Sengoku BASARA 3 (in NA: SB Samurai Heroes); Out in 2010 - PS3&Wii Multi!

Sounds fine and Her Basara seems great...i still think if she has two machinguns or sniper rifles??? :unsure:

I wonder if her BASARA will also be affected by her Specials like her S-string is. That would be interesting. The thought came to mind because in the last scan Crimsondramon uploaded (on page 83) she had magnum's during her BASARA.

Also has their been any confirmation yet on the specials system yet? I got a feeling it might be more similar to Devil Kings than SB2/H, with players holding R1 (or another of the trigger buttons) and then square, triangle and circle become Special 1, 2, and 3 respectively. That is what makes the most sense for having 3 specials available without switching them SB2/H style.

If that is the case however, I wonder if triangle will become a prime attack and work like it did in DK or if it will be something else entirely.

Heh, Mago's skills look pretty immense, and even though her Basara doesn't seem like Cloud's AC Omni Slash, it looks bad ass none the less. The voice is great, though, like Hondam, I reckon some parts sound... odd. Still, I'll bet it was intentional... I probably just have to get used to it. Well, these new characters have certainly set the bar high. Lets hope the up coming ones won't dissapoint.

Also, its great seeing the Yuki vid in decent quality. I've never noticed before, but it seems like a day progression stage, starting at dawn and gradually getting lighter. I'm seriously hoping the Jump Festa demo is released on PSN... you can only play SB2H for so long... Also, seeing as I'm in a hoping mood, it'd be nice to see a Yoshi vid next update.

AdawgDaFAB: Hmm, I really can't remember the skill system in DK, from the little I played it, but I assume it'll be something similar. It'd be great if they could totally comfirm it though.

The character videos for this game are well, too good :D . I think they look brilliant and makes me wonder if the person playing is a pro ^_^ . Also, they are releasing these gameplay videos and can't see much changing, I mean, the combat for this game looks pretty much complete, so why the long wait for the release, there dosn't look much more else to do :wacko: ?

I heard the release date for JPN could potentially be June right :blink: ? That means EU/US release could be what, November-ish. The thought of wait for this game for another 10 months just, freaks me out :blink: .

Well, this is the demo, there could be thousands of things they want to add. They will most likely update the graphics further, add the stories and cutscenes for characters, finish their move sets etc. There are many finishing touches fro them to do, and these will take some time.

Apparently the ENG release will be spetember. :o

I suppose yeah, I wonder if a playabe demo will be out one day too ;) . Cutscenes are a deffo, they'll be adding those into the game still, especially if the full character roster still isn't done yet :o . I'd hate it if they had done al the characters but was deliberately taking their time showing us :lol: .

Ugh, September, that IS depressing, I'd be in a whole new year of Uni by then and have no time to play it :o . Sucks, but I can always indulge in it greatly over holidays :rolleyes: .

MP: I could be wrong since this is all from memory but the Devil Kings system was like this: Square = Attack, Triangle = Prime Attack, Circle = Whatever they called BASARA attacks and X = Jump. The 2 equipped special attacks were done with R1+ Triangle or R1 + Circle. IIRC you could do Musou style combos like Square, Square, Square, Triangle which would prime them with the last hit (I guess that would be P4 in similar lingo to Musou movesets, lol).

Wait, won't make it to the states until December? Hm... that means' we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg (overused metaphor or whatever) here. Interesting.

I approve of Magoichi's Japanese voice. I understand where it sounds weird but I'm pretty sure it's intentional.

Magoichi's voice is...interesting. A little too gruff but still feminine. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. Since I'm planning on getting the English release, I'm more concerned about how the English voices sound anyway.

Oh man, the Yukimura vid looks so much more awesome in high-quality. I purposefully ignored it for the past couple of weeks in order to enjoy it more now. The whole "mirror reflecting sunlight into deadly beams" gimmick is pretty cool. And I didn't notice the change from dawn to day at first. No way those are two different levels; looks like SB3's adding to the realism with a possible day/night system. Sweet.

Well, all of the given vids are gone, and now it's time for the new ones. If the pattern really is as obvious as I think it is (in order based on how they are ordered on the site), then the next vid should be Yoshitsugu. Awesome; let's see how the cripple kicks ass.

I actually like Mago's voice, her BASRA looks fierce too. In the Yukimura vid you could clearly hear the music this time, and let me say this, it was EPIC! I can't wait to hear more of the track for the rest of the game, heres hoping for some more Abingdon boy's school! ^_^

@Chibi: Wont make it to the states until September apparently, at least that is what all the ordering sites say, and it sounds about right to me.

I approved the japanese voice of Magoichi too. ^_^

Sounds like an womam with great and might personality, and pass the impression of feminility too.

I love this version of Magoichi! :heart:

I see the video with Yukimura's gameplay. It's crazy!! :hehe:

Yeah, I loved Magoichi's voice too! Of course it's tough and "manly", but what did you expect anyway? I think it fits her perfectly...

Let's hope her video reaches the net...somehow....


EDIT: BTW, this is what she says:

hmm,i guess capcom saw that there are too much male magoichi these days,and perhaps too many womanizers in SB so they decide to smack the males with the SB version magoichi instead,take that,KG!>.<

plus this one is more concerned about the saika faction more than the "other" magoichis who seems to be a one man army/merc kind of guy

I like Mago's voice, suits her well from what her personality is said to be. And can't wait to see that Basara attack in action!

The day/night cycle was an interesting observation. I wonder if it'll be used in gameplay at all.
Like, if you take too long on a mission and it becomes night, and if a certain officer is still alive, he starts ambushing your allies and bases. Or if you're in a castle and it becomes night, ninjas start springing up out of nowhere.).

Has Kobayashi (or anyone) said anything about EVERY character having a unique gameplay attribute?
(i.e. Mago's weapon swapping, Yoshitsugu's lock-on/mark thing).

I might be late on this, but I just watched Ieyasu's vid again and noticed that at one point he uses his S-sting, but with a delay before each hit, his fist glows and it hits "harder".

Also, fingers-crossed that we get a Yoshitsugu or Mago vid along with Keiji's voice on Christmas Eve! :D

I did write December. Five years spent in college and nothing but DEEDEEDEE moments to show for it.

September isn't that much better, but eh, better than December? Either way, a while ahead. Makes me wonder, at this pace and given the Japanese release date being July(right?), how much the game will have. Oo Could be a lot, I mean, Kobayashi might have one big, massive release more towards the end and will drown his fans in excitement, to make up for the wait now? Hm...

I'm guessing shes gonna totally out shine Nou... she'll have to step up her game when she returns. Also, Keiji's new skills look great. The spinning sword looks pretty cool, and, of course, lol at Yumekichi with the bomb :hehe:

Oh, and before some of you get excited about the day progression thing, remember, we had a similar stage in SB2, Battle at Kawanakajima- Destiny, so I wouldn't expect it to be implemented in all the stages...

Wasn't that stage in SB2H, with Ieyasu and Hondam (Was it Komaki?) had a dawn-day cycle, not really nighttime, but..yeah.

Really? Dammit. I never played SB2, so I didn't know. Well, you never know, it might be on it. :unsure:

before everyone starts dissing noh's "outdated" weapons,here's some reminders

-she has a rocket launcher ish weapon,only she aims it at the ground(and surprisingly its able to burrow through),funny how the animation looks like kalina ann's micromissile in DMC3 though

-bigass gatling gun>all(including mago's assault rifle,with or without grenade attachment>.<),too bad the effectiveness wanes in harder diffs but still,huge gatlings are way ahead of sengoku,its more like a modern heavy vulvan gun than a classic gatling IMO

-noh has a pair grenade launchers(the one with huge revolver chambers) as one of her equipable weapons,even though it doesnt fire grenade its still awesome and "way ahead" in terms of design

-we still don't know whether her BASARA was a ki attack or nobunaga had a demonic satellite weapon flying in orbit..

just some piece of mind....

Found a lot of impressions in 2ch. I don't know if some of them are really reliable or not...

First, the control method.

PS3
Skill 1: T
Skill 2: T+L3 (!?)
Skill 3: T+S or R1
Activate Boost: L2

Wii Remote+Nunchuck
Normal Attack: A
Skill 1: B
Skill 2: B + D-pad
Skill 3: B+A
Taunt: 1
Activate Boost: -
Guard: Probably C
Basara Attack: Remote Waggle

Wii Classic Controller (basically almost the same with PS3)
Skill 1: X
Skill 2: X + D-pad
Skill 3: R or X+Y (?)

And looks like Yukimura has some serious issues, from his conversation with Kenshin.

And about the clash thing, apparently if both your and enemy attacks hit simultaneously 3 times, it will result in hi-speed clash like in the TGS trailer.

And when selecting a character there's a "completion percentage", which possibly marks how much of the story has been done.

The graphic difference is obvious (people say PS3 graphic is very good), but the contents, difficulty and crowdiness should be the same.

About the character artworks, it's mainly only 3D. Though rest assured, the main character designer is still Tsuchibayashi. They plan on releasing a Complete Works book, but even then the Tsuchibayashi art might not be too many.

There are some skills that may not return. (But at least it shouldn't be as few as SBBH. w)

When you activate the Battle Time Boost, everyone else are in slow motion, including enemy commanders who are doing their Basara attack.
And apparently if the enemy is using Basara attack you can block it.

Ieyasu's taunt is putting on his hood and you can keep using S-string with the hood on. But if you use a skill it will fall again.

And Hanbei is confirmed already dead as well. But the characters who are already dead in SB3 will appear in the prologue manga (Sengoku BASARA 3 Episode Zero)
