(Can't you sticky it?)

Ok, how about this: make a rough timeline of the battles, starting with the first battle involving at least one person we know, and ending with unification. Be as specific or as vague as you like.

So like...Ieyasu?

-Okehazama (He didn't participate in it personlly, but his "Master" did)
-Mikatagahara
-Anegawa
-Nagashino
-Nagakute
-Komaki
-Sekigahara
-Land Unified 3 years after this
-Seige of Osaka

Those are the main battles I can think of right now, anyway.

Ok, now summarize each of the battles of Kawakajima. *evil grin*

I just know I'm abusing my right to ask questions here now.

I was going to do that, but I thought it would be too much trouble.

Yeah. I sorta noticed. All this time, you've been asking the questions and HT's been answering.

Well, I've been meaning to learn more about this era, and what better way than to ask our resident expert?

True. And, if it's not too much trouble, I, too, have a question:

Who was a member of the Saika Mercenaries? Other than Saika Magoichi, of course.

And speaking of them, third question: I heard there were two Magoichis: The Ikko-ikki one and the Saika Mercs one.

....XD

All of the battles? No thanks. XD I'll just do the biggest one, the 4th, Gryffin.

A rear attack against Kenshin was in the works. Though I dont know how, He heard of this plan and moved his entire camp down the Mountain he was on. Kenshin supposedly rode straight towards Shingen's camp (All by himself, I might add) and appeared right IN FRONT of Shingen. Now in just about EVERY battle ever fough in Japan's history, an instance when 2 leaders of an army fought in battle was VERY rare. Back to the story now. Kenshin charged straight for Shingen and attacked 7 times I believe with his sword. Shingen had quickly used his War Fan to block all the blows by Kenshin. Kenshin then ran away to lead his army once more. And I'm pretty sure the battle lasted MUCH longer after this incident, but I dont know.

I see you got your name changed.

In my opinion, Mitsuhide just helped the war and suffering to last longer.

Why wasn't there a 5th Kawanakajima after Shingen and Kenshin died? They could've left it to their sons (Katsuyori and...whoever Kenshin's successor was).

In your opinion, though.

The reason I like Mitsuhide because, in one night, he challenged the whole Way of the Samurai. Betrayal, venegeance, hatred, anger, and all the other emotions that I admire, Mitsuhide took them all into battle.

And Sean, there was a 5th Battle at Kawanakajima. o_O

Um...

You see, Sean, the 4th battle was the major battle at Kawanakajima. All the others were either small skirmishes or just really short. So to get to the point: There is almost jack information on the other 4 battles.

Gah. So, who took over Uesugi and Takeda after Kenshin and Shingen died?

If this question is just as dumb as asking for an overview of the 5th battle of Kawanakajima, just delete this post.

Takeda Katsuyori (Shingen's...2nd son if memory serves) Took over the Takeda. And then Kenshin's nephew (Kagekatsu...was it?) took over the Uesugi.

Well yes, it is still my opinion but also a fact that more war came because of him.

Mitsuhide presented the opening for Hideyoshi's rise to power, and consequently Ieyasu's. Who knows what would have happened if Nobunaga had lived beyond Honnouji- but it's doubtful that the invasion of Korea or the usurpation of the Toyotomi would have played out.

Actually, no. Mitsuhide's rebellion made probably about...1 more week of war? He was killed and his rebellion sqaushed 6 days after his assassination of Nobunaga.

"Lawl but what bout hideyshoi and iyasu?!?! Te fought tooo u know lolo!!!"

A struggle for power between Ieyasu and either Nobunaga or Hideyoshi was bound to come regardless of Mitsuhide's rebellion.

Hmm. I didn't know you were fluent in chat-speak.

Anyway, what was the reason of Yukimura's lone charge into Ieyasu's camp again?
Was he crazy? Never mind. Don't mind that crossed-out part.

It was more or less because he knew his day had come. The Toyotomi were done for and thier fate sealed. So he just picked up a spear and went for the gold.

So basically, it wasn't a direct order to charge alone, eh? He did it just because he could?
