DW6 Empires Freezing Up?; Game freezing on the 360

Seems the search function is still acting weird for me, so I'm sorry if this has already been posted. I just got this game for the 360 today. What I've managed to play of it, I've really liked. However... that's pretty limited. I haven't gotten very far. I'm getting horrible load times on several things, such as face changes in edit mode, especially hair. Some of the screens where my Ruler is giving me orders also take a while to load. The battles themselves are smooth and there's no slowdown. But the most annoying thing is that twice now the game has froze completely. It seems to happen when I exit out of the "Purchase" menu. Not everytime, but it has happened twice now. I know the good rule of gaming is to save often, but I really don't want to have to save after every trip to the shop and every battle and every interraction etc etc just in case it freezes. What I want to know is, do I have a bad copy of the game and need to return it? Or has anyone else with the US 360 version experienced these issues?

SHAKUNETSU HADOUKEN! Posts: 402 Group: Members Member #16,670 Joined: July 9, 2008	Why don't you try installing the game data on your X360?I do not exactly remember how..but you can do so.Sometimes by installing some game data on your X360,it will help the game load faster and perform better(reduce loading times to be short).

Foolish little brother... Posts: 619 Group: Members Member #799 Joined: February 26, 2006	I have the 360 version and I've never experienced a complete freeze of the game. I wouldn't know about edit mode since I haven't made a character yet though but my guess would be that its the disc.

Since no other games I own have these issues I'm thinking its the game now. I'll check how much space it takes and decide if I want to install or just return it. If its some sort of misread causing the freeze up I hope that will work...

General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	well i have ps3 version and i played it lots of times for hours on end. recently it froze one time. when the screen changed from order mode to strategy mode. there is two reasons why this may have happened. 1. i rushed the computer from talking and wanted to get to the strategy phase quickly so it comfused the machine and froze the game.. 2. the machine was over heated and could not respond to what was happening. so i just angrily stopped the game and reloaded. and i had to start all over again from the last save spot... basically i lost a lot of territory......

	After over 30 hours of dying, restarting files and a large body count. I can now say I completed Empires on Chaos. 9996... 9997... 9998... 9999...
