Oh my... Yoshitsugu's movement technique... Yoshiaki's voice... Kanetsugu's invincibility... and Motonari's mistreatment of his own men... I do say, I rather liked this update... However, I must agree... I don't know why, but I'd always seen Fr- I mean Kenshin as the type of man to be voiced by... Oh... I don't know... Linda Young, perhaps? (That's Frieza for you people who've only seen DBZ...) |

Ugh, my hype level is through the roof, I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas... Glad to hear your positive first hand account of Ieyasu, Hondam, he definitely looks insanely fun. I guess most people are bored already due to his overexposure however... |

On the subject of Ieyasu, while he's not among my favorites (design doesn't really appeal to me) I am still looking forward to try him out. Simply put, the dude punches. A lot. That's reason enough for me to want to try him out. In all seriousness, the Hyakuretsu Ken-esque technique is a favorite of mine, so a character who uses it will find my support. On a overall story note, like MH mentioned, before the prospect of Yoshitsugu manipulating Oichi to channel Nobunaga from the underworld to the world of the living, do you think that at some point in the story, Yoshitsugu will be the Arkham to Mitsunari's Vergil, leaving the later in order to fulfill his own agenda, joining with the Demon King? Thus, Mitsunari sees the error of his ways and all posterboys join forces and rush towards the Big Bad, enveloped in their battle auras color-coded for conveniency. And will Oichi be the Damsel in Distress or the Broken Cutie surrendered to Evil? Cheesy as hell, but the omnipotent Nobunaga suggests that it will take a lot to go down. |

Can't join the bandwagon since i will play everyone equally the first time, will only make a priority list after i play all of them at least once,at this point, everyone is equally interesting/awesome....... Battle Styles recap, based on NDY's explanation Keiji: same as SB2 (maybe powered up?), with Koi no Kakehiki (Love Tactics) you can cancel attacks/rolls/etc into it, and it will change every time. -i thought being drunk was the powerup>.<,maybe his moveset will change a bit(more unpredictability/random move order for love tactics?) Motochika: Isshoku gains multi-hit properties after level up. -with hanbei gone, aniki gains the "get over here" attack.....wonderful,does it still nets money from the enemies?IIRC i didnt see raining coins after the attack on vids that shows aniki using it... Yoshihiro: Holding down the attack button lets him walk around with his sword raised. You can then strike the enemies with the timing you prefer. -i thought so,you can't normally walk in SB,the mystery from the gameplay vid is solved and makes the Tosa legend THAT much interesting to play, walking slow also reminds me of SFIII's makoto, perhaps the rindokan style was inspired by jigenryuu, they're from the same place after all>.< Kotaro: as long as you can keep hitting enemies, his skills will keep him airborne forever -which is good for a breather, since you have more ways to hit an enemy aside from S string>airdash loop, which numbs your fingers after a while...
whoops, already answered by UL,but alas, there are 3 main ways to play keiji(based on the SB2/H version) 1.the one when not using love tactics, keiji plays a bit like a toned down masa~yuki, you can either pummel enemies with fast moving juggle attacks or his hard hitting charged skills, generic stuff 2.the one with love tactics, you don't even needs any other skills when you got this one, fill the 2nd(and 3rd,in SB3) slot with LOL inducing skills, like the monkey summon....... 3.the one where you do nothing but dance all day in the beginning of the stage and then start wiping floor on the whole map using just ONE BASARA attack.........boring,time consuming, and yet extremely amusing at the same time interestingly, keiji's fighting style in SBX is also a unique one, most of his attacks causes wallbounce which makes his combos looked like he's playing a human pinball/squash when you done it right........ I honestly think Yoshitsugu's got much bigger plans for Nobunaga... I mean, he wants to see everyone suffer... I'm not particularly sure how, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Ol' Leper had some sneaky energy consuming powers... - Also, thanks Master. Wasn't too positive on what Yoshihiro was doing with his sword raised. o_- Edited by Oojin, Fri Jul 23, 2010 1:26 am.

er..., i don't think so,the SB demon king is capable of many things, but one of the several things that the can't do is suffer.....he can feel pain,he can get pissed off,he can even die(at some point) but he cannot suffer mentally (like what happened after matsunaga did a humiliation conga to hideyoshi) or physically (he'll take damage, that's all,and then he's out to kill joo) if the mummy boy tried to do something funny to him he'll just get pissed off and murder the guy......that said i think yoshitsugu is just letting nobunaga loose on earth again,i don't think even having oichi in his hands can do much to control the demon king.... Mmm... I see your point... And this new Demonized Nobunaga is more than likely far more capable than his previous...previouses...previousi? ... The last few versions. - . - - Also, so does this mean that the 'ugly' man that was seen in that one video awhile ago was Nobunaga behind Oichi? (Sorry if some of you don't know what I'm talking about. I can't remember it quite myself. ^ ^; ) Edited by Oojin, Fri Jul 23, 2010 1:57 am.

For the importers out there, where are you guys ordering from? I'm thinking of PlayAsia I got SB2H from them and do most of my importing with them, and they seem to be the cheapest so far (49.95 USD). But are any sites offering preorder bonuses or anything? |

No, that ugly guy was just a generic. It was obviously not Nobunaga and if it was, people would have noticed and there would have been an uproar |

Um, YesAsia. Look at the Asian version for that. And, most people's experiences with YesAsia have been not so great, from what I've heard. But, I've never used them, so I don't know. That IGN article is so poorly written. I hate how this game just gets called a Dynasty Warriors clone over and over again. What an idiot. He doesn't know that there's fighting styles, 3 skills. And attacks like BASARA drive and BASARA attack. And then there's air combat, and an air attack. And horses. And different types of enemies. And diverse characters. And stylish looking attacks. All of those skills don't involve mashing square. In fact, that's only the character's S-string. Really getting sick of this. If DW or SW never came out, a GREAT hack n' slash game wouldn't be getting bashed for something it isn't. I really hope this game gets great review scores, and surprises people. Really, this game has gotta be one of my favorite games of all time. DMC is being postponed, and COD is the only shooter I play. This game is AWESOME! Huh. I was wrong. Thank you. Knowledge is power afterall. I see I was wrong with Yoshiaki too; no ice during his Basara attack. @IGN Article Aside from the dude's "interest" in Magoichi, nothing interesting about the article. From the average gamer's perspective: "blah blah Dynasty Warriors blah blah BEWBAGE blah blah RAWKET LAWNCHAIRS blah blah feels dated kthnxbi." Of course, never expected the major sites to take an objective eye to games like this. Smaller gaming sites and blogs like Destructoid (the reviews editor is a DW fan, chaos erupted when he gave DWSF an 8.5 ) and Siliconera are at least giving the game a chance. Also, I checked the japanese PS store this morning and got super hyped up when I saw "BASARA" up in the "What's New" list, but it was just the gameplay and drama emaki PV we got ages ago... That stuff about Yoshitsugu's grand scheme is very intriguing, and definitely makes sense now. Though I wonder, what was going on between Yoshi and Motonari? Is the Child of the Sun in on the necromancing, or is he using Yoshitsugu for his own goals? And would Tenkai get himself involved in his slain lord's resurrection (since he's with Kobayakawa, thus the connection to the Mori)?... Oh dammit, this is becoming unbearable! GIMME ALREADY!!!! You could still be right. He didn't show any darkness element in his BASARA in the English video, so it's possible they could have changed it later on/ in the SH version. |

I was interested in writing up a preview piece for IGN back during E3 for the game, but I was told the chances of an LA editor getting approval from the game guys in San Francisco were really slim. Anyways, don't expect there to be any "great" reviews for the game in the West. Just branding it as a DW-clone alone is already destroying the game's integrity. |

I would, if there was anything else worthwhile. The only SB3 related media on the JPSN I can remember is: -one of the TGS showcase videos from last year; had the first character trailer featuring Masa/Yuki, Ieyasu and Mitsunari - The E3 japanese recap video that showed about 10 seconds of gameplay from Samurai Heroes -the Gameplay/Play Mode PV that was just put up. IIRC there are no plans for DLC. Also, no internet? That sucks. I feel for you. |

Haha! Great to see I'm not the only one who did this Still, it was great to finally see SB3 on my HDTV. Now I more or less know what to expect from the graffox.
I wouldn't count that out just yet. In the Capcom Skylounge on PS Home, for the SB3 section there's a small 'stand' that lets you access items in the Playstation Store. The other games that are already there also have these, and [IIRC] all they allow you to download are the game DLCs. Don't quote me on that though, demos might be in there too. Still though, seems pointless to set that up just for a demo, so I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a SFIV and threw alternate costumes up there. I wouldn't expect characters or stages though. |

Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? Mitsunari hurting his allies? Sorry if I'm wrong, I still haven't gotten glasses, so some things are a little blurry. Would be nice to add him in with Motonari and Mitsuhide as ruthless bastards that don't give a damn about who they kill. |
