honda ever use his mock up funnels to attack?
#1:nope,no statement that says something to that effect so far,Wii is not PS2 and this is not DW6,its safe to say that the nightmare of "almost zero mobs" might just leave us behind.......

#2:hondam have several uses for his funnels

1.auto attack enemies when hondam himself uses his S string
2.forms nu hondam's pyramid barrier when using his drill charge
3.fires a laser downwards circling hondam and then returns to the backpack(like a shorter version of funnel SP attacks by sazabi or its clones in GM2)

i dunno if there's a new use for it in SB3 yet,the new thunder summon skill doesnt seem to utilize funnels

also:another identity change?are you evading your old enemies when you're still a blind assassin from nepal? :facepalm:

That gameplay is from the English version of the Mitsunari character video (the one from Captivate 2010). It is at the end of the video when Mitsunari does an insane combo on Ieyasu.

No, there is no confirmed date yet, Jsun was told by Capcom reps that they are looking at sometime Sept/Oct. They are aiming to release it in line with the anime I believe he said.

Speaking of which, I think the anime is officially going to be released in the US on Sept 28, so maybe the game is dropping the same day? If so, then it is coming out the exact same day as SW3, interesting to say the least...


Side Note: I haven't watched a really good anime in a while, but I can't stop watching Durarara (soooo goooood :D )

Sites been updated. There's a new section which has combo vids for Ieyasu (Seen already) and Mitsunari (Uses the same combo that was shown in the English vid) and screens for everyone else.

I wished someone would have told me about a playable demo sooner. I would have definitely asked about that. Anyways, it seems the Capcom reps are just saying it's Fall 2010, but I was the only one who seemed to get an actual answer for when the game will release. I did ask if it would release at the same time as SW3 on Sept. 27th and the rep quickly gave me an answer saying that the game is different than SW3 and how it will release around the same time as the anime.

Hmm, there is still no time up for when Kotaro's video will hit. And this may mean nothing at all, but the new page of combo vids has 8 characters on the page, which means it could be two clean pages of 8 each = 16. I'd say it doesn't mean a thing, but it looks like every page on the official site seems to convey a nice even 16 character roster...

^ It's a page describing the unique abilities or each and having an accompanying video to showcase how they're applied in actual combat, though we only have those 2 vids for now they'll probably add in the others over time.

And it's updates like these that make me wonder why they didn't give us this info over the long ass months of literally getting nothing an opted to just squeeze them in randomly in the final month.. :uh:

Oojin- Tadakatsu used them a lot as a CPU in SB2H, almost to the point of annoyance. Don't know if they've been tweaked in this game yet when playing as him though, but hopefully they have to make them more practical. They were good and all but paled in comparison to how destructive funnels SHOULD be.

I actually looked up some videos of how Honda fought in 2H, and...ah...well...yeah...you summed it up. It looked rather annoying.
I quiet like the method that was applied to various mobile suits in Koei's Gundam Musou games.
The funnels are released and have their own separate health bars.
Freely acting, hovering, shooting, pestering little buggers.
Some enemies made good use of them, other bosses used them as their only absurdly annoying defense...
*Shrug*

I hope we get to see how he acts on higher difficulties...
There's no point in having an extremely strong warrior like Honda in a game if he's not gonna put up any fight when under Cpu control.

At least give us a demo to ease the lameness of those updates.

Well, 4 updates to go. We still have one character and 2 Gameplay videos open.

C´mon CAPCOM, please don´t make us suffer so shortly before the release...you´ve done that in the worst ways possible allready :facepalm:
