Is it normal for the flow of information to slow down just before a game is released? Because I would have though it would be the opposite.
Common sense says that the last couple of months should be full-on info explosions, but SB has always done the exact opposite for every game. The last month or two of updates for 3 is essentially what we've always got for other games in their last month- couple of updates regarding mechanics, some new skill videos, and just promotional things.

Difference between SB3 and the other games though was that the past games were almost always on a steady flow of juicy information prior to the last months. STAGES, more story details, relationship charts, every character getting a gameplay video much earlier, etc etc.

Really, I'm just upset about the lack of stage info. We've literally gotten nothing except what we've seen from the few videos...

Went to the Anime Expo today and saw a few SB related things. They only had the Motochika and Motonari figures for sale. No Masamune or Yukimura :(

VICTORY!!!
And they only had about fives minutes of screen time in the anime too. :shifty: They just shed awesomeness.

Anyway, I can't wait to see who the new character may be, but it was only rumoured to be in famitsu, correct? Only confirmed in Jump. So what day does Jump come out?

So what the hell? No online co-op? I thought this was announced to have online co-op back when the game was announced?

Initially that was the plan for Koba and crew, however it was scrapped. I can't remeber exactly why it was, but im pretty sure he said why, I just can't remember. lol

I think Mags is gonna be my favorite character in this game. She is my (replacement) for Nouhime, until she returns.

Wait a second, which booths were you at? I might've seen you then cause I work for Anime Jungle and I've been working the convention all week. I'm only missing out for the last day cause they need people at the store.

And there were Masamune and Yukimura revoltechs for sale. I found them at the ABCToy4Me booth for 28 bucks.

R U SERIOUS? I was at the Anime Jungle booth today and asked if you guys had them. Got a business card instead. It might have been you. I was wearing a black IGN t-shirt with red asteroids on it. Also sideburns.

Those cosplayers were great, especially Keiji, Kenshin and Nobunaga.

I agree I would appreciate a bit more general information about the stages, the Drama Emaki mode, the relationship etc etc. All the other SB game websites had that sort of thing *sigh*

You asked a girl first, and then a guy came and explained the lack of Basara right? That was definitely me then. My volunteer workers are the least approachable when it came to figures so I tend to man that side of the booth.

But like I mentioned earlier, our distributor for some stupid reason skipped over the Basara Revoltech's vol. 1 so we never got ahold of Masamune and Yukimura. Anybody else who had Masamune and Yukimura imported it themselves instead of buying wholesale through AAA Anime.

Hmm.... Sorry I didn't tell about this earlier, but better now than never else the situation will get even worse.

The 2ch-ers discovered that the latest information described in Jump was the information on Drama mode... so they don't put much expectation on this Jump preview because there could be a possibility the 'new character' turns out to be the already known Drama Generals.

Yeah, we all should already know how Koba likes to mind**** people, so I won't be surprised at all if this happens. But I suppose some of you guys would be more disappointed than the 2ch-ers... so sorry, I haven't managed to post this earlier. This is already in 2ch since a couple of days ago...

Well, let's see what happens. And if nothing else, there's always the chance that Famitsu might have a little something of its own...

It may be disappointing if we don't get the character reveal this week, but it's not like we aren't getting the character at all. We know it is a definite, so it is just a matter of time.

Oh god! :o I so hope that doesn't turn out to be the case. I don't think Koba would do that to us, or at least I'd hope he wouldn't. Well...thanks for the info anyways BK.

Why do I have the feeling it will go like this :

Koba :

"Introducing the last character...Miyamoto Musashi!Along with Sasaki Kojiro as a UNPC villain for Musashi! Also no Hisahide,EVER AGAIN!I hate those who troll better than me!" :OMG:

Just a gut feeling... :kurokan: along with a bit of a joke. ^_^

In all seriousnes though,we should consider the Samurai warriors 2 route as an option[for Musashi at least, should he be in].

Hmmm...well, itīs only around one month till the game comes out and if we donīt get a character this week, whatever...one more character isnīt going to blast away the NPCs anyway and weīll get him sooner or later as RZ said.

SB3 will be good even without another character (though it really doesnīt hurt) and will finally be perfected around next year (I hope...1 and a half year wait for the expansion, is a bit long, but I wouldnīt be able to change it. Waited over 5 years for Twisted Metal and over...donīt know, 10 years for a FFVII remake?....itīs still not here :kurokan: )

So Iīm more excited about the second season of the anime, coming out on the 11th (this Sunday), since there is no One Piece this week thanks to the World Cup finale.

So Iīll focus on the thing I know itīs coming out. I hope itīll be better than the first season (again, wasnīt bad, but it was mainly a Masa/Yuki festival -_- )

Since they got ditched in SB3 (at least a bit...or a lot, it depends) I have high hopes for season 2

@Mibu: I don't think we're getting another NPC as much as I would like Kojiro. Just cause the layout on the site is all set up for perfectly for one more add, which is something I think RZ was talking about awhile ago.

@DK: Holland is gonna win. :hehe:

Speaking of the anime did they ever say how much episodes they'll have this time? I really hope it isnt some ridiculous number like 12- you just can't have a good story in that small time frame, if only because of how much characters the show has.

Oh...damn.And I guess he won't be in those generic NPCs like Muteki and the rest.Oh,well.Thanks.

PS : Damn you,perfectly layouted site.Damn you I say.

Also don't worry Hondam. The anime isn't 12 episodes.Instead it has the unbelievably awesome, lucky and profound number 13...of episodes.Yeah...and the rest.Expect some characters to get killed, other ignored etc.You know the drill.

The first anime was 13 episodes too. I wonder if this means they'll go the same way as last season and have the final episode straight to DVD?

I know they don't really seem to care a great deal about the anime, it's more promotional material than anything, but I hope they make a good job of it...

13 episodes CAN be good enough to tell a story, it just really depends on if they really want to tell one this time.

I mean, last time basically boiled down to "Sup, *****s, I'm Oda mutha****ing Nobunaga and me and my gang of pimps are gonna straight stomp on all your collective asses! Y'all bad enough dudes to try and stop me!?" :hehe:

If season 2 basically boils down to more of the same, just with Hanbei and Hideyoshi this tiime, then well, it is what it is all over again.

Hmmm...well, they made a second season, so itīs:

A) It had a promotional effect and during the time and a bit after the first season, merchandise, as well as the games and the anime DVDs sold very good

B) It was so popular during itīs air time, that they just had to make a second season (just like Claymore, who didnīt want to make a second season, but thanks to so many fans and watch-statistics, theyīll make one and release it probably end of this year)

But I guess as Koen said, itīs probably the first one.
But I donīt think they think of it as something like a PR gimmick.

Of course some were buying a game or some figurines thanks to the SB anime, but so might be for the Renbu manga, the school manga, the musical or whatever they have over there., (maybe the political campaign Masamune poster :ph43r: )

I guess itīs a mix of both, since it found quite a fanbase over there (also anime only, for now, since there wasnīt a next gen back then)

I hope they really realized that and put a lot of effort in it.
And I hope for a third season (with the SB3 Sekigahara story or maybe some "fun episodes", like One Piece. The potential is there and itīs great to give characters like Zabii a chance again  )

@Hondam:
German might take it, since they play pretty well...BUT DAMN THEM, GO ORANJES
