Quan seems okay except the horse charge and his strong grabble, triangle grabble which does not work. I've stated this in a previous post. |

I'm pretty sure his actual sword doesn't hit anything in his charge combo either. I have to wait until the projectile before enemies can be dealt with. |

When someone jumps above you, it does work. A flying luitenant conveniently fell on my charge attack, causing damage and further flight. |

Well, I'll stick Sun Quan in anyway - the more the, um...better, I suppose. I think it's safe to say now that every character in this game is bugged in one way or another (and most likely mainly on the EU PS3 version).

It's a shame KOEI didn't add a free mode, so we could test every character out. The process would be much faster that way. |

What I did do before I returned the game, however, was take my CAW into battle and test out the moveset (since CAW movesets appear to be as bugged as their non-CAW counterparts), then change the weapon and test the moveset again. As the weapon stats of a CAW appear to remain even if the weapon is changed, being able to jump in and out of battles with the full attack strings available was pretty helpful. ...but yeah, Free Mode would still be nice.

That was indeed appropiate! Is it so hard for KOEI just to copy/paste the DW6 movepool to this game? Although, I haven't found any problems with Cao Pi's moveset. Seems that one is ok. |

"Useless" indeed. And yeah, apart from the usual horse/grapple stuff, Cao Pi seems to be pretty stable as a whole (in fact, the majority of the Special characters appear to have got off quite lightly). His True Speed normal attack seems to be a bit "off" though, but perhaps that was just me...I can't really remember.

I think that second hit of his True Speed is just a horrible attack. It does hit and does damage for me, so I don't think that's a real moveset issue. |

Alrighty then. I've never actually played DW6 Special, so it's a little harder for me to pick out faults with the Special characters since I've no personal experience to compare them with. Still, they mostly seem to be of playable standard...as long as you don't spam horsey attacks all day long.

I've added Zhang He in with a faulty horse charge (does not hit anything) and strong triangle grabble. Hmm so many of these are the strong grabbles not working. Edited by LittleDragonZ, Jul 8 2009, 02:27 PM.

The reason I didn't include Zhang He, is because I've had this at the top of the list all along: Many characters (Faulty mounted attacks, faulty Strong Grapple attacks) But...ok.

Maybe adding all those stuff to each character will be more specific. People might hope someone has a good working grapple, but then they try it out and see it fails. They will know from each character which attacks work/does not work. Maybe it's just my way of putting things down, but do as you please.

Yeah, I suppose that's better. I'll only be able to include what's been mentioned in the last few pages though - since while I can remember that a lot of characters had the same issues, I can't remember exactly who they were. Edit: Done. No Xiao Qiao issues as of yet I see.

It's seems that it's only the EU PS3 version. At least I haven't come across any problems with my EU 360 version. |

There seems to be relatively more PS3's with these issues then 360. Also, the consoles with these problems are most likely to be PAL/EU. Edit: Lord_Cao_Cao beat me to it. Edited by strategist_jeffo, Jul 8 2009, 05:52 PM.

Yeah, adding them individually would be better. But there's a strong vibe out of the mounted faults and strong grabbles, I've just started with Cao Cao and both of his don't work - no mounted charge or strong grabble. I've added him in. Edited by LittleDragonZ, Jul 8 2009, 09:07 PM.

Phantom hand doesn't work on: Bow User Whip-like User (Sima Yi, Diao Chan, Zhen Ji) Dian Wei type of slinging weapon... Below is the copy/paste from a JP wiki for the game about Phantom Hand: "多くのキャラで必須。ただし、伸び率はモーションによって違う。司馬懿・鞭・孫尚香・典韋には効果が発揮されない。" Cao Pi's true speed just sucks period I have the Chinese version and the Japanese version on a US PS3, both seems to play fine. I don't see anything buggy. Seriously though, if you play on Chaos mode, most attacks are moot anyways... you just use normal swing, some special, start evading with the air ring, and musou... Since this game is much more focused on clearing crowds and mechanics are different I am playing very differently than DW6... I used to abuse Xiao Qiao's strong counter with ice element, but it really doesn't work, and not useful really ![]() Grapple was mainly used to build renbu, now it's just pretty much for picking off officers. But even that, the evasion air ring that you can get breaks guard... I swear that move made this game so easy lol... |

What does that JP text state? I'm not Japanese. And Guardian Ring is also very handy to farm some gold. Add double and steal and you've got yourself a goldmine. |

I really hate the Phantom Hand glitches. Sima Yi, Zhen Ji, and Diao Chan do nothing and it really pisses me off when the actual character comes and has range! I haven't had any problem with Zhuge Liang's JC. It's his Jump Attack that I have problems. I have the US PS3 version. Also I have to say the horse attacks on mine all work. There's no missing... |

Yep, though some characters can't even manage that. As for the Phantom Hand issues, I can sort of understand SSX - you can't exactly increase the range of an arrow that much after all (I honestly don't even remember how SSX's DW6 default weapon worked at max Renbu...did she shoot off more arrows than the Skill or Power weapons did or anything?), but the other characters with the problem are harder to explain. Moreover - since I can't read Japanese, I have no idea if these characters were intended to be incompatible with Phantom Hand or not...I'll add them to the 1st post for now anyway (along with DQF's Zhuge Liang jump attack). ![]() Re: Xiao Qiao's strong counter - is it actually broken, or is it just rubbish?

Phantom Hand is awesome, a real pain some characters it doesn't effect when it should. It's a total killer on Cao Pi's already impressive quick swings. And I agree, I don't understand the choices KOEI made when giving the initial abilities. Like Zhou Yu with Fire (guess it was Chi Bi related) is a more poorer choice than giving him True Speed which he had in 6, which is a destroyer like Zhao Yun's. Guan Yu had Swift Attack in DW6 which was impressive, yet decided to give him True Speed here, which is not. It's a good thing you can overwrite, though. |

Besides some of the retarded default abilities on people's weapons as mentioned already (like true speed on folks that swing like twice a run wtfins), I've had no moveset issues at all. Well none that seem buggy, anyway. Can't stand Xiao Qiao's, and Meng Huo's poison mushroom vomit thingy at the end of his charge string of attacks leaves him wide open to the rear and usually results in me getting knocked the bleep out... Using US 360 version, and haven't seen any of the issues that have been mentioned. |
