Hmm, let's hope they do as you say....I've got a feeling that it won't go so well...but a character per week would be great. We'd definitely have things to talk about all the time (more or less). Well, if they plan to release the game in spring (God make it be so) they'll have to speed up with the updates, right...? Right...? |

Unbelievable. Seriously? Nothing? Damn, I was really hoping for something today and was thinking how high the chances are we get something... ![]() I mean, what are they going to update the site with now? Perhaps the character trailer from the TGS, but what else? More of the same event shots we've seen too many times? Man, I really had my heart set on Yoshitsugu being revealed T.T Ah well, theres always next week... hopefully. I swear, if we don't get anything next week, I'm going to Japan and punching Kobayashi's wife. Edited by Manta Punk, Tue Sep 29, 2009 5:54 pm.

Ok...it´s getting pretty tense here. But I have to admit Kobayashi is really teasing, not only us, but also the fangirls, waiting for their favourite characters to return... And believe me flameboys(enraged fanboys) are nothing compared to flamegirls(enraged fangirls). Kobayashi, I respect you for what you did so far...but this kind of action, this is what drives us mad. Not only us, here at KW...it´s like the story of Tantalus Allready knowing something, allready expecting it, but when the time comes and you think you finally get it...

I'm actually quite content with the wait. In actuality, it's not like I have a choice...School just started. I agree though, it'd be nice to see at least some sort of update. I would've liked to have seen the profiles for the returning characters (Kojuuro, Sasuke, Motonari, Honda) by now. |

Oh wow, I wonder which magazine it comes from. But so far the interviews are asking the same questions though, like the Sekigahara setting, the revealed characters and promise of new characters, and the console chosen. And this one asks about the reason why PS3 & Wii are chosen. Kobayashi answered that they want to release SB3 on consoles that most Japanese gamers have. ....which makes me wondering now. So who actually decided to translate SB3 to overseas? |

Maybe it was Kobyashi himself that really wanted to give BASARA another try in the west. After all, considering it was basically "his bad", that BASARA was screwed over in the west in the first place, he thought it was worth it to give it another try, a more proper way this time. Any way, all I'm asking for is a release of the game, some where in the Feb-March area. That's all I really want. I can try my best to be patient, a la Ieyasu, until then!

I've been checking the reservation list at work every time I come and, and I am disheartened when I don't see either the SW3 or SB3 posted yet. I'll probably make it my personal goal to advertise both, but probably more so SB3. It needs all the publicity it can get; SW3 should be fine. The more I read about Kobayashi the more I both like and hate him. It's like my reaction to Hideo; I respect the person, but I hate it when they TEASE people and look to be enjoying it. Stop pulling my strings, darn it. XD |

I bet it was Kobayashi...well backed up by CAPCOM. As I´ve said once, they plan to intensify the concentration on NA/EU. Since japan allready is something like a "safe zone", they try out if some of the japan-favourites work out over here too. So far, the "only japanese games" are one after another released over here. I hope it´ll work out. P.S.: It´s a bit off-topic, but: I´ve now started to read Taiko, after finally finishing Musashi (good book, but loooong read ) I´ve asked myself...is there any book about Tokugawa Ieyasu or the Battle of Sekigahara?I´ve found one book about Sekigahara...but it´s only 96 pages long(something like that) and still costs a lot...that´s not worth it. I thought about something similiar too, again, Taiko. Since Taiko features everything from Oda to Toyotomi and Musashi the time after Sekigahara...I´d want a book about exactly the timeline I´m missing, wish is also the mainpoint of BASARA 3...any suggests/ideas?

Kobayashi is like a mob leader working the crowd up into a frenzy! lol Well I guess they didn't want to over "saturate" us with info so soon after TGS... everything in moderation I guess? But of course us hardcore fans already know most of the info they released at TGS ages ago!! Anyway I too would settle for just Motonari, Tadakatsu etc. update, I really want to see some vids of these dudes in action. About the 'westernizaton' of SB3, that's the way of the world now, the Asian market hasn't really changed much or shrunk , it's just the Western markets have absolutely exploded in growth the last decade or so. Since this gen Capcom have been at the forefront of this globalization of it's brands, Capcom almost have no console exclusives these days, it's all about the $$$! I just hope Capcom don't end up selling their souls too, like SE seem to be doing, in order to get western success. |

Yeah, it's weird that they chose to release it overseas, and then Kobayashi says "Basara is centered on the Japanese market". Maybe they saw the anime was pretty successful overall (on the internet too) and after a little research they saw all the complaining about DK (well, it does stand out) and tried a different approach...? Who knows.... |

I'm thinking that the US release plan is just yet ANOTHER example of the overall plan that's been associated with BASARA as of late: "Same product, various approaches". Because in the end, marketing the BASARA brand in the US could be basically seen as yet another sample of how Capcom is willing to try and sell BASARA in as many viable ways as possible. To that end, a US release can't be any more in the way of "far out" as say, making a 2D fighter out of the franchise, or tying in a Pizza Hut/Rice Brand promo. BASARA's main fanbase will still likely be in Japan. And that, to me, is just fine, because, at least for right now, the US release is certainly another "experiment" unto itself. And even if the US is receiving of BASARA-love, it would have to be on the basis that the series is definitely a Japanese one. I'd like to think that such things wouldn't be a problem, in today's world, but we'll certainly see. |

Hmmm for me it's quality over quantity, in SB Matsu, Nouhime, Kasuga and Oichi are all awesome personality and gameplay wise, the only female I really dislike is Itsuki for the 'loli' factor. But in SW besides Ina and Ginchiyo I can't stand any of them, especially characters like Okuni and Gracia... Edited by DarkDante, Wed Sep 30, 2009 10:49 am.

Well since little Takechiyo grew up some for this game, hopefully it's the same for all the other kids in the series. Obviously ran won't be making a comeback for now, but we can still hope that itsucki and musashi get the same treatment. They're both in dire need of a change anyway, so we'll see what kobayashi has up his sleeve. |

..... OMDS Have i missed out or what!! this has been my first post since last year september! and so much has happened here SENGOKU BASARA 3 SENGOKU MUSOU 3 my heads gonna pop I have to be honest though sengoku musou 3 looks disappointing so far why are they only releasing it on the wii??? they put dynasty warriors on next gen (WTH ) and the gameplay looks kinda blocky along with the animations but the new characters look cool but for me it's the game that counts not the pretty looking characters Basara on the other hand looks Amazing! (i'm HAPPY to see it on the ps3) this is gonna be insane! i hope they add online co-op but i've been reading up on the chat history and theres talk about cutting characters what do you guys mean but cutting characters like story wise or dynasty wise? good to be back

Well, I´ll answer your questions then First thing: Co-Op is confirmed by IGN, at least for the PS3 version of SB3. Then for the cut characters, the ones we are pretty much sure of are: Imagawa Yoshimoto Oda Nobunaga Noh Ranmaru Akechi Mitsuhide Azai Nagamasa Toyotomi Hideyshi Takenaka Hanbei(if Hideyoshi´s gone, he´s probably too) Characters confirmed to be so far(through website, pictures, videos): Date Masamune Katakura Kojuuro Sanada Yukimura Sarutobi Sasuke Tokugawa Ieyasu Honda Tadakatsu Môri Motonari Chôsokabe Motochika The rest...well...lies in Kobayashi´s hands and I hope he won´t make some grave mistakes...yes, I mean Hisahide, make him playable And don´t worry it won´t end up as Dw6 part two. We´ll get a deeper story+fighting system and "dozens of characters". I bet the dozens is a lie and it´ll "only" be around 30 characters overall...which is a letdown for some, since a lot expect as exchange for all the cut characters, at least a 35-40 character roster(I´m one of them )...but hey, as long as the new characters don´t dissapoint and there are no NPC characters...I´m okay with it Have you allready watched all the videos BTW? If not you gotta do it, it helps to cover up the wound of the cut characters...can´t wait for the game BTW Seraphil, thanks for the tip. Should´ve looked at amazon first I only found it for around 30 bucks...meh

LOL, so they get another excuse to update the site easy with this. We already know that the in-game pics have quality as good as the event ones. Next week we'll have Mitsunari's in-game screenshots, then the week after Masamune's, and after another week it's Yukimura's. Just when will we get new info already? Even the morale in 2ch is on all-time low now. I also doubt I can hype the board any longer. If next week there's still no new info we might end up shifting our attention to Hokuto Musou (?) that should be announced soon. |

Is that confirmed somewhere? I thought kobayashi said that we would get new info this month... And these weeks of drought feel like how it was in the weeks before one of the previous games' release, what with the t-shirts/goodies and random screens and everything they showed after the good stuff. ...Only difference is that we still have months to wait, and we've yet to see any of the good stuff. But in all seriousness, this is getting to be kinda irritating. I guess we don't really have a right to complain but at this rate they could've just announced the game, shown the site, and gave us all the info (the main 4 and their pages plus screens, etc) 3 weeks or so before TGS. INstead they chose to thin all of that out as long as possible. Dragging out site updates with something as silly as (already seen) game screens or a sample of a character's voice is just...bleh. Guess we should be thankful koei hasn't slacked on info all that much? Though it's hardly a compensation.
