Just in the recent past my Ling Tong had a level 10 weapon, though it's been weakened to level 2. yeah i have this problem too. sun ce 2 times. the first time, i thought it was because i upgraded his weapon but traded him off before i finish the game. later, i play a new game this time sun ce as ruler. i completed it, and start a new game to see if it worked. it was back to level 1 and all skills and so on was gone. somehow i'm glad that this is a glitch. because i thought my memory was going bad lol. i haven't upgrade ling tong's yet. but do you think this happens to 1 random officer or could it be a sun ce and ling tong thing? I've read it's because the weapon stats and properties (Specials) are not recorded if that character does not take part or is alive in that given scenario. So like Lu Bu and Zhang Jiao, they'll have problems keeping their weapons. Supposedly the JP version has been patched.

I selected 'Keep all weapons' and started as SSX and at my first mercenary mission SSX had her weapon at lvl.2, which I'm sure was the level in the last game. o-o (I didn't play as her, but she still had it at lvl.2 when I was checking my officers)

Playing with Ending Edits... on clip 3-1 (Officer gets drunk off his chair while friend looks around in confusion) I picked Ling Tong and Gan Ning. Behold my surprise when the clip plays and there is no Gan Ning. Instead, there is Xiahou Dun o.O. So I switched their places, making Gan Ning the wasted one, and Ling Tong the confused observer - but the same result was had. Xiahou Dun got drunk instead of Gan Ning. I tried picking Xiahou Dun then, thinking maybe it would show up as Gan Ning instead. But it doesn't. I guess there's just no way to get Gan Ning in this clip. X)

It's just a bug where the game doesn't record the weapon stats at the end since he or she is not findable or something. @Kittn: You're not the first, I've read about this problem a few times before.

Posts: 3,650 Group: Members Member #4,250 Joined: November 19, 2006	Last night I was playing as my CAW and at the Victory sceen, somehow her feet were sunked into the ground like quicksand almost lol. It seemed rather odd and I wonder if anyone else noticed this too with some of the CAWs or characters?

Also a lot of female warriors have problems with large male officer weapons in the victory stances too. Like it wont exactly be in their hands. Sun Jian's sword, for example, will be floating next to the CAW when she ends her victory 'dance'. It caused me to change from his sword to Lu Xun's for my CAW.

General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	yeah lu bu and sun ce have had problems with their weapons for me as well. however my ling tong has kept his weapon.... had a strange one just yesterday i fought an enemy officer named ying dan. when i killed him the game told me i just killed shen dan. that's odd..

I didn't bother to change the weapon though because it was my Lady Wu CAW which I am going recreate again anyways once I get my favorite costumes back.... :\

Sergeant Posts: 29 Group: Members Member #10,941 Joined: November 9, 2007	I had this weird bug aswell, I leveled my CAW's cao pi sword to lvl10. then i changed his weapon to ma chao's sword because i wanted to lvl that weapon aswell but keep the CAW. so i load my completed campaign and choose bonuses: keep weapons, keep horses. I look at the info screen and i have a lvl10 ma chao sword although i was pretty sure i never played ma chao before nor level him as a friend/officer. anyone had this aswell? EU X360 version.

Average Member Guy Posts: 569 Group: Members Member #10,883 Joined: November 7, 2007	Thats not a bug, the game remember the character's weapon, not the weapon its self. Weird thing happened with me today, was in the middle of empire mode then it sent me back to the main menu. Was changing the BG before a battle and it just randomly happened.
