Looks like everyone's turning to a better side for Nobunaga. Count me still on the dislike side, untill I've seen proof on how those skills work. In SB2, I'm not impressed by his "Charge Souls and Fire". It deals so few damage, hardly puts up combo's, and you're just better off ignoring that skill.

He's still an eyesore, IMO.

YES! Were finally past this angsty "Nobunaga ruins this game" bullshyte!

Holy crap, Nobunbaga's new skills sound completely epic. Silly people who said he would be half-assed.

Your comments really donīt help, Lawliet. Insults are allways a good way, to convince people they were wrong

Again, I was a "Balder" back then. Liked the Demon King, but got a kick in the nuts cause a lot of others got cut because of Storyīs sake and now they threw the story overboard and made a Jesus-no-jutsu and brought back the second character.

Itīs not the character with loathed, it was the idea of all the sacrifices being spit on by bear-wrestling superstar Kobayashi.

Damnit. *Kicks a stone*

Thought I had you there :sly:

So this means weīll get a Famitsu scan of the great King too, ainīt it?

Maybe "Gomitsu" finally uses the paper itīs printed on for something worthwhile.

For example telling us a bit about his origin (I donīt suppose Nobunaga is there from the beginning...since he wants to wreak havoc on Sekigahara, heīs probably resurrected around the time for the battle)

Skills really don't mean anything to me  . They can be earth-shatteringly cool but it doesn't really matter, so long as the character is done well and their incluson can be justified (unlike this situation), then it wouldn't have really mattered to me wether his skills were epic or and exact recycle from the previous game.

Sounds great, very good news.

So I take it the blurb about Emaki at the bottom isn't new information? That's too bad, I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

From the info thread-

Quote:

Ieyasu: Holding the attack or skill button will charge his attacks/skills, making them stronger.

Mitsunari: Pressing the (attack) button with the right timing at the end of his skills makes him do a follow-up strike in ANY direction (even upwards), with his high-speed movement called Setsuna.

Masamune: The offensive 6-swords stance gives him more attack power and changes his skills too.

Yukimura: Pressing the (attack) button with the right timing at the end of his skills has him perform a forward lunge with his spear.

Maggie: Depending on which skill used, her basic attack string will change accordingly.

Tsuru: She has many skills that let her control the distance between her and the enemies. Her attacks deal more damage at a specific distance.

Kanbei: His skills leave him open for a certain time after ending, but pressing the dodge button with the right timing negates this opening.

Yoshitsugu: Keeping the (attack) button pressed lets him apply a mark to the enemies, and his skills thus acquire homing properties.

We don't know all the others just yet but we can assume some from the screenshots on Korean website (unless someone can translate the blurbs on the pages)-

Motonari: Obviously something to do with summoning foot soldiers and traps, but your guess is as good as mine.

Kotaro: Most likely his aerial comboing abilities

Tadakatsu: Attack Modes?

Motochika: The anchor and chain being able to pull in enemies

But hell, no idea really. Most of them are no different than just regular skills so eh. Guess we just have to wait for actual confirmation.

Thanks Hondam and DK. I checked the info thread but made the post because I thought all had been revealed and didn't understand some of them when looking at the Korean site :P .

Also thanks NDY for the scan and info. Nobunaga new stuff sounds amazing! I am perfectly content with him being in the game now  .

That wasn't a direct insult towards anyone DK. Don't jump the gun.

---

Much thanks for the find NDY. Nobunaga looks insane, loving the new improvements to Enrai. Hopefully they actually make good use of the shotgun this time and have a lot more skills revolving around it. It was ridiculously stupid that you could play without ever needing it in the past games.

I'm wondering about the Emaki thing too DJ. Hopefully we get a bigger shot of it to see if there is anything new.

And for some reason Nobu looks more epic than ever his design for 3...can't really explain why. He just does.

Hey, it's not me becoming lazy, it's because you're still ecstatic about the game that you're still eager to search for every little detail about the game until now. :meantongue:

Besides, I thought I had told you already that my hype for the game has been reduced to 1 thanks to the deal-breaking decision they've made (you should know already what I'm talking about), and it will become 0 or even negative as the overseas version release is coming closer. Really, if it weren't for that, I would still have the same excitement level as you by now. :ph43r:

Anyway, nice find on the Dengeki scan. I'm just going to sleep right now to prepare for the usual Famitsu leak time. We will have Famitsu's review score for granted, and most likely it will have the Devil King too, although don't put too much hope on scans since apparently the situation there is getting way stricter than before.

Well, Nobunaga sounds WAY OP. But, he is the final boss dude. So I guess that's okay. he does sound awesome though.

Well, unless Koba dosen't want Yakuza at his door, he should probably put Hisahide in the HEROES expansion.

So, what was the 75 for, NDY? Thank you for the find, btw. Where is BK?

EDIT: Oh, BK, you're back! Anyway, um, I hope Famitsu gives it a great score. I guess there the ones that most people would trust, right?

Maybe itīs the shining HD graphics or the fact that he now officially is the Demon King who died and returned from hell, packing 6 bloodthirsty and overly mighty Demons with him?

Could be that.

Also Hondam, no one jumped gun...who would do something like that

No problem, AdawgDaFAB. Though we didnīt really help you much, since we donīt know more than we allready knew

Though I guess Hondamīs and my guesses might be pretty accurate...will probably be something like what we said in most cases...looking at Yukimuraīs poor trait...

Finally caught up on the tl;dr

Well, Nobunaga does look pretty cool. And I guess I am one of the few who actually cares about the plot, but if they do it well (Like Nobunaga and Tenkai planned for all this to happen, and Mitsuhide's insanity was invoked or released for this purpose, as an example) then that'd be kinda cool.

Yeah looking at the already known stuff + you two's predictions and the korean site pics gives a good idea of things.

Either way, if it isn't all revealed on the site / famitsu info this week a bunch of us will have the game next week so all will be known soon hehehe.

^ Hard to believe it's only 8 more days now..

And oh yeah, the Dengeki review. Does anyone know what the score categories are? I'd assume they're the exact same as Famitsu's but I've never read too much of them so I dunno. Maybe getting a scan of it would be asking for too much.

Hondam, they are the same categories, just that the numbers are different. Famitsu uses single digit numbers, whereas Dengeki uses two digit numbers.

For example:
Dengeki score
[PS3] Biohazard 5 85 85 85 85

Famitsu score
[PS3] Biohazard 5 10 10 9 9

Hereīs a translated Dengeki Review of Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland just so you can make yourself a bit of a picture on how Dengeki reviews and their score system

Spoiler: click to toggle

But japanese magazines, arenīt the most critical ones -_-

Iīm more excited about some western magazines, since they take it more serious in giving out scores. (at least those that arenīt dependent on online-bribes/advertisments for their sites, eh, Gametrailers/IGN/Gamespot?)

Iīm talking about "country intern magazines" like our Consol.at

I rely on their scores since around 6 years and Iīve never been dissapointed. Allways objective and really well written

This always had me a bit concerned; nobody really talks about the Wii version when they talk about this game. All the videos are of the PS3 version of the game. All the screenshots are of the PS3 version of the game. All the news is of the PS3 version of the game.

I mean, sure, if you want to promote something, you do put your best foot forward and all, but I can't recall seeing much of anything about the Wii version other than it's supposed to be released for it.

Hmmm...as far as our SB3 demo tester reviews go, they all said the Wii version is identical.

Only the graphics get a huge boost thanks to the HD possibilities and there are more grunts on the screen.

But all in all, they kept their word with having the same in the Wii version as in the PS3 version (literally, seeing as a Blue Ray wouldīve easily contained the dual audio we miss now <_< )

Nice job finding the scan NDY. Not much to really say that already hasn't been said. It looks like Nobu got buffed, but I'm more anxious to see if he actually does something significant in the plot. The generic description of his story kinda put me down, but I'm quite looking foward to see his army of the damned. Shame though, you'd expect him to at least bring back his waifu and Ranmaru, along with the thousands of Oda generics...

Also, its hard to believe BK's depressing enthusiasm. Your telling me you aren't a little excited to play a reworked Aniki, BK? :hehe:

And yeah, trust the very last batch to be the one to make DK happy

DK: I'm familiar with japanese reviews and the points, I was just wondering if the categories Dengeki scores were the same as those in Famitsu. Thanks though.

Ran is running around with his own waifu up in Hokkaido if you ask me. As for Nouh...she just couldn't handle Chairman Maou. In life or death.

Leaving the emotion switching fest on Oda, I'd like to ask when the characters list on the Main Site is getting editted? It hasn't been done since Mogami. Would it not be time, especially since the last character is revealed, to update it to fully put them all on display?

Well, I imagine it would be dificult to stab yourself, if your sword is pointed in the wrong direction. :kurokan: That is his ending pose, look at his video, and for a split second you'll see that, he sheathed his sword sideways, it's not actually pointed at him, even though it looks like it. ;)
