@

Well, it depends on: Have you played Sengoku BASARA 2, as well as SB2:Heroes? What exactly do you mean, gameplay features, characters or everything?

Try the SB3 Info Thread there is allmost everything we know about the game in it. If you have any other questions, you are more than welcome to ask them, we´ll try to answer them as accuarte and fast as possible. ^_^
Yes, in fact I have the pack Sengoku Basara 1 and 2, the heroes I have it for Wii and also the psp, for me the best is 2, and heroes.

I mean in general, gameplay, specials (8 max in SB 2), new moves, game modes, duration, maximum level, etc ...

Thanks

"Basara" refers to someone who does weird, crazy, out of the ordinary things. People who dressed flashily and behaved in particular ways, defying ordinary rules of behavior. Stylish is not a wrong translation, but it is very reductive.

Hana no Keiji's Maeda Keiji is a perfect example.

I'm hoping that Musashi might be a surprise character like Motonari in SW3, where no info talks about him but yet he appears in the final version of the game. Because so far Musashi is the only guy who everyone thought was suppose to be in the game and Hisahide has been confirmed not in.

Oh My God!! That all sounds EPIC!!! (sorry for spam :XD )

But thanks Matsunaga Hisahide.. I havent been this excited in a game in months or even years :XD ...

As for this Npc buisness... Aslong as the combat system and story is top notch then i dont care how few characters are playable... Samurai/Dynasty Warriors may have a truck load of characters but they are nothing like these... :P

- There´s the Emaki mode, which is a mix between story mode and unification mode. You have different paths to choose from and there are four different ways a story can go. From the looks there is one "serious" ending and three "what if" scenarios.
Free mode will probably return and 2 Player Co-Op offline play is back as well.
Other modes seem unlikely to make a return.
But seeing as (source Famitsu) one story takes around 2 hours to finish (just finishing it, you still can explore every path and 100% every story) with 16 characters that makes allready for 32 hours of gameplay.
Like I said earlier, free mode is clearly visible in the main menu on that video UL posted a few pages back. So I doubt they'd have this mode only available in a demo (presuming that wasn't in fact the final version of the game they were playing, which is entirely possible)

@ Matsunaga Hisahide : Hey DK  ,I mean MH  !Didn't know you changed your name! And a mighty fine sig there.Waiting for a PSP port too. :woot:

@ NDY : Thanks for the correct...translation/meaning of the word ^_^ .I picked it from wiki so I expected it to be a bit...half...you know! Now I know why Macross 7's main character is named that way <_< ...and why M7 is like that  .

DJ- I'm positive that was indeed the final version of the game. In the Floor Demos that have been in Japan (and Im sure the ones circulating at the US events too) there was no menu or option to look around. You simply started at the character select screen and picked 1 of 2 stages. In the video we had the Emaki options, weapon select, support character select, etc.

No problem Joetri :P

Well, of course there´s allways the possibility that Musashi is playable (FMO character - Free mode only) seeing as he was the surpirse character last time and he wouldn´t hurt any rule nor require much work seeing as he doesn´t "need" a story.

If he really is in, I hope he is a "more skilled" character this time. Two skills isn´t enough after being playable in three games -_-

But seriously, just look at my sig. Doesn´t look bad.
Even if Musashi isn´t playable anymore, what´s there, is there.

The HEROES expansion will come and hopefully loads of characters.
I still hope they´ll make a PSP port were ALL the characters return.

A "Fun BASARA" so to say, with short fun stories and again, everyone playable. Seeing as the PSP is capable of PS2 graphics (sometimes even better looking :OMG: ) I wouldn´t mind having Hisahide having his debut "on the go".

EDIT:

@Mibu Kyoshiro:
I´ll keep that name untill Hisahide is playable :ph43r:

BTW Off-Topic, One Piece Movie 10 "Strong World" is finally subbed.

True about Musashi.Just swinging his swords may be funny but he needs more skills.Hell they could take RGG Kenzan as an example for more Musashi skills.

And I'm 100% at the BASARA PSP port[again saying that] and the only question about Heroes would be which characters get to be playable from the UNPCS[MUTEKI category not the cut charcters or the new NPC...Mogami and Gang] if at all.

And with that the blazing question is what will your name be next year? :ph43r:

PS : War Dance + Super Armour?Oh yeah! And it seems Nobu only gets the twin shotguns only when his Stand activates and takes his sword. The rest[the other two the site has] seems to be some uber powered skills from before. The cape flap and the shotgun shot.

Also I remember only several character quirks. Can someone please list them all that we have up until now?

Here's what I know/have :

Date Masamune : Masamune's S-string and skills change completely when he enters Rokushushoryu making him a character with two S-strings and six skills during the battle.

Kuroda Kanbei : KuroKan is a very slow character but with the correct timing at the end of his skills or his combos in generals,KuroKan can avoid the drawback of his speed by guard-cancelling.That way he won't be wide open at the end of his attacks.

Fuuma Kotaro : Fuuma is the only character that can execute his whole ground repertouar of skills and s-string in the air as well.He along with Masamune, are the characters that have two s-strings and six skills during combat.

Tsuruhime : Tsuruhime's attacks deal maximum damage at the ideal distance.

Saika/Saiga Magoichi : Maggie's S-string changes depending on the last skill she used.So far three different S-strings have been confirmed.[Default with gun, submachine gun and shotgun s-strings.]

Ishida Mitsunari : Ishida can add an extra hit at the end of his skills and s-string by pressing square at the right time. It's like Frieza's splitting wave if I'm not mistaken at the end of his vid at the section of the site.

Tokugawa Ieyasu : Ieyasu can charge his S-string making his blows more powerfull and sometimes resulting in a different s-string for more different combos.Try to experiment with all the possible combos.

Otani Yoshi-tsugu : It seems our mummy man can "mark" soldiers so that his balls-er...orbs will hit their targets head on.

I remember two meanings, and IIRC, it came from this forum before Heroes was released but after SB2. The first one I remember was indeed "Insanity" or something along those lines. The second was...very different. I vaguely remember someone saying "buffalo" was a possible second meaning for it, although the reasoning for that escapes me.

But I could never forget "Age of Warring States+Insanity"...so when I hear 'stylish war' I just want to facepalm.

Also, Nobunaga has a Stand? Badass. Toki wo tomare! Mudadadada!

@Mibu-

Masamune- 6 Sword Style, augments certain skills in to ugraded versions.

Ieyasu- Can hold the attack button to charge his hits for more power.

Mitsunari- If used at the right time during attacks he can do a follow-up attack in any direction, which can chain together more skills.

Yukimura- Pressing the attack button at the right time at the end of his skills ill allow him to use a dashing-spear thrust.

Keiji- Basically his Love Tactics skill. Most likely stronger though, can cancel into it from rolls/dodges/s-string/skills.

Yoshitsugu- Can mark enemies, allowing his other specials to have specific targets when used.

Kanbei- Can cancel out of his slow downtime after specials/s-string by dodging at the right moment.

Tsuru- Her skills and attacks do more damage at certain ranges.

Tadakatsu- Not confirmed, but most likely the combination of his different Modes (Attack Mode + Jet Mode)

Motonari- Not confirmed or known. Most likely about his traps and being able to use ally soldiers in attacks.

Mago- Changes attack string based on which gun skill used.

Kotaro- As long as you keep attacking and hitting, he can remain airborne forever. He doesn't get a secondary attack string or secondary skills in air, he can just use his original ones up there.

Motochika- His Isshouku skill can gain multi-hit status.

Yoshihiro- Holding down the attack button can let you hold Yoshi's sword in place, and he can then walk around and attack whenever you want.

Ichi- Not confirmed/known. Probably the Demon Hands being able to hold enemies in place.

Nobunaga- Not confirmed/known. Probably his Rokuma skill which has the demon apparition appear.

I found Kobayashi playing SB3 Demo at Comic-con and being praised very often by the guy who introduces the game.

http://comic-con.gamespot.com/video/6270703/?tag=top_stories%3Btitle%3B10

Pretty interesting to see how he plays.
Wow, Koba kind of sucks, if I'm fair :P Also, I like how Americans/English people can't pronounce the R right

I'm hoping Motochika's english gameplay gets up soon, kind of wondering what voice he'll get. DK's Arslan wasn't that bad for an english voice, all of a sudden... Maybe a little too piraty :hehe:

Is Yoshitsugu really light?

And thunder should be replaced with electricity.

The other ones are probably correct, though. I mean, Yoshitsugu could use light, but it seems so out of place for his character.

REALLY surprised that there's still no trophies list. If the game does get leaked tomorrrow, hopefully someone will post it. The awesome communit here can translate it if they have to.

OMG! A SITE ACTUALLY LIKES THIS GAME! http://www.ps3trophies.org/news/news-635-Sengoku-BASARA-Samurai-Heroes-Captivate-2010-Media-Explosion-Almost-Killed-Us.html

^ But at the same time it works, it gives him a certain duality. All of his specials look like they're light-based anyway.

And on the subject of elements- I keep forgetting to bring this up but when you're going through characters at the select screen it displays a bunch of their stats at the bottom, and one of them shows which element they have. I think we can see it in the video MoM/UL posted a couple pages back. But anyway what I'm getting at is that despite seeing some characters have 2 elements present (whom have all been NPCs) I'm pretty sure the PCs will only have one fixed element.

Something about the elements. It seems that Oyakata-sama's duality of elements in his skills[not overall] is carrying on to Mogami, because wind based he might be,if I saw correctly he used an ice attack on Yoshi during his english video.

And Fuuma needs to be wind.History of the character just like Sasuke. He is a ninja after all.the one out of place is Kasuga but what  shines is something on her,so the element fits her.

So KuroKan is wind it fits him.

One wuestion about the classes : to enter the clashing sequence must three attacks be "nulled" before it start?Or is there another crteria to that?

Also, how's Maggie and Tsuru gonna do this? And how's Kan gonna be clashing?I can hardly imagine him swinging his ball so fast that he cancel the enemy...unless he uses real close combat attacks.

^ It happens if attacks just manage to hit each other at the same time. Not skills, but just basic s-string attacks. There's nothing complicated to it, in fact it almost happens too much.

About Kanbei- He can do it just like everyone else. We see it in his gameplay vid on the official site, though they stop short of going through to the full clash. You bring up a good point about Tsuru though. Not sure how it'll work for her...

well, keiji is better known as a "kabukimono" which means pretty much the same as basara and is a term used more often in describing that back then,of coruse for the general non JP audience nowadays the word could be mistaken for the japanese opera style.....and sengoku KABUKI is not as cool as BASARA

@mibu:the most epic battle involving the demon king had shifted for a while,at first its nobunaga~mitsuhide(SB1),after SB2H appeared its a limbo between nobu~ichi or nobu~nagamasa, but i personally think that nobu~nagamasa tops everything else(the evil laugh contest+dual ZEHI MO NASHI is still a crowning moment of awesome though)

-war dance+super armor? does that mean you cannot be interrupted/cancel the stance while in war dance?if that's the case masamune's PI would be a bit useless if its still in the game....the old war dance does have super armor features, but for 1 hit only IIRC and it cancels war dance......

as for oichi......i thought her special thing is that the lower her HP is,the stronger the hands become......plus moar hp absorb

as for tsuru range quirk....its sounds much like monster hunter's bow/bowgun damage mechanics,i just hope it doesnt apply to maggie's gun and chesto's BFS too(hit the enemy with the center of the GS for max damage!!! :beard: )
