Share your hints and tips with your fellow KWer's here! I created a good main game strategy: Get Ma Chao, Sun Wukong, and Toshiie Maeda to level 99 and get their best weopons then buff them up with custimize weopons. Then, while you do the main game in hard or chaos, use this strategy: Use Sun Wukong for Traveling and wiping out large groups of soldiers with C4(Square, square, square, triangle), Use Ma Chao to kill officers quickly with his C3(Square, Square, Mash triangle till attack is finished), then use Toshiie's mousou to take out hard enemies like Lu Bu and Kiyomori, also for the enemey commanders, his mosou is the ultimate attack! Sun Wukong can climb up cliffs if u go up to the cliff and jump then hit triangle. Some cliffs are too high though, but most are possible. Sun Wukong also has the highest mobility. He can do the speed character double jump and then charge attack which makes him fly farther. If Ma chao is at low health, Toshiie can act as a substitute for him. Same with Sun Wukong. If your trapped in a large group, Switch to Sun Wukong and Use his special, right as u hit R1 hit Square. This will turn him into a giant monkey that will smash through the enemies, or you can use the double jump and Air Charge. All of this should allow you to take an easier stroll through chaos.

Meh, not really. Really, anyone maxed out at level 99 can walk through this game. Take Kunoichi and Cao Ren, for example. They are probably two of the most broken characters in the game seeing as how they don't even have to be maxed out to clear Chaos. EDIT: Level "99" not 50 ... I'm still playing Strikeforce

Hells yeah. You know as well as I do that Rockman is a two-legged win button.Add Huang Zhong to that list as well. His C1-ex self-sustains with Absorb, tears through officer pileups, and can one-shot Orochi X on chaos when he's tricked out. |

Haha yeah, I forgot about the old man. It's been awhile since I played any version of this, so I forgot some of the moveset buffs. If this topic gets moved to the Guides section, it needs to say only: Cao Ren Your Warriors Orochi 2 Win Button I miss his C3ex right now

Tadakatsu remains one of the stronger characters, yes. But because of the way the weapon elements work in this game, Cao Ren's Tech 3rd charge attack (S, S, R1 instead of T) gets a special bonus in that all of the beams he shoots out carry your Bolt, Flash, Slay, Air, Might, etc. elements. One of those moves can one-shot Shin Orochi on Chaos and it literally clears the battlefield because its a spread shot (3-5 beams, IIRC). Plus, if you have Absorb equipped, you can regain what you lost by just using the regular charge attacks. Think of Mitsunari Ishida's L+R1 from the original WO on steroids

C2-ex isn't quite as strong as C3-ex, but it did get a heck of a damage boost and it also benefits from weapon elements. Depending on Cao Ren's weapon build, when he's maxed, a direct C2-ex grab will one-shot either regular generics or boars on 5-star chaos. I show a lot of officer bombing in the video I linked earlier in the thread. |

Click on Rydain's link to see how that works Pay attention to how much musou is used for those moves vs. how much he regains with Absorb. This remains one of the finer demos of maximized solo Chaos runs out there. EDIT: What Rydain said

Hint- Easy officer killing: Use Nu Wa's R1+Direction, the officer should be frozen. Then use musou on them. VERY simple. |

Hint - Equip Yoshimoto with Almighty and watch him become a GOD  There are a few officers who benefit from the freeze + musou method (Kojiro and Toshiie come to mind). Musou plays such a limited role in the Orochi series though that its best to reserve it for R1 specials, except for those already mentioned. Tip - Make sure that you take advantage of a character's strengths. For example, for most TEC characters, don't equip Ice since it negates the ability to land critical hits with the Air attribute. Most of this has already been covered in various topics/guides but its good to refresh with the release of WO2 PSP. |

@Smily Man: I do see a flaw in this attack you said though. The enemy Nu Wa froze will only stay frozen for only five to six seconds. Meaning that you have short time to kill that person you froze and also you can't hardly hit them because they are so little, meaning that 70% of Nu Wa's attacks from her moveset, will be missed. @Mr. Honda: I can't hardly see how Cao Ren is so broken. have you tried using him in a hard stage.

I think the special you think I said is Nu Wa's R1, not her R1+direction. Last time I checked Nu Wa's R1+direction doesn't make people small.

Just watch the video Rydain posted above. You'll see video evidence of everything stated so far in this topic. Yes, I played Cao Ren when I had WO2. I fully maxed him out in the original WO and was on my way to doing it again in WO2 before I was forced to sell of my PS2 + games. Prior to selling, he was easily one of my stronger characters. I rarely struggled on any stage with him. |

If you hit triangle right after you do the flip from getting knocked down, you imediatly stand up, it may take practice though |

The good ol' profeiciency farming trick : Play Itsukishima and kill all of the officers. Tip: A killer team for survival mode is Himiko, Gracia and Orochi X. Tip: When facing a friend, when playing Tag Team, a good way to beef up Gyuki is to use Hideyoshi special. It helps with attack speed a lot. Tip: When using Guan Yu's C6, try to stay close to the enemy(s) , otherwise it barely does damage. That all for now.

In survival, long ranged speed characters help a ton. Use Masamune, Himiko, and Sun Wukong. As they are all speed characters, they are very good and elusive. They all posses attacks that when jumping, shot stuff. They all have high mobility to get away from enemies with the air dash. |
